Indian Express: Shah Rukh Khan’s collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani is a crashing bore. The only one who leaves an impact is Vicky Kaushal: his brief but memorable arc reminds you of the earlier Hirani who could make you laugh and cry.
Film Companion : Khan is not a convincing crier, the pursing of the lips and the quivering jaw. None of the emotional scenes work not even the part where Hardy somehow engages a tense British judge with his monologue of a border free planet.
SRK's acting was woeful of the lot.Vicky was the only bright spot in the film as far as performance is concerned.

Dunki is so tedious, beleaguered performances, outdated jokes and absolutely not entertaining in the least. But at the end of the day is it a good movie with heart? :) Again, no.
