Can Sai Pallavi make it big in Bollywood?

I really didn't know much about her except watching a couple of songs where she was excellent.

Then I watched her interview with Anupama Chopra and was awestruck by her simplicity and warm personality. She's different from the rest. There's something about her that is so so attractive.

Can someone brief me about her career? Is she a popular actress down South? Will she ever move to Bollywood?

Sai Pallavi was an amazing dancer in Telugu's dance reality show called "Dhee", she is a Doctor and she became actress too after becoming popular in dance reality show "Dhee". Her debut movie in Telugu "Fidaa" was a hit and she acted in many other movies in South which became hit, she acted in Telugu and Tamil as far as I know. She is a very natural actress, don't even use makeup in her movies.

She probably can’t. There is a certain amount of abandon needed for a quintessential BW heroine which I doubt Sai possesses.

Her looks were thought to be not suiting movies at all ,for that matter. But you have to see it to believe how she simply gets into the skin of the character and magically transforms every frame that she is in. Her screen presence is something that only a few can boast of.

The only thing I know about her is based on some of her songs I’ve seen on YouTube and she is an amazing amazing dancer.

As for Bollywood, it is very much possible that she can find critical success and have some massive hit songs which will increase her popularity. But she gives the vibes of someone who isn’t very uninhibited and that can limit your choices and even career trajectory. Someone who’s watched her movies should weigh in here, but she seems to have a comfort zone for lack of a better word.

Didn't she quit acting? I read somewhere that she refused role of Sita as she is quitting her acting career. Not sure

I don't think she wants to make it big in bw in the first place.

That aside, she's always played girl next door, relatable characters since her debut, Premam. She hasn't done any out and out glamorous roles, and I honestly don't think she's built for roles like that. She also has strict reservations regarding skin show and makeup. There's not much she can do in Bollywood other than target roles that go to the likes of Tapsee, Sanaya if she were to even act here. She's a great dancer, but won't do special songs or appearances. She'd probably fit the bill for a Bhansali movie, but I doubt she'd be able to beat Alia who's booked the next 4 movies with Bhansali because she wants to beat Deepika oof 😆

Also Malayalam. Her film 'Kali' with Dulquer is amazing. I wish they would do more films together, they looked cute.

Also her film Premam in Malayalam was a huge success.
