I liked his acting.I liked his script selections he did different genre of movies.He came a long way from Pyar ka Panchnama to Satyaprem ki Katha.He was good in Freddy,Akashvani and Dhamaka.He is good in comedy roles too.I liked the songs in his movies too.I think general audience is also neutral towards him.Being an outsider he came a long way to become what he is today.Maybe Kartik is not the best actor but he is still better than some of the nepos who get chances after chances.
He's actually a versatile actor....His performance in Akashvani dhamaka nd Freddy r proof of his versatility idk why people think he can only do comic roles...i believe they've stereotyped him coz that' how he started....but if you ever look at his filmography he's aced it when he's given opportunity.... he's the perfect romantic hero nd can do really good in horror nd psychological thriller genre....I hope he proves all the people who underestimated him wrong
