mmmhhh...if I wouldn't know the original (Tamil) Kaithi, this trailer would not make sense to me...I would just know that's a movie where cops fight against drug-smugglers and an ex-prisoner is involved in this fight (because he wants to see his daughter?)
I'm so tired of Hindi film-people still remaking other Indian movies in these times.
I don't find Tabu very expressive here (in the original, the main cop is a man).
I watched Kaithi because of Kamal Haasan's movie Vikram (also with Vijay S.).
Ajay is a poor director.

Kaithi was very good at creating an air of mystery about the hero. He's initially very quiet and low-key and wouldn't even meet the eyes of the policemen.(Ajay would be very good in the stoic part). His intensity and ruthlessness is unveiled scene by scene in glimpses. Like in the famous Biriyani scene where he tears into a chicken leg piece ravenously. Would they even show that scene here? Or will someone protest that it's against our culture?
Nope...that is too much violence for me...
hes making a movie every yearAjay is a poor director.
Didn’t work for me 😞
