approval isn't given by BJP, it is given by a municipal consisting of many political parties.

Sorry but it is ironic that you come up with stupid conspiracy theories after spending a good part of 2020 mocking the idiots who came with ridiculous theories regarding SSR's death.

Beware, you are becoming what you hate.

At least Indira Gandhi was a huge, influential political leader and she also happens to be the first(and last) female Prime Minister of India which was no mean feat. So again I repeat....on what/which basis are you comparing someone like her with a mere actor? https://i.ibb.co/qJnYYY3/rolleyes.gif

What you are trying to say is Indira Gandhi was something very very important and a bliss on earth and that a person like Sushant was a mere actor to be taken for granted on certain things like not to name a street after him as he was something mere.

Man that is the problem with people like you taking someone for granted. You are giving importance to a status someone has in a society, not to humanity.

He was so good at academics and an Indian who owned a land on moon that we got to know only after his death. Indira Gandhi was those who live by the gun, die by the gun.

lmao. what?

Indira Gandhi made a huge mark in history and is the only female Prime Minister India has ever had. Regardless of what you think of her politics, she had a massive contribution in the idea of India.

Sushant was just an actor and not even a huge one that had enormous impact on people with his art. His impact is his suicide and there's something cringe about naming a street after him because of that. It just shows the foolishness of the people asking for it and the people in government approving it.

Nobody is allowed to own land on the moon. It's a scam that people pay money for or maybe they do it as a joke.

As for humanity, in that case we should start naming roads after our parents and grandparents and best friends. Everyone I know is "good in academics." So what? It's really not a big deal.

Dear God! Indira Gandhi was the prime minister of India. Like her or not, she had an outsized impact on the trajectory of the country. I agree as humans both were of equal value. Art is important, but there is a difference between a regular artist and a prime minister when achievements are measured in terms of real life impact on society. That's what any public honor should be based on - impact on society. Not how nice they were or how good they were in studies.

Who decides what should be honored and what shouldn't be?! If a bunch of people put their heads together to name a road after SSR to commemorate him, why are some people acting like someone pissed in their cheerios?! Beats me. *shrugs*

Impact exists in all forms and you don't have to be a SRK or some other "superstar" for people to remember and honor you. Even they are not unanimously liked and there will always be naysayers who don't find SRK or other "superstars" of bollywood worthy enough either.

Also, every person leaves a circle of well-wishers and people who miss them dearly after they're gone. Don't people open up charities or foundations in the name of their dead aunt/uncle or parents too? People will always find ways to honor those who are long gone, one way or another. Expecting every person to be remembered by their dear ones based on their supposed "worth" prescribed by others makes no sense. The best thing you can do is live and let live.
