Hard work required to get in is for 'outsiders'. Getting in is the main thing . Whatever happens after that is secondary. Gullible ppl will continue to believe that a particular actor / actress is the best they have because of the constant publicity by their PR and directors when the truth is there might be other better actors who haven't been able to enter the industry because of its exclusiveness.

How will the audience form their own opinion if their mind is constantly feeded about particular actors being the best when there is no such thing? Most ppl just watch movies for their entertainment. They won't even care to form their own opinion and will watch movies only on the basis of publicity and reach of a particular star. Also, each nd evry actor has his own share of good and bad work. Have you heard anything about a best doctor or engineer? No! There is no measurement for the best and there is no criteria for it. The only criteria for being the best will depend on whose PR is the best. PR which most of the insiders can afford.

Ppl who want to pursue engineering or medicine have to do hard work to clear the exam and get in. The secondary hard work is after that and it is in all the fields.

Rakhi sawant is relevant because of controversies and negative publicity. No one goes on to say that she is the best dancer etc. Her surgeries also haven't turned out to be good maybe because of her inability to afford it like other bigger stars and insiders.

No matter how much you believe you are leading a revolution, there are always going to only be around 10-15 top actors of each gender. That's about it. You're not going to get hundreds of new actors all getting lead roles.

Acting isn't any big issue in BW anyway. It's just the most visible which is why fans are obsessed with it. The real problem with BW is poor behind-the-scenes talent - really bad writers and directors. They don't want to challenge the audience at all. They will keep on making the same trashy crappy movies because that's what the audience watches. BW looks bad around the world because of poor quality of movies, not because of the actors in them.

Agree, majority of the behind the cameras talent is bad in Bollywood but so is in front of the camera ones. But yes, in front of the camera ones get the flak the most as they are the ones whose faces are visible to the viewers.

Yes that is what i am talking about. They want everyone to believe ranbir is the best actor, alia is the best actress , kareena is the best actress , jhanvi was good as gunjan etc etc. It is basically a tug of war between the PR's. If you constantly keep saying the same thing then the occasional movie goers wouldn't care to form their own opinions . They will believe you and watch only those films related to those actors. Why will they watch movies of new outsiders who can't make themselves visible. Ppl who are really interested in watching meaningful stories and are not oblivious to PR tactics will see right through it. But that percentage of ppl will be really less.

At the end ,there is no such thing as the best actor. It differs with ppl's opinions. You can only increase your reach by moulding ppl's opinions into thinking that you are the best actor. That is the work of a good PR.

I disagree,

if getting in was the main thing then why Ayush, sooraj, imran didn’t become stars?

And not everyone has so much time to read about gossips.. I myself was a member here during 2012.. then I got busy with my life. But corona gave me a lot of free time to come back here. And I’m just a student, there are more people who are busier then me who just watch movies for the sake of entertainment and pass time. If PR was everything then guys like Ayushman, kartik and Rajkumar Rao wouldn’t be here today. They proved themselves as an actor and got what they deserve.

As my parents are doctors I can surely say yes there is a thing called best doctor. Because people often ask us who is the best cardiologist, gynaecologist in town/country and we suggest them whom we know. Same goes for the actors, you can’t exactly say who is the best actor.. for me it can be SRK for you it can be other person.

if controversies and pr could make a movie hit then kangana’s movies like rangoon, judgemental hai kya and simran would have been the biggest blockbusters ever

As long as she brings up Deepika , she will have fans . Deepika lives rent free in Kangana’s head.

She can’t even get Prakash ji’s name correctly who actually made India proud.

Utter shamelessness.

I don't condone his dig at Kangana but in life talk to people the way you want to be talked to. She can't demand respect, while disrespecting every other person. She is trashy in life , so expect some trash to fall on her. Can't cry over something you yourself endorse.

I don't think we can deny that getting it in extremely important. There might be a lot of good actors out there but I bet most don't even try because there is no way for them to even land their first movie. Knocking on producer's doors won't help. The truth is that there might be thousands who want to be actors but there are maybe 10 male leads and 10 female leads. In essence, the number of seats are extremely tiny.

Insiders get to jump over everyone and get their first lead role which is big, big deal. They at least have a 50% chance of making it versus like .000000005% for an outsider. The odds are so low for landing a lead role, it's basically like winning a MegaMillions jackpot.

There might be flops like Sohail and Arbaaz but Salman still gets to make it. Tanisha might be a disaster but Kajol gets to make it. With so many resources at your disposal, you only fail if you're really really really bad.

I personally don't give AF though. Outsiders already know it's like a lottery from the beginning. You are not owed a career where you make millions. There are plenty of other options out there. Go become something else or go work in TV or youtube videos. The world doesn't have to give you a red carpet.
