Instead of screaming DEVA like a shrilling banshee, you should have gracefully taken the news and excused yourself for a toilet break. You could have slowly walked down the staircase and then SPRINTED into a neck-breaking run when you were 100 METRES FROM THE DOOR!

ANYHOW in conclusion - Despite the flaws, I did love Devdas 😆. To all the Chandra-Deva fans, I hate to say it but HE loved PARO (he drank himself to death and whispered her name before dying) SO JUST ... LET IT GOOOOO LET IT GOOOOOOO

madhuri scenes and songs are the ones with repeat value.

aish and srk had no chemistry, such a sensuously filmed song, the blue saree one but they had nada chemistry

🤣 It is epic. It took the whole movie to the next level and I was sobbing harder than her at the end. BUT it doesn’t mean I don’t hold a grudge against her 😭

Also. Madhuri and Aishwarya were such QUEENS. The songs... oh my gosh. They can never be replicated/replaced. Damn I miss my childhood but atleast it was glorious because I grew up in that era instead of the current one 😆

More like forget this boring movie was ever made.

Devdas made Bengalis proud at international level because it is the first film on Bengal where Bengal is shown with lot of grandeur and colors and rich culture. This film was from an era when West Bengal and Bangladesh were one province of British India. So even the film had an impact on Bangladeshi households also alongside West Bengalis.

This film depicts culture of eastern states of India Otherwise Bollywood is just a Punjabi cultural shows.

It was too much visual extravegenza but the film was poety with motion. Very bright colorful film.

This film was the introduction of Bollywood to white people and the actress Aishwarya Rai was recognized in western media because of this film.

Aishwarya owes her career to SLB. If he did not give her HDDCS and Devdas she would have suffered a lot in Bollywood. Her other SLB is actually Ashutosh Gowariker who gave her Jodhaa Akbar.
