Street Dancer 3 And Panga First Day Business
Saturday 25 January 2020 11.30 ISTBox Office India Trade Network
Street Dancer 3 had average collections on day one of 9.50 crore nett and it should have done better as ABCD 2 collected more a few year back. This film is a franchise of that film although by name as another name had to be used due to IPR so thats takes a little shine of the film but that should have been compensated by the growth in business since 2015.
The film has not fared too well at the bigger multiplexes but is decent in some mass pockets, the bettter collections are in Mumbai and South but they should have been better here due to it being a dance film and these markets are traditionally better for dance films even if we go back to 1982 and Disco Dancer. Mumbai and South contribution is well over 50% of the business.
North India has not done well but that was sort of expected though ABCD 2 did manage some decent collections while ABCD 1 was a dud in North. In fact ABCD 2 is probably the only dance film in history to get some decent numbers in North. It remains to be seen what sort of growth the film can get on Saturday and considering the bigger multiplexes are low they have potential to grow a lot but the content may not be for these big multiplexes. Sunday should be good as its Republic Day and it should get a boost but even that will probably mean an average weekend and then the fate hanging on the weekdays.
Panga has done poor business of around 2 crore nett as it got sandwiched between Street Dancer 3 and Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior. The film got a release of around 1500 screens but that is not really important when its unlikely to can find an audience with a strong holdover and a more audience friendly newer release for competition. The film will need to at least double its collections on Saturday but even then a 4 crore nett total is what the film should be doing day one.

Street Dancer 3 Good Growth - Tanhaji Extraordinary
Sunday 26 January 2020 01.30 IST
Box Office India Trade Network
Street Dancer 3 saw good growth of 35% as it collected around 12.5-13 crore nett on its second day. The growth is good for a film in this zone as its mass film and the performance in the metro multiplexes is not that good. These types normally show limited growth growth on Saturday but here it was a low first day so some of the growth can be due to the lower collections.
The business of the film remains average due to to the start and now its about the Sunday which should show good growth which can be more than Saturday as its Republic Day which makes it bit better than a normal Sunday. The two day numbers of the film are 22-22.50 crore nett and the target will be to get towards that 40 crore nett mark which would be a pretty good weekend number with a good trend.
Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior is extraordinary on its third Saturday as it collects 9 crore nett takings it total to around 206 crore nett and above Golmaal Again which is the highest Ajay Devgn NETT grosser. The film has shown huge growth of around 75% on its third Saturday. There is Republic Day on Sunday to give the film another big boost and its going to be a huge third weekend and week for the film.
Panga has more than doubled on Saturday as it collects 4.5-5 crore nett to have a two day total of 6.5-7 crore nett. The growth gives the film a chance but collections remain low and it will be about weekday numbers of the film. A similar film Saand Ki Aankh also showed huge growth but eventually tanked at the box office and it also clashed with a bigger film and it remains to be seen which way Panga goes.
Street Dancer 3 First Saturday Business
Sunday 26 January 2020 11.30 IST
Box Office India Trade Network
Street Dancer 3 collected 12.50 crore nett on its second as it jumped around 30% and this is good growth for a film that is not collecting that well in the bigger multiplexes. The film could have easily been flat or just 10% growth as a higher ratio of business is coming from places which dont grow much on a Saturday.
Despite the growth on Saturday the overall collections of the film are on the lower side but it has the big Republic Day on Sunday to get good growth and get a decent weekend on the board and then its about the weekday business. The film has been hit by Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior across Mumbai, CP Berar and Nizam / Andhra even though these circuits are better if we compare with North they would actually have good collections if Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior was not so strong..
The two figure is 22 crore nett and the target will be to get close to that 40 crore nett mark in the weekend which would be a decent result especially considering the Friday numbers..
Friday - 9,50,00,000
Saturday - 12,50,00,000
TOTAL - 22,00,00,000 apprx
I really enjoyed this film
great dancing and story incorporated into it
Varun is actually paired opposite Nora not Shraddha but I still enjoyed Varun Shraddha scenes
I think it is one of the best of Remo's dancing movies
4/5
