Street Dancer 3D Movie Review: A Mesmerizingly non-stop dose of vibrant energy!

January 23, 2020

Star cast: Varun Dhawan, Prabhu Deva, Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi, Aparshakti Khurana, Dharmesh Yelande, Punit Pathak, Salman Yusuff Khan, Raghav Juyal.

Producer: Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Lizelle D'Souza.

Director: Remo D'Souza.

Remo D'Souza, Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Prabhu Deva, and team are back again on the silver-screen to exhibit jaw-dropping dance sequences with great storytelling. Street Dancer 3D is the third installment of the very successful ABCD franchise [ ABCD: Anybody Can Dance (2013), ABCD 2 (2015).]

Bollywood movie fans have always loved and rejoiced the dance genre-based movies. With ABCD franchise, Director-Choreographer Remo D'Souza has raised the standards to a universal level!

The Story of STREET DANCER 3D revolves around two warring groups 'Rule Breakers' and 'Street Dancers' led by Captains Inayat (Shraddha Kapoor) and Sahej (Varun Dhawan) uniting together to win a top-notch dance competition, 'GROUND ZERO', organized in London. The arch-rivals, Inayat and Sahej who are always ready to fight and shame the other group, team up together to try and win the competition. Rivalry uniting together for a cause is the plot of the story. Will Sahej and Inayat be successful in winning the competition? How the fighting-love chemistry between the team and lead pairs turn out to be? It is to-watch out for.

Talking about the direction and technicalities of the movie: Director-choreographer Remo D'Souza does a splendid job as a director making sure that film is made with universal appeal. Working and handling a team with a huge cast and sub cast is never easy but Remo does that with ease. Excellent presentation of dancing skills, beautiful choreography is the USP of the film.

STREET DANCER 3D has the most mind-blowing and jaw-dropping dance routine. The music and dance performances of the movie are par excellence. All the dances are so fun to watch. Each and every face-off battle will excite you to a new level! but Obviously the end dance wins it all, it was Super Fantastic. Like the previous flicks under the franchise, Street Dancer 3D is also released in 3D, enhancing the movie-watching experience to infinity!

The only thing STREET DANCER 3D lacks is connecting with the audience emotionally, The emotional scenes could have been better. BUT Okay, first of all, remember folks, that dancers aren't actors, Many of the characters in the movie are purely because of their dancing talent and they are extremely outstanding in terms of dance!!!! The screenplay and editing lacks in some places, however, the dance face-offs, covers up most of the flaws.

Music and the background score department does very well in the movie. Most of the songs are a remake of hit songs like Muqabla, Illegal weapon 2.0 and Lagdi Lahore Di. Tanishk Bagchi, the king of remakes has composed the songs very well giving an all-new fresh touch to the songs. Arijit Singh has sung "Dua Karo" incredibly well. And Yes! We all know how firey the Garmi song is. Aye Garmiiii!!!

Talking about Performances:

Street Dancer 3D is a danced based movie that stars the living Indian dancing legend, Prabhu Deva who does impressively outstanding work! Totally outshines in the "Muqabla" song. All eyes glued on the screen. It's like 'dare to blink' challenge. He does a good job in the acting as well, just wished he was utilized more and given some more screen time.

Varun Dhawan, We all know how good a dancer he is and dancing in a group of strict professional dancers still managing to outcast everyone is not easy at all! Varun is fabulous as Sahej. The style! The Swag! Everything Perfect!

Shraddha Kapoor, who plays stunningly beautiful and ripped nomad street dancer Inayat, is elevation and grace combined. Shraddha looks beautiful playing the Pakistani character. The Urdu dialogue delivery is brilliant.

Nora Fatehi, the gorgeous Canadian dancer is a strong new addition to the ABCD franchise. The fire she adds on-screen with her dancing performances is impeccable! She single-handedly steals the show with the Hot-Garmi song! ~ Aye Garmi!!!

The talented Aparshakti Khurana and the professional dancers like Dharmesh Yelande, Punit Pathak, Salman Yusuff Khan, Caroline Wilde, Raghav Juyal performed equally well in their respective roles.

There is a dialogue in the film, "Don't dance to impress. Dance to express!". Remo D'Souza and the team surely manage to impressively express through their jaw-dropping dance performances with high-velocity precision.

So, in the movie we got astonishing dancers, outstanding choreography and so much color and visuals which makes it a great watch, especially in 3D. And 3D works very well for this film. Just when you see the choreography, how can you not love the movie?

Street Dancer 3D is a movie made to be enjoyed on a big screen. A Mesmerizingly non-stop dose of vibrant energy, All set to take the street to new heights!

Overall its highly enjoyable because of its Incredible breathtaking dance routines.

Verdict: Definitely, An Electrifying visual treat that shouldn't be missed.

Why cant he DANCE in a performance oriented role ? LOL Movie is called Street Dancer - there is no excuse for dancing sloppy. His dancing is not working in the movie.

This proves that Remo should be making only youth oriented/dance/music heavy movies.

Faltu, ABCD1, ABCD2 and Street Dancer are proofs.

When he does anything different he falls flat on his face.

Bcoz he can't dance that well he is a pretty above average dancer, nothing great, over energetic at times, lacks effortlessness

He is only good in BW type dance, Hi-fi dance forms uske bass ki nahi hai esp with that painted abs wali bulky body of his

Not working ka pata nahi but definitely outstriped

As expected looks like another lame movie from Remo. It might become hit but won't add much for Varun/Shradhha.
