hain??? this is news to me...

urmila rejected kajol's role? nope she rejected these roles

karisma's role in DTPH, interestingly karisma was offered urmila's role in judaai so it was kind of swap

aish's role in mohabbatein

and teena's role in KKHH...

her problem was that she stuck to RGV but on the second thoughts, he gave her a BB like rangeela and made her a star. also giving her back to back work, she couldn't have ditched him anyway. just lke SID can't ditch kjo at any cost

And urmila became a star after Rangeela, after that these films of her worked back to back hindustani (indian version of telugu movie), judaai, satya, chota chetan 3D they were all back to back successes..

but her success was limited, 2000 came with the likes of kareena and her downfall started although she continued to perform strong roles, on acting front she reached her peak in 2003 winning all awards

so compared to other heroines, they have definitely enjoyed more success no doubt in that, urmila had stuck to RGV which proved both a plus and minus for her career.

Rekha's a very good actress, her superb performance in one film 'KHOON BHARI MAANG' alone is enough to make you believe that she's a powerhouse performer, but unlike AB roles are not written for older women in bollywood they all end up like dadi, nani, chachi, bhabhi etc sad state of affairs. her talent should be used.

I gave the example of Jeetendra-Amitabh-Sridevi because they are the most popular stars of a previous era and many people think they are a similar age.

Rekha and Sridevi and Jayaprada and Hema Malini worked with men who were 30+ years older than them at the beginning of their careers. And frequently.

You're talking about nowadays: there is a BIG difference between a 25yo actress romancing a 45yo today than a 15yo romancing a 35yo in the 70s.

Heard Manushi will make her debut with Akshay and Manushi was born in 1997. Wait for sometime, Khans, Akshay and Ajay will act with younger heroines really soon like Jhanvi, Sara, Disha, etc. Nowadays, there are not many actresses that were born in the late 90’s but in few years, they will definitely work with 50+ actors. Jeetendra and Sridevi’s age difference is same as SRK-DP and SRK-DP had good chemistry.

Kaun, pyar tune kya kiya, Ek Haseena thi, Pinjar- all fantastic!

I think once she found a mojo- I feel like she picked really good scripts (what was available to her). Till date- a lot of her movies have great repeat value. She may not have been a box office star but I think she has a filmography that she should be proud of.

There is nothing with them acting together, as long as they are adults.

Rani again has great script sense. Even if she was not the main protagonist she shone in each of those roles as well. Teena from KKHH, Naina from K3G or Samiya in Veer Zara you remember them even now.

Once she got over her Govinda and masala movie phase- her filmography is great! barring a few missteps here and there (Thoda pyaar thoda magic and Aiyaa😵).

I love ta ra rum pum so please do not try to club it with these movies!

Hema Malini was a star..She had a distinct style of dialogue delivery which is still mimicked.

And u mention Baghban ? Which came long after she stopped doing heroine roles..She played a role of mother in law in Jamaai Raja a decade before Baghban. She was a dream girl in her prime...A true blue superstar

And to see her range of acting watch movies like Ek chadar maili si, kinara, khusboo, Seeta aur Geeta, Sholay
