If it was MID , why did you equate it to "forum gyan" ? .. Given that this thread is meant for thrashing Hinduism , i thought your post was concerning the same .. My bad ..

And it was prevalent everywhere in pockets. But was majorly in Bengal/Bihar/ Orissa.

Payal doesn't know difference between Jauhar and Sati, like this person doesn't know that Shiva's wife Sati, didn't commit Sati... Both posted with conviction, and both are wrong.

Now I am thinking, should I give Payal a leeway because people from both sides don't think it's important to know facts before talking about something?

Sati is not a part of Hinduism and even if it was our ancestors were good enough to stop it

About atheism, it's not evil at all. As another chomu ji has said, Hinduism is inclusive, it allows one to be an atheist. Like you, i am myself part atheist as I dont believe in Islam or christianity. But I wouldn't hate on those religion and look down on those who are following them. Hinduism also allows you to believe in whatever or whoever you want to believe so even those who call themselves Christians or muslims are also following Hinduism in a way. Basicslly, everyone with Indian roots follows hi duism one way or the other. So I dont understand why some of you want to keep distance or feel the need to denounce hinduism and call it all sorts of names.
