My issue wasn't that they spoke in English, but the way they spoke. The conversations seemed forced/unnatural. Idk the right word here.

The thing with this show is that the side plots of the two leads have potential but the actual wedding bits are just really intolerable. Were they trying to be funny at times, cuz I couldn't figure it out. The problems were dull, the solutions were dull. Had to fast forward through it.

The acting was also kinda sucky. I liked Vikrant Massey and Vinay Pathak in their short roles. The actual lead ensemble sucked. What the hell was Kalki doing

The private lives of the two leads had promise but they just ruined it in favor of really cliche writing. All of Karan's lovers were some tropes from old cinema. Even the cop amd the carcar scene was like a Rahul Bose filming.

I now firmly believe that Zoya Akthar is a mediocre writer.

Says who? it sounded completely normal to me. Almost everyone I know talks like that.. they even got the different accents of characters from different backgrounds spot on IMO.

On episode 6 and I have really enjoyed the show so far.. well plotted and well made.
Though some of the mega twists so far - you could see from a mile (Vinay pathak being closeted, Jim Sharabh cheating with Faiza)...I still enjoyed it however.

I agree with Rahul when he called it the best Indian web series so far. None I watched come close.

Of course, since it's backed by Excel, they were able to get big names for the individual episodes and also the production values look high. It must have cost a bomb to make the show.

Does anyone have an idea of the budget? And how much did Amazon buy it for? What's the profit Excel made?

I really enjoyed it and thought the leads were fantastic...⭐️
After karan gets locked up and then comes out in front of his family, he was fabulous in that scene..

and the other lead Tara is so stunning and she did a great job..I loved her styling too in the show..

loved the friendship between Karan & Tara!

Didn't like Adil, they could have chosen someone better..also Kalki's character didn't make much sense..😳

The web series was pretty nice, not the best though, because some of the things were too cliched.

I liked Karan's character a lot. The sleeping around explained when in the final episode he confessed to Nawaab. Because his character never really looked like the sleeping around types. I did not like Nawaab's slip though. He said he was happy and married. Does this not fall under extra-marital affair or One Night Stand ? What was that ?

Out of all in Adil-Faiza-Tara's triangle, I would put Faiza's one in the top. Her vulnerability after coming out of an abusive marriage was heart-warming. She truly believed Adil was going to marry her 😆. I am really impressed with Adil, except for his 'not-able-to-keep-things-in-his-pants', he was really near perfect. He was caring, attentive to both the ladies, sensitive, heck he even went to do his sperm check minus much drama and was adhering to the process, how much ever reluctantly, but he did. The worst has to be Tara's. The kind of manipulative cunning b**** she was portrayed as who could go to THAT length to get married to a rich-ass man, I would say she deserved it from Adil-Faiza.

I liked Jazz's character too. The most relatable, happy go lucky and nice character.

My most favorite character gotta be Karan's dad. 👍🏼 I wish everyone gets a dad like him.

Out of all the weddings, I liked the first one the most, may be cuz the guy was soo good and ideal. 😆 I also liked the last one and the royalty one. Just creating a rumor or question ? is the most damaging thing in their setup. The solutions were good on how to tackle the scumbags.

😎 Very nice web series.

Nawab definitely cheated, and I was all :O but also, I could not blame him too much. In my head he confesses to his partner. I hope he can find his way back to Karan because Karan needs some happiness, dammit!!
Zoya, just give me this.
