Coming back to discussion, as per her filmography, she has also acted in the more recent Golmaal Again [which was a hit], Fitoor and Talvar. Her acting undoubtedly is exemplary, but in my opinion, she is not mainstream -- hence, a has-been in the heroine sense of the term; and in the sense that I had meant it ["both -- Jackie & Tabu -- as has-beens", ie. as yesteryear lead actors].

She has worked with JS over the years ever since the alleged incident - in Do Hazaar Ek, Border, Kohram, Jaal, where even if they didn't have scenes together, they could not have avoided each other on sets. They even had a 2016 reunion of some of 90s stars, where the two are seen in photos, along with others and JS's wife.

So, unless she is cut by a different cloth and was, as a teenager, able to forgive and forget the incident and continue working with her abuser, I don't see any truth in the rumour. Until Tabu clarifies it, I would view their 'seemingly sudden friendship' as two erstwhile colleagues who lost touch, met again probably during the making of Salman's Bharat, and revived a friendship, which is why I drew a parallel [albeit at a tangent] with Deepika and Katrina [who were not friendly for other reasons, but appear to have buried the hatchet and now following one another on social media].
