Earlier today, actress
Tanushree Dutta reached out
to Maharashtra Women
Commission to seek justice in
her battle against Nana
Patekar, who apparently
harassed on the sets of Horn
Ok Pleasss (2008). The
actress demanded that the
government body takes
action against the actor,
Ganesh Acharya, Rakesh
Sarang and Sadame Siddiqui.
Tanushree's lawyer told ANI,
"The complaint has been
lodged with the Maharashtra
State Commission for
Women. Tomorrow we are
going to move the complaint
to the District Officer as per
the Sexual Harassment Act
Section 9. Tanushree Dutta's
statement has not yet been
recorded so tomorrow she
will come for the same along
with the witnesses. After
recording the statement, we
will take the next step."
And as per CNN News 18, the
latest development is that the
government body is likely to
send notice to Nana Patekar
by today evening in context
with Tanushree's sexual
misconduct allegations on
him. Meanwhile, Nana had
denied all the claims.
Yesterday in a small press
conference held, he refused
to say comment on the
matter saying, "I have been
advised by my lawyer not to
talk to the media. So kindly
don't ask me anything." He
remained adamant to the
statement he gave ten years
back after the incident
happened. He said, "I already
gave my statement 10 years
ago. Whatever the truth was
10 years ago, the same truth
will remain 10 years later."
The Tanushree Dutta- Nana
Patekar row is getting
murkier by the day. A word
from the senior actor is
awaited to clear all the
misunderstanding that has
taken place.
