Shashi Kapoor : Most underrated actor

We all know that he's the most handsome man ever of Indian cinema and remarkable & kind and lovely human being his contribution through Prithvi theatre. the only mainstream actor to stake his own money in Art films. We're all aware of these. He even refused to take his National Award for his debut film because he felt his performance wasn't worthy of NA. He was the first Indian actor to get recognition in Hollywood with Pretty Polly & first to work in Hollywoodod in leading roles. Mostly even today people tend to overlook his talent as an actor because of his looks. I've watched Shashi ji's 100+ films (Including his English films, Trust me he's got a flawless voice diction & fluency in English) He's a phenomenal & a class apart actor. It is irony of fate that despite his enormous talent he was always under utilized and underrated as an actor & not just that he was never even nominated in the best actor category at Filmfare 😡 I've always felt that his contribution has been ignored, he never got his due 😭

Totally agree..one of the most charming hero ever to grace the screen.A one woman man plus a thorough Gentleman.I so want to watch some of his movies like junoon,kalyug,New Delhi times,the householder,vijeta.he always came across as a sincere actor..love him 👍🏼

He was Yash chopra's favorite boy and started his career with him..

Yes, he is one actor who is underrated and never got his due.

They now don't make men like him :( It's really very rare to find such generous, unselfish, grounded person like him in The Bollywood fraternity 👏 You know what I started watching & got interest in classic/old era's films due SHASHI KAPOOR only 😳 After watching Satyam Shivam Sundaram (The first ever film I watched of that era) & his pairing with Zeenat Aman is my most favorite & hottest on-screen pair of 70's 💔

Parveen Babi is my favorite so I liked his pair with her-suhaag,namak halaal,kala pathhar..

Have you seen jab jab phool khile.Raja Hindustani is a copy of that movie..

Yes, I've seen Jab Jab Phool Khile. His pairing with Nanda was very popular in his early days. Nanda is Shashi ji's favorite co-star I've also followed his personal life very closely 😆 People needs to appreciate him while he's alive rather than wasting time in going bonkers over today's generation's attention seeking actors 🥱 His contribution for Prithvi Theatre is unmatchable 😊

@filmyfanatic I have followed his personal life too.remember seeing one interview where he said no heroine agreed to work with him when he was a newcomer except nandaji..so much for being a kapoor boy..he kept the prithvi theater running and because of his health issues his daughter Sanjana took over.kudos to the lesser known kapoor girl 👍🏼

He was one of the most good-looking men in Bollywood none of the new batch can compete with him in looks or personality watch him in deewar it's a go for goldperformance n of course the evergreen kabhii kabhi
