It might be a good role for Shahid, He can bring in his personal tryst ... struggling layers into it.

Don't care much for this rumor but mark my words, Shahid will have a late but meteoric rise to the top like Aamir's. People are on Varun's & Sids nuts all the time, especially on here, but the two Kapoor lads, Ranbir & Shahid will be the face of Bollywood in the near future.

They should. But they are being handled by Karan lately. 😆

I was talking about character's superstardom, not Sasha's current status.

It depends on who has the ability to survive ups and downs. Shahid and Ranbir proved it. Ranbir, with few flops is still considered the biggest thing after Khans. Shahid, who has a longer period of ups and downs, proved it with RR/Haider and is still bagging good projects in lead roles.

It depends on if Varun and Sid has that kind of ability and hunger. Personally, I think Varun does. Sid is only a moment's craze ... I see him disappearing after giving series of flops. But one never knows.

In the end, talent sustains unless you are one of the Khans.

BC, are only Panjabis allowed in Bollywood? Will we ever see a non punjabi/non Khan hero? 😆

Ranveer is Sindhi. Sushant is not Punjabi.
Ritiesh is Marathi. But I agree majority r punjabis or khans

Really? I've only heard he isn't giving dates to Farzi. Both Kangana and Shahid seem committed to Rangoon. It's Saif who's rumoured to be having second thoughts.

I think Shahid is making the right choices for himself. There's no point looking at what others are doing and then making the wrong film choices in the process, which is what he has done up until now. He's being taken seriously as an actor post Haider. Might as well stay on that path.

It's like Saif. Post Omkara he was appreciated as an actor, but then he wanted box office glory. And now look where he is.

No Farzi he backed out completely. There was a blind about Rangoon and SajidN being upset that Shahid wasnt alloting dates to Rangoon.
I feel these critically acclaimed films are fine if balanced with more commercial films. Just do critically acclaimed films...you end up like Abhay Deol. The same directors who are running after him today will run after more successful stars tomorrow.

He was totally out of the picture after PPNH, he started from the scratch after RR. He is building it slowly. Most of his recent commercial films have been abysmal, not any star could have saved such atrocious films so needs to rectify it.

Abbay Deol never had a fanbase but SK has got a strong one.

That's the thing, his commercial choices have always been awful. Personally I didn't like RR and generally don't like Prabhudeva films. Too vulgar.

He needs to make wise decisions when it comes to commercial films. Otherwise a couple of flops and he'll fall right behind again and they'll be no question of competing with the likes of Varun and Sid.

But there's definitely more to Shahid compared to Abhay Deol. That's why he always bounces back despite so many failures.

Shaandaar is a good commercial film. Hoping ... will have our answer on 11th. To be honest, it's a good choice after Haider.
