Even I have six-pack abs but don't like to show it

Says Emraan Hashmi who speaks about his growth as an actor, his failures and why he prefers emotions over action

Emraan Hashmi is one of the intense actors we have in the industry. The actor was tagged as a serial kisser and he never shied away from it. His last few films Raja Natwarlal and Ungli and forthcoming film Hamari Adhuri Kahani shows his efforts to give more mature films to his fans.Speaking about the same he said, "It's just that sometimes you don't want to do the same things again and try something more. Sometimes with experience you grow up and you don't want do frivolous stuff. You want do something real. Sometimes love changes outlook of life. Sometimes tragedy changes outlook of life. I think I have been through all these and remembered for that in past few years, now I just want to move on and explore more emotional films."

Emraan accepts that his last few films didn't turned out to be the way it was expected and analyses his work. When it comes to failure, he shows a realistic approach. "It affects when film don't work but you have to move on. You have your failures but you have to move on. It does affect you. It's just about how you work. I think content didn't work in last few films," Emraan says.

The actor who has done various genre, consciously stayed away from action films. When asked why he never did out n out action film he said, "Because it rarely have emotions in it. If I would do an action film it has to have some emotional. I can't beat ten people and cars explodes in the background it doesn't give me that thrill. Even I have six-pack abs but don't like to show it off. I find it very synthetic and very superficial, I can't do that. There are actors who are doing it and enjoying it. I don't like to see myself doing that. For me there has to be a depth to a film that helps me grow as an actor."
