well, my point was the Hindus can't marry cousins. bhag ke kareh to kya karna... but arranged marriage is unimaginable.

but, after reading Smartie & Kal's posts i've learnt it is possible for the Southerners if the cousin is the son/daughter of one's Khala or Phuppi 😆

Marriage amongst first cousins is very common in all parts of Southern India, especially in Kerala, where it is given that the children of a brother and sister will get married! (Mostly for financial reasons, so that the property remains in the family!)

Wasnt there an affair btw Sonali bendre and Ajay at one point?

Something I found:

The Akshay/Priyanka story is that potentially something went on, and some malicious assisstant (male) of Priyanka's leaked her phone records to the press (which apparently showed lots of phone calls to Akki). Anyway, word is that Twinkle called Akki back into the fold, and he an Priyanka don't do movies together anymore ever since the rumours about their supposed affair went on. What really happened is questionable but Priyanka did confirm on KWK that she had a fallout with her assisstant and that he betrayed her trust or something.

@Smartie: I havent read the book but SRK used to get into lot of trouble with journos when he started out. I think same case with Saif, Salman, Sanjay Dutt too. But things used to be rarely highlighted as media wasnt so intrusive those days. Maybe your local newspaper would publish an article in page 8 or 9. There were no 24 hr news channels.

But things changed for SRK when he started giving out witty interview and had the media eating out of his hands.
