Of all the things I think Vanraj is just fine. Doing what he is supposed to do. Even if he plays victim so what? Even if he twists and turn the circumstances in his favor, so what?

In this whole Dimpy - T2 thing, the reason he started investigating T2 and tried to keep DimTu away was because of his own reasons to not let go of the hold over Dimpy and rights over Ansh. By the end he becomes a good father who wants to save Dimpy from getting married into a criminal family. But that's the sign of a manipulative person. He is a very very good antagonist IMO. He turns every situation in his favor.

Writing a negative character who is physically abusive is easy. But someone who is can play mind games is hard to catch.

We must ask what the so-called positive characters did to counter him, except tu tu main main, of course. Vanraj is earnestly doing his duty.

This show also treats adopted daughters like Aadhya and Ishani as a piece of crap. Pakhi was jealous of Dimpy simply because she could not become a mother and Anupama was always with her (Anupama was justified in being with Dimpy as she was carrying the child of Anupama's deceased son). Pakhi and Adhik had adopted Ishani, but look at what Pakhi did to Ishani, she was more interested in attending parties and also did not have quality time for Ishani. Poor Adhik suffered due to his foolish decision to marry Pakhi. It is only right that Adhik should get Ishani's custody asap.

Anuj and Anupama had also failed as Aadhya's parents. Aadhya was better off staying in the orphanage. Anuj had committed the 2 biggest mistakes of his life. 1st mistake was marrying Anupama, 2nd mistake was adopting Aadhya from an orphanage in Mumbai. In taking both the decisions, Anuj acted hastily. Anuj could not become a good father to Aadhya.
