CHAPTER - 7

Natasha was very upset with Akash's last night's behaviour especially because he was way too much busy with Dimple all the time in the party and didn't even bother to look at her which he never did earlier and so she decided to talk with him.In the airport,Natasha came to meet Akash and he was quite surprised to see her and he asked,"Natasha I think aaj tumhaara koi flight nehi hai right?"She replied,"Flights adjust karna mujhe aata hai Captain Akash Saluja aur agar flights na bhi ho tab bhi airport mein aane se mujhe koi nehi rok sakta hai.Vaise bhi Iam quite surprised ke tumhe ye pata hai ke aaj mera koi flight nehi tha.Mujhe to laga hai ke aajkal tumhaare life mein mere liye koi jagah hi nehi hai."Akash was taken back on her attitude of talking with him which she too never did and so he asked,"What the hell??Kya bakwaas kiye ja rahi ho?"Natasha folded her arms and acted to be surprised and said,"Oh to tumhe yaad nehi aa raha hai?Kal tumne pee hui to nehi thi ke tum bhul jaao.Kal puri party mein tumne to mere taraf dekha bhi nehi hai Akash.Sirf mujhe party ke liye pick up kiya aur phir mujhe ghar par drop kiya thats it.Tum pehle aise kabhi nehi the,but now you have changed a lot."Akash was still confused and asked,"Tum kehna kya chahti ho zara saaf saaf kaho?"Natasha replied,"Kal raat puri party mein tum sirf us Ananya ki beti Dimple ko apne saath lekar ghum rahe the.Jab dekho usko goadi mein lekar uske saath bas lage pare the.Kya lagti hai vo tumhaari?Tumhaari khudki to beti hai nehi jo tum uspar itna pyar luta rahe the.C'mon Akash vo kisi aur ki beti hai so please ye sab itna zarurat se zyaada pyar dikhaana bandh karo.Ok main maanti hu ke vo bachchi hai...""To phir kyu?"Akash cut her words in the middle and said,"Jab tum maanti ho ke vo ek choti si bachchi hai,to phir kyu is baat ko lekar pari ho?Kis baat ki taklif hai tumhe?For god's sake vo 4 saal ki bachchi hai,choti si pyaari si aur bachche to hote hi aise hai,unpar to kisiko bhi pyar aa jaata hai."Natasha made a fist and said,"Oho Akash tum samajhte kyu nehi ho,tum ek handsome,achcha kamaane waale bachelor ho aur tumhaari social status bhi bohot achchi hai.Kya pata ye Ananya apni bachchi ko aagey rakh kar..."Akash stopped her again by raising his hand in front of her face and then said,"Oh please Natasha kya bakwaas kiye ja rahi ho?Ananya aur ye sab...are you mad?Vo mujhse zarurat se zyaada baat tak nehi karti hai.Itni koi achchi dosti bhi nehi hai hum logo ki aur flight ke baad hum hang out tak nehi karte hai aur vo seedha apne ghar chali jaati hai flight ke land karte hi."Natasha tried to explain him and said,"Shaayad yehi uski policy hai ke vo tumhaare saane aisa attitude dikhaaye that you don't mean anything to her but from inside,vo tumhe fasaana chahti hai aur ye baat sach kahi hai tumne ke bachcho par sabko pyar aata hai aur shaayad isi baat ka vo faayda utha rahi hai.Main uspar ilzaam nehi laga rahi hu par ye to sach hai na ke hum mein se koi usko zyaada jaanta nehi hai aur kisiki shakal par ye nehi likha hota hai ke vo kaisa hai."Akash made a disgusted face and said,"Natasha!!Iam so stunned aisi baate tumhaare dimaag mein aati kaha se hai?Ek simple si bachchi ko lekar itna bara issue bana rahi ho aur vo nbhi khaamakha mein."Natasha was about to say something more but Akash stopped her and said,"Natasha please agar tumhaari baat khatam ho gayi ho to hum chale flight par?Vaise bhi bohot late ho gaya hai."Saying he started walking off leaving Natasha behind.

In her home,Dimple was talking with Paromita.She said,"Pata hai dida jab mujhe kal bhukh lagi thi na aur main daud daud kar mamma ke paas ja rahi thi tab main geer gayi aur mujhe itna bara waala chot laga aur phir mamma mujhe vo jalne waala antiseptic liquid laga rahi thi par Akash uncle aaye aur na unhone mujhse baate ki par phir kya hua pata nehi maine dekha to mamma ne mere per par bandage laga diya aur mujhe pata bhi nehi chala,jala bhi nehi.Dida mujhe na lagta hai ke Akash uncle ko na magic aata hai."Paromita was very happy and said,"Mujhe pata hai ke vo Akash na sachchi mein bohot achcha hai par tera ma hai na mujhe usse thik tarah se baat bhi nehi karne deta hai.Kitna kharoos ma hai tera par tu na bilkul apni dida par gaya hai."Dimple pressed her mouth and laughed and said,"Pata hai dida Akash uncle bhi kehte hai ke main ice cream se bhi zyaada sweet hu aur mamma kharoos hai."Paromita made a face and replied,"Dekha ab to bahaarwaalo ko bhi pata chala gaya hai ke tera ma kitna kharoos hai.Maine to teri ma ko kabhi karela khilaaya hi nehi par pata nehi vo aisa kaise ho gaya."Dimple said,"Pata hai dida jab us waale ghar mein mujhe chot lagti thi tab papa to mere taraf dekhte bhi nehi the lekin kal na Akash uncle yu daud kar mere paas aaye aur mujhe yu goadi mein utha liya.Akash uncle na mere papa se bhi itne itne itne zyaada achche hai."Paromita patted Dimples' cheek and said,"Mujhe pata hai Dimpu,vo bohot achcha hai aur Rohit to uska aas paas bhi nehi jaata."Dimple sadly said,"Dida sabke papa kitne achche hote hai,unhe goadi mein kelar ghumaate hai,unse itna pyar karte hai.Par mere papa aise kyu hai?Vo dusro ke achche waale papa ke tarah kyu nehi hai?Pata hai sabke papa na unke birthday par itni bari waali party dete hai aur mere birthday par mamma ek chotu sa cake laati hai aur main vo cake kaat leti hu bas aur kuch nehi hota."Dimple folded her lips and looked at Paromita and she felt so pity for her and so she made her sit on her lap and said,"Ole baba rote nehi hai,tu royega to kaise chalega bol?Dekh vo upar jo bhagwaan hai na von a kisiko bhi sab kuch nehi deta hai.Jaise tujhe achcha papa nehi diya par tujhe achcha ma diya,achcha dida diya."Dimple again made a sad face and asked,"Par dida bhagwaanji ne mujhe achcha papa kyu nehi diya?Sabke paas to achche papa hai na?"Paromita pulled her cheek and then replied,"Shaayad bhagwaan tujhe usse bhi achcha waala papa dega.Pata hai mera dil kehta hai ke ekdin tujhe tera vo papa se na dher guna zyaada achcha papa milega jo tujhse itna saara pyar karega."Dimple asked,"Mamma se bhi zyaada?"Paromita replied,"Ha bilkul tera ma se bhi zyada."Dimple made a confused face and asked,"Par dida main pehchaanungi kaise us papa ko?"Paromita thought and replied,"Jo tujhe tera ma jitna pyar karega,jo tujhe yaha waha ghumaane lekar jaayega,tera har wish pura karega phir tujhe tera ma ke gusse se bachaayega,tera ma se chupakar tere liye lollipop laayega aur phir tere liye itna bara waala birthday party bhi dega.Sab karega tab samajh jaana ke vohi tera achcha waala papa hai."Dimple asked,"Agar gande papa ne mujhe daata to achche papa unhe punish karenge na?"Paromita replied,"Punish???Pitaai karega pitaai dekh lena!!"On hearing this,Dimple was very happy and prayed to God so that God would send her a father like that.

One day,Paromita called Akash over dinner and she cooked herself for him and Ananya too made a sweet dish for him.When Akash arrived,Paromita said to Akash,"Pata hai Akash beta aaj na maine tumhaara liye shorshe elish (hilsha fish with mustard merination) banaya hai,hamaara bangali community mein bara famous hai.Vo Dimpu bhi khaayega na to maine jhaanjh thora kam daala hai varna vo kha hi paayega."Akash smiled and replied,"Pata hai aunty mujhe ghar ka khaana khaaye arsa ho gaya hai aur aap to meri ma jaisi hai so aap jo kuch bhi khilaayengi main khushi se kha lunga."He then looked over the house and asked,"Dimpleji dikhaayi nehi de rahi hai?Kaha hai vo?"Ananya replied,"Vo bagal waale ghar mein khelne gayi hai.Main bulaati hu usko."Ananya called her neighbour and asked her to send Dimple home as someone came to meet her.When Dimple arrived,she was so happy and excited that she yelled Akash's name and jumped over him and Ananya was quite surprised seeing her behaving like that since she never was so much happy seeing someone.Dimple asked,"Akash uncle aap kab aaye?Aapko pata hai main kabse aapka wait kar rahi thi?"Akash smiled and replied,"Mujhe pata tha isiliye to main jaldi jaldi aa gaya."Dimple made wide eyes and said,"Pata hai Akash uncle aaj na dida ne shorshe elish banaya aur rasgulla aur shondesh bhi banaya hai aapke liye."Akash, too widened his eyes and asked,"Achcha??Pehle ye to batao mamma ne mere liye kya banaya?"Saying he looked at embarrassed Ananya and then Dimple thought and then said,"Mamma ne...ha mamma ne custard banaya aur bengan ka bharta.Mamma ko achchi waali fish banaani nehi aati hai na dida ke tarah."Akash looked at Ananya and said,"Achcha??Mamma ko fish banaani nehi aati,maine to socha tha ke mamma ne mujhe invite kiya hai to mamma ne zarur kuch na kuch banaya hoga special mere liye.Par koi baat nehi dida ne banaya hai na."Ananya replied,"Vo mujhe simple fish curry banaani aati hai,itni complicated preparations mujhe nehi aate."Akash said,"Vaise na pata hai Dimple aaj main aapke dida ke liye,mamma ke liye aur aapke liye ek cheez laaya hu."Akash opened a packet which he brought for them and seeing this Ananya asked,"Captain ye sab kya hai?"Akash stopped her and replied,"Pehli baat to main off uniform aapka captain nehi hu aur dusri baat off uniform aap mujhe mere naam se bulaayengi and my name is Akash jaise Dimple ko dekhiye mujhe Akash uncle bulaati hai,just call me Akash.Kyu auntyji sahi keh raha hu na?"Paromita gave a huge smile and said,"Ha ha zarur main bhi to Onu ko yehi kehti hu ke apne colleagues se friendship bana par ye bilkul apne papa par gayi hai thori akeli rehna pasand karti hai,zyaada ghulti milti nehi hai kisi se."Akash then gave them the packets and said,"Meri mom kehti hai ke jab bhi kisike ghar mein pehli baar jaao to kabhi khaali haath nehi jaana isiliye main ye sab laaya hu.Actually bengali sarees ka mujhe zyaada idea nehi hai so auntyji ki ye saree jo hai na vo maine apne ek dosti ki biwi se kharidwaya hai,unko ye sab zyaada pata hai.Ananya ke liye ye bracelet hai I hope aapko pasand aayega."Ananya checked the bracelet and said,"Akash ye bohot expensive hai ye aapne..."Akash replied,"Koi baat nehi rakhlo na please!!"Ananya still hesitated and said,"Par..."Akash replied,"Ek kaam karna mujhe koi achcha waala return gift de dena.Khush??You know agar Natasha ko diya hota na to vo paagal ho jaati."Ananya smiled and accepted the gift.Dimple was looking at everyones gift and so when Ananya and Paromita got her gift,she put her hands on her waist and asked,"Aur mere liye kya laaye?"Akash pulled her cheeks and replied,"Aapke liye to sabse zyaada laaya hu.Sabse achcha aur sabse beautiful."He gave her one dress,one big doll and a lollypop.On seeing the lollypop,she was more happy than seeing other things and then she said,"Mamma dekho lolly!!Akash uncle thank you aur mamma ye dress rakh do mere birthday par main pehnungi."Paromita asked,"Achcha Akash beta tumne abhitak shaadi kyu nehi kiya?"Ananya looked with a jerk at Akash's face and glared at her mother and asked,"Ma eta ki dhoroner proshno holo (Ma ye kis kisam ka sawaal hua)?O ki bhabbe (Vo kya sochenge)?"Paromita stopped her and replied,"Uff!!Kichchu bhabbe na (Kuch nehi sochega).Tui chup kor to (Tu zara chup kar)."Akash was tossing his eyes from Paromita to Ananya and vice versa and said,"Wow aap dono kitne achche bangali bolte ho ha vo baat alag hai mujhe kuch bhi samajhme nehi aaya."Paromita laughed and said,"Arey Akash tum iska baat choro ye to paagol hai,tum bolo na tumne abhitak shaadi kyu nehi kiya?Tum to kitna handsome hai,bilkul hamaare bangali larko ke tarah."Akash blushed and said,"Achchi larki milti kaha hai aajkal auntyji bataaiye.Achchi larki miley to shaadi karu na,meri ma to peeche pari hui hai isiliye bhaag kar yaha aa gaya."Paromita replied,"Ye tumne bohut sahi baat kiya beta aajkal achcha larka bhi nehi milta hai varna mera Onu ka umar hi kya hai,uska main dubaara shaadi kara deta,Dimpu ko bhi baap mil jaata varna tum socho mere baad koi to hona chahiye na inka dhyaan rakhne ke liye par ye to shaadi hi nehi karna chahta.Tum mujhe bataana Akash tumko kaisa larki chahiye main dhundh kar dungi tumko."Ananya,in an irritating tone said,"Ma maine kitni baar mana kiya hai mujhe ye topic pasand nehi hai aur aap mehmaano ke saamne..."Akash said,"Koi baat nehi aisa hota hai."Paromita looked at the time and said,"Chalo abhi dinner khatam karlo varna khaana thanda ho jaayega,baate to baad mein hoti rahengi."Akash agreed and they went to the dining table to have their dinner.

During the dinner,on tasting the hilsha preparation,Akash had tears in his eyes and then he drank a full glass of water.Paromita laughed and said,"Ye to kuch bhi nehi hai beta,itna to hamaara Dimpu bhi kha leta hai.Hamaara Kolkata mein jab banata hai na tab insaan pura rone lagta hai."Ananya put some rice on Akash's plate and said,"Akash aap thora zyaada chawaal milakar khaaiye jhaanjh nehi lagega."Akash did exactly the same and was relieved.Paromita served him the sweets and she was very happy feeding Akash at her home.After the dinner,Ananya gave him a bowl of custard and he tasted that and said to Dimple,"Ab pata chala Dimple itni sweet kyu hai?Mamma custard khilaati hai na.Vaise..."He said to Ananya,"Mujhe ye nehi pata tha ke koi itna sweet custard bana sakta hai.Mujhe to laga tha ke shaayad inhe sweet dish pasand hi nehi hai."Ananya gave Akash a sheepish look and then they all had a talk and later on Dimple showed Akash all her toys and also told him their names.Akash asked,"Achcha maine jo aapko doll diya uska kya naam rakkhoge aap?"Dimple looked at the doll and thought for sometime and said,"Ye dolly ka ek achcha waala naam sochna parega na to uske liye time lagega.Main achche se soch kar aapko bataaungi."Akash agreed and spend sometime with Dimple.After sometime,Akash got up to leave and Paromita said,"Akash beta tumhaara jab man kare na tum hamaara ghar mein aa jaana aur tum bilkul akela feel mat karna,hum bhi tumhaara family jaisa hi hai."Akash gave a big smile and then replied,"Thank you so much aunty!!Thats really so sweet of you!!"He took leave and Ananya walked upto the main gate to leave Akash upto his car.When they reached his car,Akash said,"Don't mind Ananya par tumhaari ma bilkul thik keh rahi hai,you should think about your life again.Tumhaari saamne tumhaari puri zindagi pari hui hai.Dimple ko dekho,she needs a father aur ek bachche ko paalne ke liye ma aur baap dono ka hona bohot zaruri hai.Tumhaari zindagi mein jo hua yes it was a misfortune par usme mein is bichaari maasoom bachchi ki kya galti hai?"Ananya took a deep breath and replied,"Akash Dimple ke sagey,uske apne papa ne usey kabhi nehi apnaaya aur koi dusra aakar meri bachchi ko accept karega.Ye main kaise maanlu?Even mujhe aisa koi bharosa bhi nehi hai."Akash shook his shoulder and replied,"I don't know what happened between you and your husband par duniya ka har mard ek jaisa to nehi hota hai na.You should give life a second chance."Ananya sadly smiled and replied,"Ek chance diya tha but that didn't work out aur kuch rishto ki umar hi choti hoti hai aur har kisike kismat mein vohi khusiya dubaara nehi aati aur naahi unhe ek aur chance diya ja sakta hai.Dimple ke liye mera pyar kaafi hai usey kisi aur ke pyar ki koi zarurat nehi hai."Akash understood that she was so much hurt that it was next to possible to make her understand the importance of a father in Dimples' life and so he left that topic,bid goodbye and left from there.
