Sorry for the delay...here is the next part...
GUYS I am getting so disheartned about the number of likes I am getting 😭😭😭 I am trying to update daily and I make sure I keep with my promise. I wrote this part only because I had promised you guys I will update today. Other then that I wasn't going to update today. What is the point?
After this weekend, I should get good amount of likes...my pm list is growing and my number of likes is decreasing..I NEVER get 300+ likes why?😭😭😭
Chapter 30
Two days has been passed since Maan has returned from his trip. He spent most of the time with Ayush catching up with the month that he missed. He played with Ayush with all the toys he got for him. Ayush couldn't be happier. Geet usually sat far away watching them interact. Whenever Maan would look her way, she would immediately turn the other way or leave the room.
Maan has been looking for a way to come close to her but all his attempt failed. Like for example, just yesterday he gave Geet a sari that he got for her from the trip. It was a white sari with purple sequenced borders all around it. He looked at her expression as he handed her the sari. At first she was shocked and then hesitant. She just stared at the sari thinking if she should take it or not.
After few minutes of thinking, she finally extended her hand for the sari. Their fingers slightly brushed against each other as he handed her the sari but what shocked him the most was that she didn't move her hand away like she normally would. Both just stood there looking at each other slightly holding hands under the sari. He liked the feeling of her skin under him. He wanted to kiss her pain away, hug her so tightly to remove their painful past...make her forget everything but alas that was not possible. Both were brought out of their thoughts when Ayush and Annie came running in with their toys. Geet had quickly left the room with the sari.
Geet sat in her room looking at the sari. She slowly running her hand over it thinking back to the moment when she last wore white sari. It was during their first dance from the office when everything had changed after that. She opens the sari holding it in front of her in the mirror...Maan knew her taste after all these years but she doesn't know how to react. As she was looking in the mirror, she saw Maan standing behind her. Both look at one another...Maan slowly brings his hands up and holds her by the shoulder. Geet just looks at him not showing any reaction.
Maan: White suits you. You will look really beautiful in this sari. (Geet just looks at him...Maan slowly brings his hands down her arms to her waist. Geet closes her eyes feeling his touch after a long time...Maan presses himself closer to her...there was no room now...Geet could feel his shirt against her back sending shivers down her body...) Geet would you wear this sari? (She looks at him...she tried to move away from him but couldn't..he held her tighter and tighter) How long are you going to run away from me Geet? How long? (he turns her around) For how long are you going to deny the love you have for me? (he caresses her cheek) Do you like it when I touch you like this? (Geet touches his hand and tries to move away but Maan corners her against the wall...he puts both his hands on either side of the wall..) No more Geet (she looks at him shocked) No more running away. (he kisses her on cheek before leaving with a smirk..)
Maan found out two things: One: She still has feelings for him and two: his touch still affects her like it used to. Now the only problem was how to awaken those feelings and have her confess. He knew she won't do anything so that will leave it to him. He will make her forget and accept him again no matter what. Maan comes out of his thoughts when he heard his phone ringing. He looked at the caller ID and frowned. The Office. There was no way he wanted to go today.
Maan: Hello..haan Arahna..ohh yeah the meeting. Okay I will be there in half hour. Where is the meeting? (Maan smirked) hmm yeah I will be there. Arahna why don't you meet me there as well. Yeah, I want you to attend the meeting and bring all the necessary files. bye. (He hangs up the phone looking back at the room one last time before leaving to get ready.)
Geet touched her face where he kissed her. Why does it affect me so much? Why can't I hate him? What does he want from me? She drops the sari on the chair lost in her thoughts when the phone rang. She looks at the phone. A call from Vicky.
Geet: Hello Vicky..hmmm meeting today? okay I will be there soon. Bye..
Geet quickly got up to get ready. She looked in the closet for something to change into but she couldn't find anything interesting to wear for the meeting. Clients will be there. She looks at the sari on the table. Maan waited for Geet to come out of the room. He knew that she also had to attend the meeting...so he decided to wait for her.
NT already had Ayush to stay with her until the meeting would be over and many after the meeting there will be dinner. He looked at the door as he heard it being opened. Geet stepped out wearing the sari that he gifted her. She was looking beautiful in the sari. She had half sleeved blouse with a strap holding the blouse together. Maan got up and went toward her. Geet kept her head down..she was feeling shy to look at him straight on the face.
Maan: You look beautiful just as I had pictured it. (he holds her hand and tugs her making her look at him..) Shall we go? (Geet looks at him confused) Am your client...I need to be there as well. So shall we go?
Geet nodes her head and walks ahead of him making Maan smile. Both get into the car and drive off to the company. Through out the whole ride...Geet sat in one corner of the car trying to maintain as much distance as she can between them while Maan looks at her from time to time with a smile.
Both got out of the car and heads toward the company. Inside, they were greeted by the receptionists that told them the way to the conference room. Geet saw Vicky waiting for them. Geet goes up to him to go over any details before the meeting began. She looked over at Maan who was talking on the phone yelling at someone.
Vicky: Okay lets begin. Maan are you ready?
Maan: hmmm we can begin. My secretary will bring the rest of the details with her. She should be coming any minute.
Vicky: hmm okay until then we can brief you on some other details.
Maan: sure...lets begin.
Geet sat opposite of Maan while Vicky went over the necessary detail information about the project. She paid close attention to him...she was noticing some changes in Maan. She was starting to get some white hair which made him look even more distinct more handsome.
His face looked tired as if he didn't get some sleep in days. He was beginning to get some dark circles under his eyes as well. It bothered her. The conference door opened, Geet looked at a girl wearing a mini dress with hair in a ponytail. She looked at Maan and smiled. Maan looked up at her with anger.
Ariana: Sorry sir I am bit late. There was some traffic
Maan; hmmm where are the files?
Ariana: Here you are. (She goes near Maan and bends down a little to give him the file. She lingered close to him while showing him the details inside the file. She was feeling angry seeing her this close to him. Why? She didn't like the way she had one hand behind Maan as she spoke. She was laughing at Vicky's joke but mostly had her eyes on Maan. Geet held the pencil in her hand tightly with anger looking at them..)
Vicky: GEETTT (Geet comes out of her thoughts and looks at Vicky)
Geet; huh
Vicky: What are you thinking? I have been calling for a minute now
Geet; Sorry...what is the matter?
Vicky: Should we begin the presentation?
Geet; hmm yeah..(Geet got up to give the presentation. Maan looks at her with a smile. Geet didn't know what to say...she forget everything..she just looked at the girl sitting close to Maan...she was angry...she just stood there looking...)
Vicky (comes up and touches her shoulder..Maan looks at his hand and becomes angry. He knew that Vicky was her boss and a close friend but he still didn't like it when anyone touches her. He made a fist to control his anger...) Geet are you alright?
Geet: huh umm...
Vicky: its okay you sit and I will present...(She nodes her head and makes her way to the seat. Vicky did the meeting...Maan and Geet didn't pay attention...both were sneaking glances at one another. After the presentation..) Okay so what do you think Maan?
Maan: huh ...umm..Ariana what do you think? (He didn't want Vicky to know he didn't pay attention. Geet couldn't believe that he asked his staff and that to her..)
Ariana: Sir I think it is perfect.
Maan (smiles) hmm okay I guess the deal is done. (Maan gets up and shakes his hand...)
Vicky: Nice. Okay lets all go to dinner to celebrate.
Geet (looks at him) umm Vicky I can't..
Maan: Come on Geet...you have to be there...besides we are the client and we can drop this deal right now
Vicky: she is joking..she will come..right Geet? (He gave her a pleading look. Geet sighs and shakes her head yes)
Maan (smirks) hmm okay then its decided. (he looks at Ariana) You go back to the office and put the details together. (Geet was happy to hear that. The girl left feeling dejected...Maan looks at Vicky...he nodes his head...)
Vicky (picks up the phone that was ringing...) Its from home. Excuse me. Sorry guys I have to go home...Meera isn't feeling well.
Geet: ohh okay...take care of her. Let me know if she needs anything. We will go home as well.
Vicky: ohh no..you have to go to dinner with Maan...he is our client..
Maan (comes from behind with a smile) so lets go Ms. Geet.
Geet: But...
Vicky: Geet we need this deal...so make sure we get it...I gotta go now..bye..
(Vicky runs out of the building...Maan looks at Geet with a smile)
Maan: so shall we go to dinner?

ohhh..i likey Simi :)the sari was written fab...could imagine the whole bit in my head...i am glad maan is working towards making her confess her feelings for him :Dand the office scene..haha...loved the 'green eyed' monster in both of them :Dawesome update :)Reya
