Chapter 12
Maan sat in the bar drinking heavyly one glass after another thinking about the phone call drowning himself with remorse and guilt.
"Hello sir"
Maan: Yeah what did you find out...
"I looked at the hospital records..he does not have any fathers name written on the birth certificate only his moms...he was born in year ____" (Maan listens to him shocked..."same year as Annie..only Annie is 4 months older then him..." He listened on to the phone) "I asked around her previous job and no one has ever seen her husband" Maan drops the phone... "hello sirr..." his voice was ringing in the background. Maan couldn't believe it...Ayush was actually his son...his very own blood...
Each time he closed his eyes he remembered Geet yelling...her screaming...her pleading but he didn't listen...

He sees Ayush smiling face...the bitter truth that he could've been with Ayush...see him grow up...be there whenever he smiled or cried...he had no one to share his sorrow...not even his family members...A waiter comes up to Maan...
"Sir am sorry but you really have to leave now...the bar is closing in few minutes..."

Maan looked at him and grabbed a bottle before leaving the place. He stubbled a little as he got down from his chair holding the bar table for support. He makes his way outside drinking straight from the bottle. He ignored his driver and started walking. He looked up at the sky with tears..it started pouring..he smiled knowing his sorrows are being shared as it rained. He stopped a little as he saw group of people sitting in the rain drinking and dancing. He smiled and sat with them as he shared his pain with strangers if not his family.

Geet: And I like you...(She turns around unable to face him...Maan puts his hands on her shoulders and turns her around...)
Maan: just like? (She nodes her head yes...) Geet just like?
Geet: woh uhh...and you are very good looking...(She moves away blushing and smiling from him...Maan smiles and moves toward her...he puts his arms around her waist from behind and places his chin on her shoulders...)
Maan: Geet...I am dying to know...don't do this to me..please...(Geet st: "How do I tell him that it is hard for me to say whats in my heart..he is a guy he doesn't blush but as a girl how can I say that I..I..love him..." She blushes at that thought...)
"Mr. Khurana I am leaving and will never return..." Her last words to Maan before going away for ever. He threw the bottle on the floor...everyone became silent and looked at him. He bends down and touches the broken glass. He looks at his hand while it bleeds and watches it wash away by the rain. He wished his pain could wash away like this too.

Maan smiles as he sees a father and son walking in the rain. The father was holding an umbrella over the kid protecting him from the rain without caring about himself. He imagines himself and Ayush together but soon the image became clouded until it disapeared...he mocks at himself...
He stops in front of Geets house..through the window he could see Geet running around with Ayush while Yash is trying to hold back Geet. His blood boiled in anger seeing Yash touch her...He was about to open the gate when he stopped to realize something. He covers his face with a blanket..and opens the door..

Maan hides behind the guys as he watches Geet holding Ayush...Ayush wiggles in Geets arms to be put down. She puts him down and watches as he goes stand by himself watching everyone in amaze. Maan wanted to hug him right now..he paid close attention to him...the eyes..no wonder they seemed familiar...they were very similar to his and his thick hair...his smile was just like Geets and also his behavior..

He looks at them the final time before leaving. He smiles as he sees Ayush wanting to go in the rain but Geet was holding him back with both hands..."just like your mom..love to play in the rain...don't worry Ayush...I will see your scrapbooks that you made for your father..I am here now and will never leave your side..."
He stands in the corner and watches them go inside the house before leaving with a determined mind...He looks at his injured hands..the bleeding stopped...he smiles and walks home...

Annie: Chachu come on hurry up..I don't want to miss my trip.
Maan: I am ready..where is your mom?
Annie: Mom is already downstairs freaking out and dad is just sitting in one corner pretending to read his newspaper...
Maan (sighs): ok lets go...(He holds her hand and leads her downstairs..the situation is exactly like how Annie described it...NT, Annies mom, stops doing everything and looks at Annie..)
NT: Annie are you ready? Did you forget anything?
Annie (roles her eyes): Mom yeah I am ready and no I didn't forget anything..now can we go now..Chachu is dropping me off.
NT: ok ok..here take this sandwiches in case you get hungry in the bus...you can share it with your friends...(Annie quickly gives her a kiss on the cheek and same with Dev and runs outside to the car...Maan follows her to the car smiling...)
Maan: Geet (he lets go of her waist) if you don't feel the same then I understand...(He looks around...) it is getting late..so I will sleep on the chair and you can take that bed over there...we can leave early in the morning when the storm stops...(He turns around to go when Geet stops him by holding on to his arm...)
Geet: Sir..woh..main...
Maan (turns around pushes her toward him...) Sir nahi Maan...(he whispers in her ears...) sirf Maan...
Geet (gulps): Maan (Maan smiles) sir...(His smile vanishes...)
Maan: Geet what did I just told you? Call me Maan...
Geet: How can I call you Maan? Maan sir?
Maan: From your mouth
Geet: nahi woh..main...
Maan (sighs..) Ok am going to sleep..wake me up tomorrow
He goes and sits on the chair closing his eyes..Geet just stands there looking at him with nervousness..."Geet just say it..he is not going to eat you...he knows that I like him too but i don't know why he wants to hear it...isn't it just enough to know that I like him without saying it?" She crosses her arms and turns her back around..Maan peaks open his eyes and looks at her as she mumbles something to himself..."Geet just go up to him and say it...you are brave right..just go.." She turns around and looks at him again..Maan quickly closes his eyes just as Geet was about to turn around...She marches up to him and looks at him with nervousness..all her courage went out the door...she clears her throat to get his attention but he didn't budge...Maan was trying so hard not to smile or open his eyes..he wanted to just grab her on his lap right now and kiss her forever but he controlled himself..he wanted to hear what she has to say. Then he felt a slight poke on his shoulder..dismissing it thinking its in his head..he opened his ears to listen to her again but again he felt poke on his shoulder. He opened his eyes and grabbed her hand before she could poke him again and pulled her on his lap. Geet looks at him with shock and slight blush on her cheek. He traces her cheek with his hands slightly...he pulls her closer...
Maan: hmm bolo...kyun uthaiya mujhe?
Geet: Woh main kehena chahati thi ki...
Maan: Look into my eyes and say it...
Geet: ki...main...aapse...pyaar...karti hoon...(she hugs him around his neck while blushing..she couldn't meet his eyes...Maan smiles and hugs her back...)
Maan: Geet you have no idea how happy you made me...
The car halted and Maan came out of his thoughts...
Annie: Chachu..we are here...(She gets out of the car and waits for him to get out as well..) Hurry up..I have to find my friends too...
Maan: Ok am out...so where are your friends?
Annie (looks around...) hmm woh raha mera dost..Ayushman...
Maan (looks straight up hearing his name..he follows Annies look and sees Ayush with Geet and Yash...) Do you know him?
Annie: Yeah he is my friend..he was suppose to come for sleepover before but couldn't...remember I told you one of my friend couldn't come..it was him...
Maan looks at Ayush as he struggles to get away from Geets hug. His arms were moving in the air asking help for Yash to get her away from her. Yash holds Geet by the shoulder and makes her come out of the hug. Ayush places a kiss on her and Yash's cheek before going but even then Geet stopped him and gave him another hug. Maan smiled seeing how protective and caring Geet is as a mother. He looks down at Annie as she holds his hand to go toward them.
Yash: Geet let go of Ayush. He is going to be okay. How many times are you going to give him hugs...
Ayush (struggling to come out of her grip..) Mom let go...I will be okay..I had promised to call you everyday nah...mom...
Geet (comes out of the hug and sits on her knees..she wipes her tears away and holds Ayush) Okay promise to call me everyday and let me know of any problems you have and also make sure you sleep on time and make sure you eat on time and
Ayush (in a annoyed voice) mom..I got it..now I have to go..I still have to find my friends...
Yash (comes and stands next to Geet...) Good luck Ayush (he signals him to leave before Geet could hug him again...)
Ayush: Alright bye mom..bye uncle...(he turns around and finds Annie coming toward him..he waves her high and goes up to him...) Hi Annie..are you ready...
Annie: yeah...lets go...
Ayush: Where are your parents? I don't see them?
Annie: ohh they didn't come..but my cachu did..remember I told you about him...
Ayush: yeah..where is he?
Annie: umm he is over there...(She points toward Maan who had his back toward them...Annie holds his hand..) come lets go and I will introduce you to him...
Ayush: Okay...(Both make their way toward Maan...)
Annie (tugs on his pant..) chachu this is my friend Ayush...(Maan slowly turns around and looks at him..Ayush has a shocked impression on his face...)
Ayush: you...you are the same one right from the bathroom?
Maan (nodes his head...) I am uhh Annies chachu...
Ayush: ohh...(the teacher blows a whistle telling all the kids to board the bus) Okay we have to go now.dost...
Maan takes out a chocolate bar and was about to give it to Ayush when he sees Geet standing right behind him looking at him with tears...he stops midway...Ayush turns around and looks at her...Geet just grabs Ayushs hands and leaves with him.
Ayush: mom stop...
Geet (stops and bends down...) What did I told you before? I told you not to talk to him when you see him or take anything from him. He is a stranger and you don't take anything that a stranger gives you...haven't I told you before?
Ayush: but he is Annies chachu...he is not a stranger...
(She looks up and sees Maan standing there holding Annies hand. She saw he was in pain hearing her talk like that...She stands up and looks at him...)
Maan (looks away not being able to handle her painful stare at him...) woh main dono ko chocolate...
Geet: Thank you but Ayush does not eat any chocolates...
Annie: Chachu...our bus...(Geet looks at Annie when she called Maan chachu..she holds Ayush and leads him toward the bus...she gives him a goodbye kiss and watches him take a seat along with Annie...Maan stands right behind Geet as he waves goodbye to Annie...Both watch the bus leave..just when Geet was about to leave Maan holds her hand...)
Maan: Geet...listen to me...
Geet: Let go of my hand Mr.Khurana (She snatches her hand away from him)
Maan: Geet listen...(he comes in front of her..)
Geet: kyun? Kaun hoon main? (She looks into his eyes waiting for an answer...) Jawab nahi hai na...(she smirks and leaves leaving Maan in pain...)

that was a killer update loved it to the core im glad that maan found out that ayush was his son but i really want maan to make up for what he did to geet in the past and his son (unintentionally) although he cant take back the pain that he caused im happy that maan is determined to win back his family but i think i might change my mind depending on how creul the thing might be that destroyed maaneets realationship cont soon please dead eager for the next part thanks for the pm..!! :)
