Chapter 24

After trusting him with her heart, body and soul, trusting him for a drive at night wasn't something huge to ponder over for Khushi.. With ruffled hairs , sleep deprived eyes, they looked like the survivors of some tragedy.. But their entwined hands and glowing faces spoke else wise, infact exactly contradicting.. Clad in night wares, sweaters and slippers, both of them looked as if they were eloping in this dark and silent hour of the night..

Smiling widely, Khushi chuckled looking out of the window, glancing at Arnav and then chuckling back at the window.. Coming out of the 'still lost in our sensual dance' mode, Arnav grinned at his Love's antics as well as at the thumping euphoria of having taken his lady on a long drive on a silent romantic night.. His chest expanded as his heart bet a million times faster, making this new feel of being in love openly, in content, spread contagiously through out his entire being.. Still smiling boyishly, resembling a hormonal teenager in his first crush, Arnav spoke elated, laughter etched in his voice..

"Whaat?"

Shaking her head, Khushi turned to Arnav chuckling, trying to control herself from laughing out loud..

"This.. Its.. Its as if we are eloping.."

Not just her streak of humor but also her blush at that thought, effortlessly made Arnav burst into peals of laughter..

"It really is.. Isn't it?"

Nodding at him in a daze, Khushi couldn't help but feel complete at having hear and see him laugh.. The way he stilled for a moment before he took the words in completely, laugh his heart out, with his eyes scrunched and head thrown back, reminded her of something, or rather, of someone who is so dear to her, deeply buried in the depths of her soul.. But who? It felt as if she had been transported to another part of her life.. Something that she always cherished but kept hidden so as not to cry over her present for not having what she once had.. And now she realized that she bottled them up so tight and secretly that, she's now as good as a stranger to them, yet closely related..

Sensing Khushi all silent, Arnav turned to her, his face handsomely young, with the smile still adorned on his beautiful lips..

"I know you really well, dont I? You.. I.. I dont remember anything right now, but, this feeling.. Your laughter.. Its.. It is so familiar.. The way my heart is racing and its.. I'm filled with nostalgia right now, but of what? I still dont remember.. But.. This feeling is not alien to me, Arnav.. Are you getting what I'm trying to say? Its as if I'v lived through this like, like forever.. Like its something I loved so very dearly.. I.. I know you with my heart, Arnav.. My heart did recognize you, but, I dont think my mind figured it out yet.. I know you.. I do.. I can feel you and.. And I can swear that you were a very very dear person to me.. Oh, Arnav!! I love you!!!"

The winds grew gentle as Khushi's eyes twinkled with tears of joy, as bright as the stars smiling down at them majestically.. Somewhere from the dense forest beneath them, came a faint hoot of an owl.. As the huge lush pine trees swayed slightly whooshing the air, shining as they played peek-a-boo with the blushing moon from the clouds, Arnav finally breathed as he relived the moment again and again, as Khushi's confession sunk into him.. Not caring that he stopped the SUV ages ago in the middle of the Goddamned deserted road, he leaned towards Khushi.. Her hand still entwined in his, is now almost crushed.. As Khushi cupped his glistening face with her trembling hand, Arnav let out a shuddered gasp, whispering her name brokenly, but with love..

As a lone tear escaped his warm over whelmed eyes, Arnav kissed Khushi's inner palm that was resting on his slightly stubble cheek.. Kissing away her tears, Arnav placed a lingering kiss to her forehead, as Khushi threw her hands around Arnav's neck, pulling him into her..

"I love you too, Khushi,, And I'm sure your mind will mingle with your heart very soon.."

Hauling her onto his lap by her hips, Arnav plunged into Khushi's awaiting elixir, as his tongue mated with hers, dancing their way around in that erotic world.. Khushi pulled back lunging in a deep breath before slamming herself onto Arnav, not giving him a chance to pull back, shocking him to the core.. Smiling into her mouth, Arnav leaned onto Khushi who kept pulling him more into herself, threading her fingers through his thick black soft hair..

And in their passionate moment, the couple forgot the fact that they are in Arnav's SUV and so, their previous movement of Arnav hovering over Khushi, made her lean backwards onto the steering, causing the horn to blast resoundingly, shattering the till then silence of the night...

Breaking apart startled to senses, Khushi lowered her head, blushing the deepest reds as she realized how wanton she had been a few moments back.. Cradling his neck in Khushi's shoulder Arnav breathed deep, trying his level best to get back his now 'on the verge to break' self control to a safer notch.. Inhaling her unique scent of wild roses and evening lilies, Arnav hugged her to himself.. As they lay molded in his embrace, feeling each other's presence without uttering even a single sound, Arnav kissed Khushi's nape as he moved back to look into her deep hazel green eyes.. Pecking her lips softly, Arnav rubbed his thumb on her cheek as he whispered to her lips, his forehead on her's, his breath washing her face, filling her soul..

"We need to move.. There is something I want to show you.. Something I want you to have.. Will you let me?"

Kissing him slowly making him tighten his grip and groan, Khushi whispered back softly..

"Always.."

10 minutes later, as Arnav parked the SUV on some deserted turn of an up going road, Khushi looked at him staring back at her with all his love.. Blushing, she smiled as he leaned forward and kissed her forehead, Khushi smiled into his eyes..

"I need you to trust me, Khushi.. Will you?"

"More than myself.."

Her instant reply made him kiss her hard and quick..

"I'd have devoured you, if not for the demanding situation that we are in.. I'm gonna blindfold you and you are gonna follow my lead with no questions and absolutely no fear at all.. Okay?"

Smiling as she nodded, Khushi couldn't help but feel her heart dancing to a very sensual tango beat, making her soul perform salsa almost sinfully! Arnav hugged her briefly before he blindfolded her with a black soft cloth.. Pecking her lips, he made her sit in the SUV and asked her to wait for a few minutes before he'd come back to get her.. Khushi could hear a lot of shuffling, thumping, zipping and thudding sounds, but nothing made any sense to her.. So, giving into the pleasant yet chilled winds, she smiled shyly as she remembered how Arnav hugged her to his soul protecting her from these very same winds..

She felt his warmth nearing her and in the next moment felt his most familiar and yet tempting lips peck hers softly.. Smiling as she felt being lifted up in his arms, Khushi snuggled close to him, laying her head at his chest, clutching around his neck.. Grinning slowly, Khushi turned her head and placed a firm kiss to his thumping heart that she could feel under her cheek.. She heard him groan and tighten his hold..

"Sweetheart, I always be on the verge of getting my control snapped, every single time you are around me, and if you keep killing me this way, I'l.. I.. Urgh! Do you realize what you do to me, Khushi? You make me speechless.. The Arnav Singh Raizada speechless! Damn! Love, you are unbelievable!"

Chuckling as she heard him complain like a kid of 5, Khushi snuggled even deeper before he set her down safely.. Kissing her softly as he hugged her into him, Arnav whispered to her forehead..

"I love you.."

Before she could respond to him, Khushi felt Arnav turning her in his arms.. With his left hand tightly secured around her waist, that now lay splayed on her belly, and her hands on top of his, Arnav pulled away the blind fold as he placed his right hand above both her hands.. Cocooning her into him, Arnav whispered softly to her ears..

"The Ray Of The Dawn.."

Khushi's eyes blurred even before her mind could register what happened.. She was seeing the Sun rising above the horizon, majestically in its deep orange-red, spreading the warmth and light all through out the universe.. But the warmth she felt at that moment of being in the arms of her man, living the moment of watching 'The Ray Of The Dawn' with 'Her Ray Of The Dawn', Khushi could simply not speak anything! All she could do was to stand stupefied as she felt as it she was floating in the sky witnessing the Sun waking up to greet her.. She swiftly turned around in his arms and crushed herself into his embrace.. Kissing his chest firm and quick, Khushi let out a shuddered sob as Arnav ran his hands up and down her back..

"Khushi..?"

Nodding a 'no' to his chest with her head still hidden, Khushi whispered brokenly..

"No.. Let me be.. Let me feel this.. Let it sink into me, Arnav.. I need it.. I.. God! Just hold me tight.. Please.."

Kissing her soft hairs, Arnav held her tight into him as she savored this moment, making it etched forever in their hearts.. A few moments later when Arnav felt her breathing go steady, he pulled her from him and made her face her actual surprise..

Khushi walked like a zombie, her limbs betraying the strength her heart showed.. Her every cell numbing with the sheer intensity of joy.. She touched the huge canvas facing the valley where the Sun is yet rising.. The paints, the apron, the stand, everything they'v shopped but left them in Arnav's SUV, every single thing needed was present.. Even the rising Sun.. One look at it and she was immediately transported to the memories she long forgot...

Warmth..

Safety..

Tenderness..

Protection..

Calmness..

Awakening..

Khushi felt the above emotions flooding her cold veins, clearing her clouded mind, stroking her slumbered heart, screaming at her defeated senses as she felt herself supported by a pair of huge, muscular but gentle hands, preventing her from falling into the pit of affliction..

"Open your eyes, Khushi.."

She felt herself being lifted from the ground and cradled against the owner of the hands and the secure and loving voice calling out to her.. Afraid to let go of the life spreading slowly into her, she refused her savior by turning her head from side to side.. She felt the grip on her tightening when she heard that voice again.. It was ringing through her soul as if soothing it making it to come to life.. And it was then she recognized that the soft and warm voice was a man's..

"You'v waited too long to shut yourself now, Khushi.. I'm here, finally and I won't let you break down anymore.. "

What?! How..How did..did he know?!? Her name? Her pain? Her darkest fears? Her deepest wishes?? Who is he???

What was it in his voice that made her insides go wild and calm at the same time.. His touch providing her the haven she always had been in search for.. Even before her mind came to a conclusion, her heart forced her eyes to carefully open..Chocolate brown..

Love undying..Care heart melting..Warmth never ending...

"Look.. It's dawn.."

His low whisper spreading heat all over face.. Khushi snapped her head to the direction he showed.. He let her down to stand on her feet as gently as possible.. Khushi felt alive.. A smile broke out of her lips as she took in the rising Sun.. Remembering the incidents few moments ago, Khushi turned back abruptly only to collide with the same warm and hard body.. She felt herself being encased in his huge hands gently.. Khushi lifted her eyes to look at him but once she met with his chocolate brown ones, she couldn't take her eyes off them..

"The night is over, Khushi.. So is the wait.. I'm here.. All you need to do is, listen to your heart, Khushi.. Look at things the way Khushi used to and you'l find me... Always.. Close to you.. Close enough to hold me if you'd stretch your hands.."

Saying this, her Savior started walking back, his eyes never leaving hers.. Khushi could do nothing but stare at the depths of his Brown warm orbs.. Finally when he was starting to fade away, she found herself asking..

"Who.. Who are you..?"

He smiled warmly at her making her feel strong and loved..

"The ray of the dawn you eagerly wait to watch each day.. The ray of the dawn your father promised you of.."
