Arnav walked to and fro his table, on which lay a blue file.. Never ever did any file has gained this level of attention from Arnav Singh Raizada as this one currently is.. Finally after having a cold shower and settling on the recliner beside his pool, Arnav flipped open the lucky file..

But where was the twinkle that once was the reason for the warmth in his heart? Why did it hold so much pain? Why was her smile not real? This isn't the Khushi he knew.. Not the girl he cherished.. Not the kid he remembered.. What had happened to her??

Half an hour later, Arnav decided how to do what he intended to do and rushed back to the living room of Shantivan.. He was met by his elder sister, his world, his Anjali Di..

"Chotey.. Tum teekh ho?"

"Yeah Di.. I'm fine.. Di, one sec.. I need to talk to everyone.."

"What's the matter Chotey?"

"Every one.. I need a few minutes.. I an going to Manali.. 3 days later.. Sashi uncle had always been my guide, philosopher and mentor.. Its been 5 years and we had no idea about what happened to him.. We not being informed or not being maintained in contact is not an excuse.. At least, we should have made a even more harder attempt to find Sashi uncle or at least contact him.. We are equally guilty, if not, even more.. All I know is I need to get back to Sashi Uncle's family.. To Khushi.."

"Khushi was always the apple of Sashi Uncle's eye.. She is exactly like Garima Aunty.. Beauty, brains and innocence.. I'v always liked her and her antics.. Now, when I look back, I guess I really liked her more than I could understand.. I am going to her, not as ASR, but as a stranger, her childhood friend, Arnav, whom she might probably have forgotten.. If everything turns out good, Khushi'l be my wife, the Daughter-in-Law of this house.. If she's already in relation, I'l still look out for any problems, if at all any that they are facing, clear all of them, set back relations with our family and then shall return.."

"I'm not doing this out of guilt or sympathy but out of responsibility.. And selfishness that may be the only girl who managed to warm my heart all those years back is still meant for me.. And as far as solving their problems, it's the least I can do for what Sashi Uncle has guided me to become today.. But before that, I need your support through this and I want to know if any one have any problems with it.."

Nani was the first to respond

"Today I see Aarav in you Chotey.. I can't tell you how proud I am.. I'm with you.."

She kissed Arnav's fore head and made way for Shyaam, Anjali's husband to walk toward Arnav..

"I'm with you,Arnav.. Anything from my side, remember I'm here.."

"Thank you Jeejaji. I appreciate it."

Arnav turned to his mother figure expecting at least a word from her..

Anjali walked towards him and cupped his face..

"My Arnav has become a man now.. You'v made me proud of my up-bringing.. Go Chotey.. We are with you.."

Arnav hugged his Di.. This meant a lot to him.. He took the decision of going out there but was as blank of the reality there as they were here.. This support meant a lot to him.. Specially after he returned to India after 12 long years to live here permanently but leaving them again just 3 days after his arrival..

"Thanks Di.."

"Finally grown up? Common Anjali, Arnav is 27 now! High time to bring a daughter-in-law.. Go beta.. Your Mami is with you.."

A chuckle almost made its way through Arnav's throat only to be cut by the hug of Aakash..

"Bhai!! Finally!! Oh my God!! Please Bhai.. I don't know what you have planned but please bring my Bhabhi as soon as possible.. I don't mind even if you elope.. But just make it fast.."

A laughing family was cut silent with Arnav's smirking reply..

"Patience Aakash.. By the way, Payal is my core team member and she respects me more than you love her.. So.. Don't worry Bachu, you'l not get hitched unless I want you to.."

And the laughter just doubled!!!

Manali

Khushi lay awake, away from the fun her family were having below.. Staring at the star studded sky, she sent a silent prayer..

"I'v been waiting since a very long time.. Please help me before I completely break down.. I desperately need you.."

Delhi

Arnav finally made to his room.. He stared at the same twinkling sky..

"I'm coming.. Just be there Khushi.."
