It was quarter past 4, and still she was not sleepy. Tired of surfing, she closed her lappy and got up from her bed. It was a bit cold outside, so she wrapped herself in a shawl n went out-to her balcony.
It was the 15^th of October, n so, the Malhotra's Mansion', just opposite to her flat, was draped in lights! Strands of blue-colored lighted bulbs studded in wires hung beautifully from the roof of the huge, white double-storied building.
It was their daughter's wedding today.

She shifted her gaze to an ivory white BMW standing at the gate of the house. Her eyes almost propped out from the sockets at its sight!!
It was HIS car!

"What the f*** is he doing here!!?" She muttered n hurriedly carried herself back to her room, bolting the balcony-door on her way.
She got inside her warm n cozy bed, throwing away the shawl, which landed on her cell phone lying on the side-table. Its menu button was blinking, which indicated that there was an unread message. She stretched her arm to its fullest n grabbed it.

She sighed.
"So I was right! U r actually here!!"

It was already quarter to 5 n her office was at 9 o'clock. She couldn't imagine what she would be doing for these 4 hours...! So she just opened the drawer of her side-table, took out the bottle of sleeping-pills n emptied it in her mouth. She dozed off into God knows how much deep slumber!! She slept... N slept for hours & obviously missed her office as well!

Finally she woke up at 11:30. Someone was buzzing her doorbell mercilessly!

"What the hell!" She screamed n went to open the door.

Misha entered jumping like monkeys!
"Arghhh! Misha! Will u stop hopping like frogs n behave sanely...!" She yelled at her.
But Misha didn't seem to notice n kept on jumping!
"MISH! Will u stop it, for god's sake! She held her wrist n pulled her...
"Kiruu... My sweetu... Do u even know what has happened??" She spoke with glistening eyes n a wide grin.
"What?" She spoke with least interest as she settled herself on a couch, with eyes closed.
"Today's function at Malhotra's Mansion... U remember, Sanju said she'll be giving a party shortly after the Jai-Mala is done!!"
"Hmm.. So?" She faked a yawn n reached over to a magazine... This irritated her more!
"So... Kria, listen na!" She frowned n grabbed the magazine, "So, she called me an hour ago, n gave me details of the party. N guess what... It's a MASQUERADE party!"
"What...!!" She hopped up in delight!
"N cherry on the cake-the dress code is black!!"
"Wowwiee! I love u Mishu... Love u a lot!!" She grabbed her by shoulders n hugged her tightly.

Masquerade parties had always been her kinda things! Kria just loved them to core! N on top of that black color-literally a cherry on the cake for her!! Her whole day went-by with her switching between her flat n Malhotra's Mansion! She was for sure hell tired! But the thought of the masquerade just charged her up over again!!
