Chapter 16
Part 16:
Pallavi went inside and after 2 hours of working, Armaan and Ridhima left for home but it was raining so they could not get a taxi nor an auto. Suddenly a driver went past them but came behind.
Pallavi: Lift?
Armaan: Ridhima?
Ridhima: Sure.
Armaan sat with Pallavi while Ridhima sat behind.
Pallavi: Where do you live?
Armaan: Sanjeevani Guesthouse. I'm sure you'll know it.
Pallavi: Even I used to live there when I was an intern.
Ridhima: But you didn't have a house?
Pallavi: I had but we had to stay near Sanjeevani.
Armaan: We?
Pallavi: Me and my sister.
Ridhima: Sister?
Armaan: People can't have sisters, Now where is she?
Pallavi: She's no more, but we all used to enjoy very much.
Ridhima: It must have been Great.
Pallavi: After that she married our collegue and my best friend.
Armaan: Nice story. And what happened of her husband?
Pallavi: He also died with her.
Ridhima: So sad. There's the guest house. Thanks!
Armaan: Thanks!
Pallavi: Your welcome.
Armaan and Ridhima hurried inside only to find everyone already sleeping. They also retired to sleep. Next morning Ridhima was just sleeping when she felt someone was there, she felt a face and gave a slap in her sleep. A voice came which made her come to reality.
Armaan: You're mad! Why did you slap me?
Ridhima: First things first, What are you doing here?
Armaan: I got scared with some flashbacks.
Ridhima: Flashbacks!
Armaan: That Ridhima has given her memories to me! Till the time I came to tell you, you were asleep. Then at midnight I got scared and came here.
Ridhima: I'm more better than you! Atleast I came when you were awake! Why didn't you wake me up?
Armaan: I don't know.
Ridhima: Don't know!
Armaan: Chill! I'm going
Ridhima: Sorry! I got a little more.
Armaan: It's Ok.
Armaan was about to open when Sapna knocked. Ridhima just made a shocking face with a I'm dead expression. Armaan told her to open the door, he'll hide in the bathroom. Ridhima opened the door.
Ridhima: Hi... S.apna.
Sapna: Good Morning!
Ridhima: What.. happened?
Sapna: What happened to you?
Ridhima: Nothing...nothing.
Sapna: Ok, I need your toothpaste, Mine's finished.
Ridhima: Wait.
Sapna: You go! I'll get it.
Ridhima: No.
Sapna: I'll get it.
Sapna went to the bathroom meanwhile Ridhima couldn't go in because of embarassment. Sapna came out and went to her room. Ridhima went to the bathroom calling Armaan's name.
Ridhima: Armaan?
Armaan: What?
Ridhima: Where are you?
Armaan: I'm here.
Armaan was sitting in the tub, cross legged only to fit in. Ridhima saw him and started laughing.
Ridhima: What are you doing here?
Armaan: Don't you see. Hiding?
Ridhima: Sorry!
Armaan: It's Ok.
Ridhima: Now go to your room.
Armaan: Going. Give me a hand.
Ridhima: Here
Armaan held Ridhima's hand but destiny, Armaan slipped and took Ridhima also. Both in the tub staring. After a few seconds, Armaan and Ridhima were trying to get up but not speaking. Both went to the room.
Ridhima: Go carefully.
Armaan: Ok,Ok.
After an hour, everyone where downstairs getting ready, running to get their files.
Atul: Do fast, Gabbar is going to kill us.
Anjali: Atul, Let me find my file.
Sapna: Here it is.
Muskaan: Come on Rahul.
Rahul: Coming.
Ridhima: Wait, I forgot my pager.
Armaan: My file!
Both went upstairs ran through their room and came back.
Atul: But we are 7, Can't fit in 1 taxi.
Anjali: Then let's take 2.
Atul: Right! I'm mad.
Anjali: That you are.
Everyone reached Sanjeevani and ran till the nurse station. Dr Keerti came after a while, seeing their faces.
Dr.Keerti: Have you all done an Olympic race?
All: No ma'am
Dr. Keerti: Then why are you looking like that?
Atul: We've ran only to report at time.
Dr.Keerti: Ran?
Anjali: Yes Ma'am.
Dr. Keerti: Ok, Dr.Aul and Dr. Anjali, Path Lab. Dr, Sapna, General Ward. Dr.Rahul and Dr.Muskaan, Cancer Ward and Dr. Armaan and Dr.Ridhima, Children's Ward.
Everyone went to their wards, while working. An annoucement came: "All interns please report urgently to nurse station, Emergency." All were in the nurse station within minutes.
Dr. Keerti: Some people have been injured while going to Lonavla. There are 8 people: 4 people with minor injuries. Dr. Sapna, Dr. Atul and Dr. Anjali. attend them.
Sapna, Atul & Anjali: Yes ma'am
Dr. Keerti: There are 3 people who have been cut with glasses from the windows. I want Dr. Muskaan and Dr. Rahul to attend them.
Muskaan and Rahul: Yes ma'am.
Dr. Keerti: And last, 1 woman who pregnant, almost finishing her 8th month.Dr. Armaan and Dr, Ridhima, I'm leaving her to you.
Armaan and Ridhima: Yes Ma'am
Dr. Keerti: Now please, Start now, We don't have time.
All: Yes Ma'am.
Tension was in the air. Dr. Pallavi summoned everyone to her cabin.
Dr. Pallavi: I know you all have different cases which, each, is very difficult. I just want to say, We are here to save people but the rest is in God's hands. We all will try our best. Please don't get too tensed, relax and do your respective duties. We all are here for your help. Now, Get back to work.
All: Thank you Ma'am.
