Part -5

Milind and Neev arrived at the Shah office. They met Alaap at the reception of the office, who was waiting for them. The three of them entered Inder's cabin, to complete their formalities of the business. Inder was looking more pale than ever, his guiltiness was clearly be seen on his face. That day would be the last day in his office, after that day everything would go to Milind. This was the first time in his life he was keeping his promise, as his daughter's life was on the stake. After her marriage he became a lonely man. Now he cannot meet or speak to his daughter as he promised to break all the relations with her. The only fear was that, how would his daughter react if she ever knew the truth. Questions started swirling in his brain. Would she believe anyone about this?, even she believed by fault would she start hating him. He could bear, his daughter hating him. He comes backs to his senses, seeing three of them coming inside. He hands over the file of documents to Milind for his signatures. Inder had completed his turn of work already, as he was not ready face anyone for a longer time. It took them nearly half-n-hour to finish rest of the formalities. After this Inder leaves the office without uttering a single word.

Milind comes to Neev and Alaap, he hands over the file to him. But Alaap smiles ant him. "yeh mujhe nahi chayihe, yeh sirf teri haq hi aur rehegi. Yeh sab mujhe chahiye tho, tumhe kyuon beeche mein latha hoon?"(I don't want anything. You own this. If I need all this why would I bring you in this?). "par………………..", before Milind could speak something, "nahi, kuch bolne ki zarrorat nahi, mein thoda jaldi mein hoon, mera beta ghar pe akhela hai"(no need to tell anything, I'm in a hurry, my son is alone at the house).

"why can't you and your son join us for the lunch today", asked Neev who stopped near the door, seeing that both were still there talking. "I can't………..", "why, don't want to see your sister..,kal tum Prachi ke saath theek se baat bhi nahi kiya tha, aaj mokha milrahethe,par tum nahi aana chathe kyuon?"( yesterday you didn't talk to Prachi properly, today you got a chance and you don't want to come why) Milind cut him off in the middle.

He, don't know what to say, accepts the invitation to Milind's house. On the way they pick up Alaap's son Rithwick, who was puzzled where they were taking him. He looked at his father on whom he was sitting, and looks at Milind who sitting beside him and driving the car. "papa kaha jaarahe hum."(dad where are we going) "teri bua ke ghar", not convinced by his father's answer, he continues "par bua humare ghar mein raheti hai na"asked him innocently. "abhi nahi', he noticed that Milind was enjoying the conversation that was going on, he continues. "iss uncle ke ghar mein raheti hai ab", pointing towards Milind. Rithwick makes a confused looks at both of them. "uncle bua kyoun aapke ghar mein hai?", asks trying to stand on his father's lap. Before Milind could say anything he realizes that they have reached the apartments.

"hum ghar aajye, chal kar teri bua se hi puch lethe hai", carrying Rithwick in his arms ,moves towards the lift. Till they reached the last floor, Rithwick was pestering him to reply for his question. In the house, Prachi,Ayesha and Sukruthi were gossiping leaving Sukruthi's husband, Saket alone reading the newspaper. Prachi accidentally turns her head towards the main door, and was shocked seeing Rithwick in Milind's arms. Seeing her,Rithwick was kicking his legs, wanted to be free to meet his aunt. Milind puts him on the floor. Once free he goes and clutches Prachi's legs. She once lifts him and tries to kisses him, but he turns away his face, indicating he was angry with her. "meri bittu kyoun itna gusse mein hai?", she continues, "mujhe patha hai ki bittu ko uuski bua ne chocolate dena bhool gayi, hai, na". She notice him shaking his head angrily. She places him on the floor and hands a Dairy Milk chocolate to him. As he was about to take it, she pulls her hand away and "bua ko kiss nahi kaorogi", she shows her cheek to him. He kisses her and snatches the chocolate telling "tankuuuuuuuuu", he runs away from there. She lifts her head and sees Sukruthi's son, Siddarth watching at them , gloomily. "tumhe kaise bhoolungi, yeh tumhare liye", she hands over another one to him and kisses on the forehead. He also goes from from there, happily as if he had conquered the world, screaming in a high pitched voice.

Everything that was happening till now was been watched by Milind who had planted himself near the main door, very excitedly at his wife and the kids. A small curve of smile had crept on his face seeing them. He was lost in the dreams, day by day he started admiring her. He came back to senses hearing voices of Neev and Alaap. All of the gathered there, discussing.Milind excuses himself, in pretext of getting refreshed, goes into his room. As he enters the room, he finds the suitcase, half opened lying on the couch, where he selpt last night. He then slowly turns his head towards the wadrobe. He then moves towards it and started fidgeting with it. Downstairs Ayesha was asking her watch she left the previous day with Prachi. Prachi goes upstairs to get the watch from the suitcase. The sound of the bangles made him turn around and sees Prachi standing near the door. She was looking in another direction, fidgeting with her pallu of the saree. Maybe nervous he thought, he let out a soft laugh and continued to do his work. She popped her head inside, and finds him pushing something in the wadrobe. He leaves the room in the haste, and she enters to find out that he had empitied one of his wadrobe for her things.

Once down, all had lunch together, praising Prachi's dishes. Alaap who never tasted her dishes, praised her. All were laughing and chit-chating, but Milind and Prachi were sitting silently taking quick glances each other's rather seriously. By the time all left, it was late night. Both were exhausted and tired. They go upstairs, Milind goes to washroom to take shower, so that he could get a night's sound sleep. Seeing him going to the washroom, Prachi hurriedly pulls the bed covers and the pillow, settles down on the couch, pretending to sleep. Few moments later, Milind comes out and sees the bed empty rather shocked in his expression……………………………
