PART- 18

 

Recap: Raj tries to convince naina but in vain. On the other day raj meets colonel sahay and his mentor colonel mehra. Naina also comes there and raj finds out that colonel sahay is naina's mentor. Colonel sahay and colonel mehra order raj and naina to work together. They both agree. Colonel sahay removes naina's misunderstanding about raj.

 

Now

The weather was really beautiful and raj was really happy that at least naina was ready to work with him. Naina's eyes were closed as she was bit tired and raj was looking @ her innocent face while driving. Suddenly the car stopped with a screech and naina woke up.

Raj got out of the car and he saw that the tire was punctured.

"What happened?" Naina asked raj.

"The tire is punctured." Raj replied.

Raj checked back of the car but there wasn't spare tire to change.

Raj- oh god, there is no spare tire either and on this road @ this hour we are not able to find any help. (It was already 8:00 pm)

Naina- well, so we have two options: either we wait for some car or we can walk.

Raj- walk? KMA is still 20 KMs far away.

Naina- so? An army officer can walk 20 KMs, can't he?
Raj- well I don't mind but what about you?

Naina- well I love this weather and you know this area very well so if we go by forest then we will reach earlier.

Raj- ok then let's go.

Raj moved the car off the road with naina's help and he took two bags out which had some things needed in case of emergency. Naina carried one bag and raj carried the other one and they both started to walk.

Naina- what's in the bag captain?

Raj- nothing much, a sleeping bag, torch, some water, a gun and some other stuff for camping.

Naina- oh so these kinds of things happen to you a lot right?

Raj- No, why?

Naina- no it's just you are prepared that's why captain.

Raj- a person should always prepare for any kind of situation. And by the way, you can call me raj instead of captain.

Naina- I don't think it would be wise.

Raj- why not?

Naina- well I can't come to your class and tell you that raj here I didn't do any of my homework because I was busy with my case. Is it?

Raj- well technically, you can't call me captain in class either.

Naina- then I will call you sir. Right sir?

Raj- well you don't seem to have problem but I will have big one about when to call you cadet and when to call you captain.

Naina- then let's make a deal. When we are alone you call me naina and I will call you raj, and in front of everybody you can call me cadet singh and I will call you sir.

Raj- then it's a deal naina.

Raj was leading the way as he knew the area very well. They were walking for past one hour so they decided to take some rest before go any further but suddenly the weather changed and it started raining so naina and raj both stood under a tree. Naina was thinking what to do as her hairs were completely wet and she was starting to feel a little cold. On the other hand raj was just mesmerized by naina's simplicity and beauty that he was just looking at her without blinking but naina's words broke his chain of thoughts.

Naina- what will we do now raj?

Raj- oh I think, we use all the equipment to set up a tent.

 They both took out all the stuff from two bags and put a tent. By the time, the tent was ready they both were completely wet but the rain had stopped.

Raj- well, it stopped raining.

Naina gave a smile that he thought their effort was just a waste and now they have to continue their journey. But she thought something else.

Naina- well yes, it stopped but it could start again.

Raj- well it looks like that we can spend night here and then go back in the morning if you don't have any problem.

Naina- I don't have any problem.

Raj- Then I should gather some wood so we don't get sick because of cold.

Naina- I can help you.

Raj- no it's ok, I will get it by myself.

He went back with woods for fire, and they started fire and sat opposite to one another.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~On the other side in KMA, Huda, aalekh and aditya were carrying out their plan what abhi asked them to do.

Huda- oy adi, tu ye kar paayega na?

Aditya- of course, I will do it.

Aalekh- aur phir apun sare intezaam kar lega.

Huda- theek hai to kal subah tak sab kuch ho jana chahiye aur main riya ko convince kar loonga but what about you aalekh?

Aalekh- naina tab tak laut aayegi?

Huda- aur agar wo nahi mani to?

Aalekh- to phir apun plan B par kaam karega.

Aditya- what's plan B?

Aalekh- waqt aane pe bata dega.

Then aditya started the first phase of Huda's plan and huda started the next one. Aalekh was there thinking.

Aalekh(to himself)- agar naina nahi aayee to, apun ko huda ko batana hoga. Lekin kya wo samjhega? Agar nahi bhi samjha to kya firk padta hai? and then he smiled to himself thinking about if he has to carry out Plan B.

It didn't take long for aditya to finish what he was supposed to do. Aditya came back and gave a parcel to aalekh. Aalekh went to faculties' rooms' to finish their plan. On the other hand, Huda went to girls' hostel and knocked @ door.

Riya opened the door, and she asked what huda was doing there @ night.

Huda came in and explained everything to riya. At first riya was reluctant to do what he asked but after lot of trying by huda she did say yes to the plan.

 

 

Back to raj and naina.

Raj- naina, I think I will give you all the files and some details when we get back.

Naina- I don't need it because I already have it.

Raj- what? So it was you that night in my room.

Naina- Of course, who else would do that?

Raj- may be the spy.

Naina- well sorry to disappoint you but it was me.

Raj- well it's a relief that the information is still safe with us. But how did you do that?

Naina- it was so simple and then she told the entire story from beginning how she came in KMA and how others helped her.

Raj- so that means all five of them know who you really are.

Naina- yes, they do.

Raj- and you think that it would be good for them to know about this.

Naina- I trust them completely but if you don't then I won't tell them that you know the truth.

Raj simply looked @ naina that how confident she is about rest of the cadets.

Raj- no, it's ok but still I think you shouldn't tell them about me knowing the truth.

The lesser they know, it was better for them to focus on their studies.

Naina- well yes, you are right.

They spent almost entire night talking about stuff and they both were amazed to know about each other. Well of course, raj was more amazed knowing naina's pranks in academy and other things.

On the other day, Raj and naina both were back in KMA. Although naina came in first and Raj came after an hour of naina's arrival so nobody would suspect. Raj went to his room to take shower and when he came back he heard knock on the door. It was Dr. ritu mishra standing on the door. She was looking beautiful as usual. Raj invited her in, and waited there for her to tell him what's the reason of being her here in the morning.

"So, Captain…" she says, "You've finally come back."

"Yes I have, Dr Mishra," he tells her with surprise. "I was out of town for some work, but why did you ask? Is there anything I can do for you?"

"Yes, I got your letter last night and I thought about it so I am here to give my answer." She told him.

Raj was in complete shock as he didn't know anything about any letter that he wrote to Dr. Mishra.

Raj- what letter? I didn't send anything to you last night. In fact I wasn't here last night.
Ritu stopped him, "It's ok, Captain, there's no need to be ashamed. I liked your way of asking me for the function and I would love to go with you."

Raj was even more confused now because he decided to go to the annual function of KMA ball with Dr. shalini in navin's absence.

But before he could say anything, ritu gave back his letter and went from there smiling.
Raj read the letter, and he was furious. He straight went to Shalini's room and entered without knocking.

Raj- come on shalini? What the hell is this?

Shalini- raj, tum itne gusse mein kyon ho aur kya hua?

Raj- why did you send a letter to Dr. Mishra?

Shalini- what letter?

Raj gave her the letter and shalini read it. She was surprised as she didn't even know where the letter came from.

 

In the letter, raj asked Dr. mishra on a date to accompany him in the function as navin was coming for the function. The letter also said that raj really likes Dr. ritu mishra. He is afraid to ask her personally so he wrote his feelings in that letter.

Shalini- raj, I know that navin is coming but I swear I didn't write this letter. I was about to tell you navin's arrival in the function when you came back.

Raj- then who did this?

"We did", two voices came from behind and raj turned back and he found abhi and nandini standing over there.

 

Raj- You two? But why?

Nandini- kyonki humne socha ki agar tum apni life ke bare mein socho na socho hum soch lete hai.

Raj- but me and Dr. Mishra?

Abhi- now don't be nave, we know that you like her.

Raj- no it's not like that.

Shalini- come on raj, they are right and after all you will need a date for function. Kya pata, iske baad tumhe such main Dr. Mishra se pyar ho jaye. Come on give it a try for us.

Raj reluctantly agreed as he saw that he didn't have any choice left. But suddenly he thought about something that he totally forgot in this mess. It was about navin.

Raj- wait a minute, navin kab aa raha hai?

Shalu- wo sirf function ke liye aa raha hai so he will be here the day before the function and will go the morning after the function.

Raj thought that it means naina couldn't come to the function. He had to tell this to naina before she makes any plan so he excused himself and went to the mess to meet naina. He was feeling totally disappointed because he wanted naina to come to the function more than anything else.
