PART- 19

 

Recap: Raj & naina had to spend the night in the forest and they talked to each other for the entire night. Raj convinces naina not to tell other cadets about him knowing the truth. Huda, aalekh and aditya carried out the plan that abhi and huda made earlier. Raj and naina come back and raj finds out that somebody gave letter to ritu by using his name for annual ball. He yells @ shalini but later finds out that it was abhi & nandini's doing and also that navin is coming for annual ball. Raj is happy yet upset as he knows that naina won't be able to attend the function. He goes to tell naina.

Now

Raj ke kuch samajh nahi aata ki ab wo kya kare....kaise kahega naina se ki naveen yahan pe aa raha hai ….kaisa hoga naina ka reaction?

Raj: {to himself} kaise kahoonga naina se ki naveen aa raha hai, kya hoga uska reaction? Itne mahino ke baad? I know she will be upset but what should I do?

Wo bas sochta hua kamre se nikalta hai aur mess ki aur naina ko dhunte hue jata hai...

In the mess, all cadets were sitting and talking about stuff where aalekh was about to speak to naina, rajveer comes in the mess.

Sare cadets raj ko good morning wish karte hai aur raj bhi unko saamne good morning kehta hai aur phir baad mein wo in 6 cadets ke paas aata hai.

Aalekh- good morning sir.

Raj- good morning cadets, so cadet singh maine suna tha ki aap ke uncle ki tabiyat kuch theek nahi thi, ab kaise hai wo?

Naina- he is fine now sir.

Raj- very good, and he was trying to find a way to talk to naina alone and naina understood that raj wanted to tell her something.

Naina- if you will excuse me sir, I have to meet Brigadier chandok before my class to inform him about my leave.

Raj also understood that naina is going to meet him outside so he said- sure cadet, and then he went to get a cup of coffee. Meanwhile naina came out of the mess and went toward her room. Raj also left after finishing coffee and went to his room and waited for naina to come.

After fifteen minutes, there was a knock on his door. He opened the door and signed naina to come in. She came in and sat on the sofa.

Naina- what's the matter?

Raj- well, I don't know how to say this to you.

Naina- what ever it is just tell me.

Raj- naina, you know there is a KMA annual ball function after a week.

Naina- yes, I know about that so?

Raj- you can't come to that function.

Naina- why not, is there any restriction for undercover officers to not to come in the function?

Raj- It's not time for joke. Actually, navin is coming for the function. He just said that and waited to see expressions on naina's face.

To his surprise, naina didn't look bothered @ all. He thought she at least gets shock but she remained as she was before knowing this.

Raj- naina, are you okay?

Naina- yes, mujhe kya hua hai. I am perfectly fine. I will not come to the function and at least it will give me the time to think about our next plan.

Raj was really worried that why naina isn't giving any reaction like she doesn't care @ all. So he asked her to tell what exactly she is feeling about this news if she ever considered him friend.

Naina just looked up @ raj and then she said- well to tell you the truth, I honestly don't know what I am feeling right now. On one side, I am feeling really sad ki itne mahino ke baad main use dekhoongi phir bhi us se mil nahi paaongi aur uski narazagi kya kam hui hogi, and on the other side I am actually happy that he will be here and at least I have a chance to see him.

Raj: I am sorry about all this naina. Kabhi kabhi mujhe lagta hai such mein meri aur mere parivaar ki wajah se tum ko ye sab zhelna pad raha hai.

Naina: Don't be silly, ek taraf mujh ko apna dost kehte ho aur doosri taraf ye sab baatein karte ho. Waise raj can you do me a favor?

Raj: Haan, naina bolo kya karna hai mujhe?

Naina: well actually, tin mahine pehle bahiya ka birthday tha aur maine unke liye ek present liya tha lekin……. Anyways I know ki tum bhi unko pichle 6 mahino se nahi mile to kya tum unko apni aur se wo present de doge?

Raj: sure naina, waise to maine uske liye present la kar rakha hai but I will give him yours and mine I will give him on his next birthday. Tumne mere ek saal ke present ke paise bacha liye.

Hearing this naina smiled a little and raj was happy as he was able to lighten up her mood. Naina told him that she will give him the present as soon as she gets some time then she left as she was getting late for her class with Captain nandini.

Raj also gets back to his routine work.

Naina came into the class, and there was still five minutes left. She sat next to aalekh.

Aalekh: bahut dair laga di tune, kya keh raha tha wo BC?

Naina: kuch khaas nahi, anyways tum mujhse mess main kuch poochne wale the wo kyat ha?

Aalekh- apun soch raha tha ki kya tu mere saath annual ball pe chalegi? Wo kya hai na apun akela to nahi ja sakta na….

Naina- wo aalekh, us mein ek problem hai?

Aalekh- kya? Kisi aur ke saath ja rahi ho?

Naina- nahi actually main annual function mein aa hi nahi rahi.

Huda heard naina and he screamed- what tu function pe nahi aa rahi lekin kyon?

Other four looked @ naina too but before she could answer Captain nandini came in the class and they had to cut short their conversation to continue later on……..Naina told them she will tell after classes in the evening and everybody agreed as they didn't want to make any fuss.

Later in the day, there were three other classes: one was Dr. shalini's, the other one was Captain abhimanu's and the last one was Captain rajveer's class.

Dr. shalini looked really happy than usual, and all cadets were surprised as she didn't give any big lectures or anything on that day. Naina exactly knew why she was like that. After all she was meeting her boyfriend after months. Naina actually liked the way shalini was waiting for navin's arrival. Naina felt that her brother found a terrific person as his life partner and she knew that they both love each other very much.

After that, there was captain abhimanu's class and he was happy too. Now Huda got impatient as he was annoyed that why is everyone happy @ same day. Pehle captain nandini, phir dr. shalini aur ab ye geet gata banjara bhi.

Huda- lagta hai aaj bahut bada din hai, hamare sare teacher bahut hi khush hai.

Riya- ye to achi baat hai na huda.

Pooja- lagta hai sab ki cell main koi naya sim card laga hai.

Aditya- shayad aap bilkul theek keh rahi hai.

Aalekh- apun ko to ye samaj mein nahi aata ki ye log aaj itne khush kyon hai?

Abhimanu just heard that conversation and he decided to tell them.

Abhimanu- kyonki, hamara ek bahut hi pyara dost academy ke annual function ke liye aa raha hai. He is one of the best pass out cadet of KMA. And then he said a lot of nice things about his friend.

Huda- sir, unka naam kya hai?

Abhimanu- captain navin singh ahaluwalia.

Everybody in the class was enjoying abhi's talk about navin, while all six cadets looked @ each other. All five knew that navin was naina's brother and now they understood the reason that why naina told no for the function. The class was over and it was next captain rajveer's class. There was still 10 minutes left and all five cadets were early in class and naina came in.

Naina- what's up guys? Tum log chup kyon ho?

Aalekh- to is waaste tu function pe nahi aayegi.

Naina- aalekh, it's necessary for me to stay over here without letting them know who I am.

Huda- oy to phir theek hai, hum bhi nahi jayenge. Kya kehte ho dosto?

Aditya- bilkul.

Pooja- mujhe bhi apna connection nahi jodna us party mein apne dosto ke bina.

Riya- I will not go either with out u guys.

Aalekh- apun ne to subah se hi faisla kar liya tha jab se naina ne kaha ki wo nahi ja rahi to apun bhi nahi jayega.

Naina- please guys don't do that because of me. You don't want to miss this function. It's really good and I already attended annual ball @ my academy in my first year. I don't want any of you to miss that.

Aditya- dosto ke bina kaisi masti?

Naina- lekin tum paanch to saath ho na, aur phir I am sure ki tum sab ke jo dates hai unko bura lagega.

Aalekh- kaahi ki, apun tere saath jane wala tha, huda riya ke saath aur ye punjaban aditya ke saath. To party yahan kare ke academy ke bahar baat to ek hi hai na.

Naina- nahi bilkul ek baat nahi hai. She was about to say more to convince them but all other cadets started to come to the class so she kept quite.

In mean time, rajveer came into the class. He looked @ naina and then all other five cadets. Everybody's face was just pale so he understood that naina told them about her not being @ annual ball. He was also feeling bad but there wasn't anything he could do. He continued with his class, and when his class was over, cadets left one by one. Now there were only six of them were remaining. Naina tried to say something but all five left from there leaving naina and raj alone.

Raj- so you told them about navin's arrival.

Naina- actually, I just told them that I will not go to the function. It was captain abhimanu who told the whole class that bhaiya is coming. Bahut khush the wo, lagta hai aap logo ki dosti kaafi gahri hai.

Raj- yep, so what happened to these five?

Naina- zidd le kar baithe hai, ki agar main nahi jaaongi to unme se koi nahi jayega.

Raj- what? Lagta hai aap bhi inki kaafi gehri dost ban chuki hai.

Naina- I think so too. They are younger than me but still I feel like that I am just @ their age.

Raj- well, yeah you are just three years older than them. I don't feel like that because hamare aur cadets ke beech 5 years ka age difference hai.

Naina (mockingly) - yeah, I know you guys are just old.

Raj(smiles)- I don't think we are that old; we are just mature.

Naina- well yeah of course, anyways I should go and convince them before they make any plan to ruin annual ball.

Raj-well then you better hurry up.

Saying that, naina excused herself and raj left there thinking what if he convinces cadets to come. It will be the perfect opportunity to win their hearts. And it would make naina smile too.

He told an orderly something and went to his room. Later at night, while naina was trying to convince her friends but in vain, raj was waiting some people to come. Abhimanu, nandini and shalini came to raj's room and to his surprise, ritu was there with shalini. Raj looked @ ritu and smiled faintly as he didn't want her to be part of this plan. But he couldn't refuse his friends either and he eagerly needed their help. Abhimanu also invited suriji and lolitaji to help raj, although none of them knew why raj called them and what kind of help did he need?

Abhi- bol raj, ab sab aa gaye hai. tujhe koi help chahiye thi na……

Raj- ok then listen, for the annual ball, none of fifth batch cadet is coming.

Nandini- what? Lekin do din pehle to wo log bahut khush the and they were looking forward to it to ab kya hua?

Raj- The problem is that cadet singh is not coming because she wants to go back to visit her family and none of the other wants to come with out her.

Ritu- so it's their wish and their problem. Why should we tense about all that fuss? If they don't come, to function nahi hoga kya? Firk kya padta hai, kaafi students nahi aayenge.

Nobody liked ritu's comment about this matter, and raj was very much annoyed with her comment.

Raj- It's not a fuss Dr. Mishra, those cadets are special and they will be the soul of this function so if they don't come than it wouldn't be as good as it should be.

Ritu didn't say anything looking @ raj's annoyed and angry face. She thought it would be better if she keep it quite and help them.

Shalini- I think raj is right, hum ko kuch karna chahiye.

Suriji- haan lekin hum karenge kya? Unko aane ke liye order to nahi kar sakte na…..

And by hearing suriji's words, raj and abhi got an idea so they both looked at each other and abhi said, "Raj, kyat um bhi wo hi soch rahe ho jo hum soch rahe hai."

Raj answered, "Of course abhi, so let's do that."

Nobody else understood what they were talking about.

Nandini- ab tum log hum ko bhi bataoge ki kya karne wale ho ya bus yun hi……..

Raj- are nahi hum batate hai, then abhi told everybody about the plan. Everybody liked the idea except ritu who wasn't interested in that @ all.

According to the plan, later @ night, nandini went to BC's office.

Nandini- May I come in?

BC- are captain, please come in.

Nandini- yahan pe ek captain apne senior se nahi balki ek beti apne uncle se milne aayee hai.

BC- to phir izzazat lene ki kya zaroorat hai, sirf officers permission lete hai. Apne nahi. Bolo apne uncle se kya kaam pad gaya wo bhi itni raat ko?

Nandini- nothing, it's just bahut waqt ho gaya na aap se baat kiye hue to bas chali aayee. I hope it's ok with you.

BC- of course beta, ye bhi koi poochne ki baat hai. Kaho aur sab kaisa chal raha hai. You like working over here after long time don't you.

Nandini- yes of course, but………………

BC- but what?

Nandini- It's just about this annual function.

BC- yeah, you and other faculty members are arranging it.

Nandini- but I thought, what if this time, we make teams of cadet and a  teacher so they can also participate after all they will learn responsibility.

BC thought what nandini said and he thought it would be a good idea too. But he also had one question that which cadets participate as they are many of those in the first year.

Nandini answered that the teams which came first and second in the first drill. Unfortunately those teams were our five cadets and naina. That was raj and abhi's plan to make them work for the function so they have to be there. Raj also thought about naina's exit from the function.

BC agreed and talked to Major Niar about that. Major Niar was also happy as he wanted those cadets to do some work. So he wrote all their names with the teacher who they were supposed to work with.

Huda paired with Dr. shalini and Aalekh paired with Captain Nandini. On the other side, riya had to work with Dr. ritu and pooja got suriji. Aditya was with abhimanu and naina paired with rajveer. The list was out on the other morning, and Huda and aalekh read it first. They came in the mess.

Huda- oy teri, ab to kisi cheez mein jitna bhi gunah hai?

Riya- kya matlab? Kya hua?

Aalekh- jo team first drill mein jeeti thi, unko teachers ke saath mil kar function organize karna hai.

Pooja- kya, hey rabba ye kaisi sazaa hai.

Aditya- lekin hum to function attend nahi karne wale to phir ye organize kyon kare.

Huda- kyonki ye us muchchad ka order hai.

Naina- well ab to sab ko jana hi padega.

Aalekh- apun tere ko chodega nahi naina, mujhe to lagta hai ye tera hi kiya karaya hai. Tu hi chahti thi na ki hum sab is stupid function mein jaaye.

Naina made some comment and aalekh tried to catch her. Naina ran in the mess.

Naina(running)- dekh aalekh, maine jo kaha sach kaha. Tu kyon mere peeche pada hai, sach ka saamna karna shikh.

Aalekh- sach!!!!, apun tere ko chodega nahi. Tu ek baar haath to aa, aaj tere ko khatam kar daalega.

Everybody else was enjoying the chase as no teacher was around in the mess.

Now naina took an egg while running, and threw @ aalekh. Aalekh was more pissed so he took a jug of water to throw @ naina. He threw the water @ naina but naina was @ door by the time and she collided with raj who was just coming to talk to them and because of water the floor also became slippery and he was on the floor and naina was on top of him.

Aalekh stopped and started laughing, so were all the others. Not only cadets but abhi, shalini and nandini were coming in the mess and they saw the scene @ the door and they also couldn't control their laughter.

Naina was still on top of raj and her eyes were closed and raj was trying to get her off of him as everybody else was around.

Raj- it's ok naina, I think you are safe.

Naina opened her eyes and she was also quite embarrassed. She quickly got up and so did raj.

Naina- I am sorry sir, wo…………….

Raj- It's ok. By the way what were you guys doing?

Aalekh- wo apun naina ka peecha kar raha tha aur aap beech mein aa gaye aur use bacha liya warna wo aaj mere haatho marne wali thi.

Raj was just surprised as how aalekh just simply told him the truth instead of making any excuse.

Abhi- all right, aap inko baad mein mar lena filhaal you guys have to come with us as we have to organize the function.

All five of cadets went with them reluctantly and naina was happy as she figured out that it must be raj's doing.
