Chapter 2

Delhi head quarters:
A lady army officer was working in her office. She seemed very busy. She was checking a file with total concentration. She was none other than Major Naina Singh who was so engrossed in her work. There was a knock on the door.
Naina- Come in...
A handsome male army officer came in and looked at her with annoyance.He is none other than Naina's best friend Colonel Gunraj Randhawa?
Naina looked at him and smiled.
Naina- What happened now Colonel?
Gunraj- It's my dear wife vidya who is pregnant and having mood swings. She called me an hour ago that she wanted to eat something spicy. I ordered her favorite chinese food, but when the food arrived, she was not in mood for spicy and now she wants to eat something sweet. I don't know how can she change her mind in one hour.
Naina- It's called being pregnant and don't worry, you just have to bear six months more...
Gunraj- Tu dost nahi dushman hai... Tujhe mukh ko sahara dena chahiye aur tu meri himmat tod rahi hai...
Naina- Ok, let's take duty... when vidya is in really bad mood, I will go to her.
Gunraj- And why is that?
Naina- Because I won't go alone. I go there with Khushi and seeing her, vidya will not be in bad mood. After all khushi is an angel.
Gunraj- Yeah... wait who is going to watch her today?
Naina- She is with Ali and Pooja... They took her to the park today... She was so excited to go there.
Gunraj- Haan yaar, main soch raha tha ki ab mujhe apne father-in-law se baat karni padegi...
Naina- Kis bare main?
Gunraj- Ali aur Pooja ki shaadi ke bare main... Aur tum Ali ke parents se baat kar lena kyonki wo dono khud to kuch karenge nahi...
Naina- Hmmm... you are right but we will ask them first before we do anything...
Gunraj- Ok deal...
They were talking when a three year old girl came running in the office along with Captain Ali and Lieutenant Pooja...
Gunraj picked her up and started talking to her, "What did my princess do today? Did you have fun?"
Khushi- Yes, Ali chachu & Pooja chachi took me to the park and I ate lot of ice cream there.
Pooja blushed as Khushi called her 'Chachi'...
Ali- Gudiya, who taught you to call your pooja masi, 'Chachi'?
Khushi looked at Gunraj who was smirking at her.
Ali and Pooja looked at Gunraj and knew that he was the one who taught her.
Naina smiled at them.
Naina- Ok khushi beta, why don't you go home with your Pooja "Chachi".... We all will be there in some time....
Khushi came to her and kissed her and left with Pooja...
Ali- You called me here urgently. What is it?
Gunraj- We have a new mission. We are going to Punjab...
Naina- Punjab? But Vidya and her condition?
Gunraj- I know but I can't leave her alone here so I already made some arrangements for us to live there. Since Pooja finished her training, she has three months vacation so she will come with us.
Ali- When are we leaving sir?
Gunraj- After three days, but I still have something to discuss with you two.
Naina- What?
Gunraj- We are not going there alone. Another military team is also coming there.
Ali- Why are you looking tensed sir? We can work with other team.
Gunraj- Here is the file of the officers who are coming.
Both Ali and Naina looked at the file and they both are shocked. Naina looked more shocked than Ali.
Gunraj- Naina, I can call Major General Gaur if you don't want to join us in this mission.
Naina- It's not necessary. I will join you guys...
Both Gunraj and Ali looked at Naina and knew what she was thinking about & why she was worried.
Gunraj- Hey Naina, we won't let them know anything... trust us...
Ali- Yes ma'am, we will make sure that they don't find out until we are there...
Naina- Thanks...

Mumbai:
Abhimanyu & Rajveer called Aalekh,Aditi, Huda and Shikha in the cabin.
Abhi- I called you here because we have a new mission in Punjab and we are leaving in three days. Aditi and Shikha, this will be your first mission with us. I hope you are ready...
Aditi & Shikha- We are sir..
Rajveer- We are going there undercover so we are all going as civilians and one other team is joining us.
Everyone left after a briefing and both Abhi and Raj were in the office alone...
Abhi- Raj, you do know who is coming?
Raj- I do, and Abhi promise me, you won't say anything...
Abhi- But Raj, it wasn't your fault.
Raj- I don't want her to know. And please tell Nandini that she won't say anything either.
Abhi- All right. Is Ritu coming?
Raj- Yes she is.
Abhi left from there and after an hour, Raj also went to his house. Shikha wasn't home as she and Aditi went to their friend's house.
Ritu was packing her bag when Raj entered the room. Ritu called out to him but he didn't say anything. He took his clothes from closet and headed to the bath room. After freshing up, he came in the room. He called out servant for a cup of coffee.
The servant came with coffee and he sat there drinking.
Ritu- Why are we going to Punjab?
Raj- There is some official work and every one is going but if you don't want to come, then you can stay here.
Ritu- No, I will come with you.
Raj- Ok...
Ritu- Colonel varma's wife called today. She invited us to a party tomorrow night for their anniversary.
Raj- You go ahead... I can't come as I have some work.
Ritu(angrily)- I always go alone to every party. You always have work. You never come with me unless it's an official military party. You don't even talk to me... damn it... I am your wife... I deserve some time and attention from you, but you never think about me. After four years of our marriage, we couldn't even become friends. You still think about her. She is still between us.
Raj(yelled)- Please, I said I am sorry that I can't come to the party, and the truth is, 'you can't let me forget anything.'
Raj finished his coffee and left the room. He stood in the balcany for some time and then he took his car keys out and left the house.
Abhi and Nandini were discussing about going to Punjab and everything else when there was a knock on the door. Abhi opened the door and found Raj there.
Raj greeted Nandini and left to a room where a three year old boy was playing. Karan looked at his Raj chachu and he was happy to see him.
Karan- Raj chachu, aap kal kahan pe the? I waited for you but you didn't come and you didn't call either.
Raj(holding his ear)- Sorry buddy, but I had some work but I promise that I won't do it again... ab to maaf karo.
Karan(smiled)- Maaf kiya...
He hugged him and they started playing. Raj & Karan teamed up and started playing pranks on Abhi while Abhi enjoyed his friend and his son's tricks.
After sometime, Nandini served dinner and Karan sat on Raj's lap and Raj started feeding him. After the dinner, Raj put Karan to sleep and came back to the living room where Nandini was sitting alone.
Raj- Abhi kahan hai?
Nandini- He was tired so he went to sleep...
Raj- main bhi chalta hoon..
Nandini- Raj, mujhe tum se kuch baat karni hai.
Raj sat there and waited for Nandini to talk.
Nandini- Why are you doing this? You need to make decision Raj, you can't live like this your entire life...
Raj sat in silence.
Nandini- Do you still love Naina?
Raj looked up to her but didn't answer her.
Nandini- Do you have any feelings for Ritu?
Raj- She is my wife and she is my responsibility.
Nandini- That's not an answer to my question...
Raj- I don't have any answer for you..
Nandini- Raj, tum is liye apne aap ko takleef de rahe ho kyonki tumne Naina ko sach nahi bataya or Ritu se shaadi ki lekin wo tumne majboori main kiya. Aur agle teen din mein tum Naina se phir miloge poore char saal ke baad. Main sirf itna chahti hoon ki agar wo apni zindagi main aage badh gayee ho or khush ho to tum bhi apne aap ko maaf kar doge and you will try to move on... Can you do this for yourself? It will make us happy too...
Raj- I will try...
On his way back to his house, Raj kept thinking.
Raj(to himself)- Char saal ho chuke hai... Main ye janta hoon Naina ki main tumhe bhoola nahi paaya aur na hi kabhi bhoola paoonga because I love you and I will always love you. You were my first love and you will be in my heart until I die, but i wish ki tumne mujhe bhoola diya ho because you deserve to be happy. I hope that you will found someone who love you and give you every happiness you deserve.

wow yaar, loved the part,,,especially the leap...i'm rather confused about who's daughter khushi is but i'm sure you'll clear it up soon. btw this is not going to be a tragedy is it? plz plz plzzzz say no!!!

hey the story seems very interesting, but please don't make the story tragic. RN should be one at the end. ek lrl kafi tha humare lie. please ab isse tragic maat banana. i hope there will be a way to make RN one. that ritu does not deserve him.
