He wondered why Sahil and Kripa were together. He was disturbed by his thoughts, when someone from behind called his name. He turned around to see who and saw Priya.

Priya- Angad, Monica is here to see you

A- Monica?......ohhh Monica, what's she doing here?

Priya- Well, she's here to meet you

A- right....erm I'm coming

Angad saw Priya walk away. Before Angad could walk, he felt someone grab his arm. He looked back and saw Kripa.

K- Angad, tell me what's going on in your head right now?

A- .....nothing at all Kripa

K- Right, that's why you said "I should have knocked"

A- Well...it's true, I should have

K- Angad stop this! I can't play this game as well as you can, so just tell me what your thinking, so we can get this over with!

A- Why were you in Sahil's room, especially when you know I don't like him he doesn't like me, we don't get along, and he's nothing but----

K- Because we were talking about the real reason you two don't get along

A- What?

K- Yes, you never believed him because you chose to believe your ex-girlfriend, right?

A- Kripa, I've known Monica since we were kids, trust me, she didn't lie

K- You've known Sahil since you were babies, you think he lied?

A- I never said that, I just think he's done the biggest mistake of his life by loving Pia, because she betrayed him

K- And your saying all this because your ex-girlfriend said so and you trust her more than the whole world, right?

A- Kripa......just don't get into all this, alright?

K- Fine......but Angad, if you can't even believe the guy you've been raised with, then why do you expect me to believe any word that comes out of your mouth, especially if we've only met a month or so ago

A- Fine, don't believe me, happy?

K- You never want to face anything, as long as I've known you you've always ....... "worked around the corners"

A- And as long as I've known you, you always find the whole world right instead of me

K- That's because you never give me a chance to trust you

A- Look, I get the point you don't love me and your doing me a favor by staying with me, but don't say I never gave you a "chance" because ever since we've met we've had nothing but "chances" to know each other

K- Oh really? Well, if me finding out you were undercover and all your emotions were fake just to show the world some story is what you want me to base me trust on you, then you fail

A- That's how you think of it---

K- Then how do you think of it?!

A- If I had never done that story then we would have never met, we wouldn't even know the other exists, and if I had never met you then.......forget it

Kripa had never seen things through his perspective, but it was true. She couldn't imagine her life without him. If they had never met then she would have never fell in love, she would have never been pregnant with child that she couldn't wait to hold, she would have never met him, she would have never met Naina and Dev, the two people who she considered as her own parents.

K- Angad, I can't imagine my life-----

Before Kripa could continue a girl came between them and wasted no time in hugging Angad, almost as if she owned him.

Girl- ANGAD! Oh my goodness, I've missed you so much!

A- Monica,.....how've you been?

Mon- How do you think I could be without you sweety?

Angad gave her an awkward smile and backed off.

A- By the way, this is Kripa.....my wife

Monica looked at Kripa then a disgust face, she then gave a fake smile to her to cover it up in front of Angad.

Mon- Angad, your.....married.......to....erm.......her?

A- Yeah, and Kripa this is Monica

K- ....Nice to meet you

Mon- uhhggg yeah, nice to meet you too......

A- So what brings you here?

Mon- You of coarse, I left all my work and came here as soon as I found out you were in town and let me tell you, you still look hot.

A- thanks

Mon- But Angad, you look........tired and.....weaker, anything wrong?

A- erm no, not really

Mon- Ok, if you don't want to tell me then I'll find out myself. By the way, I'm spending the night here, so we can talk all night!

A- oh......cool

Later that evening Angad came in the room. Kripa watched him get their suitcases out of the closet.

K- What are you doing?

A- Packing, we have to go home some time, dont we

K- Yeah, but.......don't you want to stay a couple of more days, I mean, at least till your dad gets better

A- No one wants me here........I don't want to be a burden on anyone and I'll never let you be a burden on anyone either...

K- I don't know about me, but your not a burden on anyone. This is your house as much as anyone else who lives here, but it's your choice to think of it as your own or not.

A- ............I've grown up here, I have all my memories with this house---

Angad smiled.

A- Your right, this is my house too

K- I'm glad you realize that

A- Yeah, thanks once again, you've always helped me, I'm sorry I could never come to any use to you

Angad gave a smile, but Kripa could tell there was pain behind it, he quietly turned around and went to sleep. It wasn't true, he had done a lot for her, so much she couldn't name.

A- Kripa, I talked to my dad, you know, he really does love me....more than I ever imagined.

K- That was really sweet what he did for you

A- yeah, I know.

K- ...your lucky.....to have such a great family

A- I know, even though I realized it late, I know that now, but I feel bad for Karan and Rohit bhaiya, I mean they're stuck with Priya and Maya bhabhi their whole lives

Kripa laughed along with him.

K- You never know, I mean you might be stuck with someone worse than them

A- I doubt it

K- well, say you get stuck with......Monica, than?

A- Than what? She's a great girl, she'd be a good mother for our child, and a fantastic wife

Angad saw Kripa's face turn into a jealous one. He smiled, he had no idea his joke would make her this jealous.

K- Why would she be my child's mother when I'm here, huh?

A- Well if we get married, she'd be our child's step mom right?

K- NO! You can marry whoever you'd like and allow her to be your "fantastic wife", but leave my kid out of this, got it?!

A- Kripa, relax I was joking, you know what a joke is, right?

K- hmm, I know what a joke, but aren't jokes supposed to make you laugh, Angad, I'm not laughing.

A- You want to laugh, then, okay

Angad gently grabbed Kripa by the waist and started tickling her. Kripa laughing like she hadn't laughed for so long. Angad finally let her go. When Kripa caught her breathe, she crossed her arms and looked at Angad.

K- What was the need for that?

A- I hadn't heard you laugh in so long, I love it when you laugh

K- I can never understand you

A- Good, because life should be full of surprises, you should never know what anyone will do next, now I'm getting sleepy too

K- .....I thought you and your Monica were supposed to talk "all night"

A- I told her I was tired and finally got away

K- oh........I know I have no right to ask this but.......why'd you guys break up?

A- nothing much, I just didn't see the relationship going anywhere, so I ended it.

Kripa whispered under her breathe- are we going anywhere?

Angad still heard it. He knew he would never end this relationship unless Kripa wanted to end it. He would never leave her alone unless she wanted it.

 

Kripa heard someone knock on the door. She looked at the time, it read 6:00. She shook Angad, who even in more deep sleep than her.

A-murmuring- what

K- someone's at the door

A- that's nice

K- what's nice? go and open the door

A- you go

K- angad please

A- ....pss, fine

Angad got up and walked to the door. He was sure he was going to kill the person who was at the door. Once he opened it, he saw Monica there, with a big long smile on her face.

Mon- Good morning babe!

Once Kripa heard that loud voice, she sat up in her bed.

A- did you need something?

Mon- No stupid, but I'm here to tell you to get ready, I'm taking you out for breakfast

A- It's ...six o clock in the morning

Mon- I know, but it takes you a long time to get ready, so I had to wake you up now

A- Monica, .......we'll go out for dinner, not breakfast, you see, .....erm.......I'm not feeling too well---

Mon- WHAT! Do you want me to go get you some medicine or juice or---

A- no, I'll be fine

Mon- Where's Kripa

A- I'm pretty sure she's sleeping

Mon- Sleeping? How could she be sleeping while your ill, does that girl have any sense at all?

A- I'll go knock some sense in her, you go

Mon- ........fine, take care

Angad shut the door and got in bed again.

K- i don't see how anyone can be so annoying

A- tell me about it

Lunch:

K- Where's Sahil?

M- Why are you so concerned about Sahil these days?

K- What do you mean?

M- oh nothing, he's at work

K- hmm

Karan- So Angad, why don't you give me your address and I'll have your stuff shifted here

A- Bhai---

Maya- But bhaiya, ...wouldn't it be hard for Angad and Kripa to start new here-----

Kar- But it'll be worth it, won't it Angad?

A- of coarse bhai, but Kripa and I haven't talked about it, so........we need time

Kar- I understand, take your time

Naina- There wouldn't be more happiness for me than having Angad, Kripa, and my grandchild here

A- Maa, please, don't cry

N- Than what else I supposed to do

K- Mom, Angad's right, please don't cry, whatever will happen will happen for good, right

N- Is there anything I can say to make you guys stay?

Angad looked at Kripa and back at his mom.

A- Mom, we're here now, so lets make the best out of this

N- I'm going to go check on Dev, excuse me

Naina got up and left.

M- Sorry about her Angad, mom doesn't understand how hard it is to shift your whole lifestyle, I mean from that two bedroom apartment to this luxurious mansion

Rohit- Maya, that house is Angad's and so is this, so it really doesn't matter where he stays, besides this house is more Angad's than yours. And you may not know this, but Angad left this mansion himself, so it should be obvious he's not thirsty for money

M- whatever you say

R- Angad, Kripa, I hope you two have learned not to take Maya's comments seriously

Priya- Rohit, calm down, I'm sure she was just joking

N- DEV!

Everyone instantly ran upstairs upon hearing Naina's scream. When they reached the room they saw Naina sitting by Dev. Angad walked over to Dev and to feel his heart race, he felt shocked when the heartbeat was slowly decreasing.

A- Dad, your going to be ok, we're going to take you to the hospital----

D- It's too late Angad

N- Don't be silly Dev, your going to be okay, we just need to get you treatment---

D- i love you Naina and always will. And Karan this family is your responsibility now, your strong and I'll know you'll pull through. Priya Maya, I know I don't have to say this, but take care of Naina after I'm gone.

Right then Sahil walked in the room.

Sahil- Uncle---

D- Sahil, you've been more than a son to me, the only thing I want now is for you and Angad to get along, which I know might take time, but be sure to one day clear out your differnces.

S- Dev uncle......

D- Kripa, your new to this family, I hope they've given you the love and affection you deserve. Your young, but I've seen maturity in you that most grownups even lack. I don't know about others, but I can say without doubt that you and Angad are in love and can never be separated.---

Angad had tears in his eyes.

A- I just got you back dad, you can't leave yet and ....and you still have to see and hold my child dad, you can't leave, please don't go

D- Angad, I wish I could stay longer but--- anyways, give my grandchild all the love in the world, understand?

Angad nodded. He couldn't take anymore and left the room.

Dev's eyes closed after he couldn't manage to breathe anymore. His funeral took place the next day. Everyone was depressed, but Angad was shattered. He felt guilty of leaving home and wasting all these years away from his dad, but he didn't cry after his father's death, he wanted to be strong.

Kripa walked into the living room and saw Angad sitting alone lost in his thoughts. She went and sat next to him and put her hand on his.

K- Angad, I can relate to your pain, I mean my dad died when I was a kid.......and all I would wish was to talk to God and plead him to give me my dad back......., but life doesn't work like that...........I cried my eyes out for weeks, it helps.

A- Kripa, ...I really just want to be alone for a bit

K- .........hmm

Kripa was about to get up to leave but Angad gabbed her arm to stop her and quickly hugged her. He couldn't help but crying his eyes out. Kripa didn't know how long she sat there with him, but she was glad he was lightening his heart.

Later that day Angad and Kripa went to check on Naina.

A- mom........

N- Angad, Kripa, come in

A- mom im most worried about you---

N- don't be Angad, i'll be fine, he's gone but our love hasn't died.......anyways, if I ask for something from you two, .....will you give it to me?

A- of coarse mom

N- The only thing I'll ever ask you in life is don't go Angad, stay here, I need you this family needs you---

A- but mom---

N- I know what your thinking Angad, I'm selfish, but please stay, I'll get the world's happiness if you two stay, Kripa you tell him please stay

Kripa looked at Angad looking back at her. She knew he would never stay without her consent. She couldn't separate a mother from her son.

K- We'll stay mom

A- Kripa--

K- We'll stay Angad

N- ohhhhhh thank you!

Naina hugged both Angad and Kripa.

Angad smiled at Kripa mouthing "thank you" to her.

Three Months Later

Kripa had a stomach now. She was about four or five months pregnant now. Angad started writing articles again. He went to his new office in the morning and would return at evening. During this time, Kripa would spend her time doing some on-line classes or talking to Sahil, who she was good friends with now. Sahil and Angad still barely spoke. Monica wouldn't come to the house because she would meet Angad at his magazine house. Monica annoyed Kripa but Kripa didn't say anything to Angad, she didn't want to show him she was jealous. Angad hadn't decided what to do with the money his father left him, and he didn't think about it much either. Priya and Maya still disliked Angad and Kripa.

Kripa watched Angad come to the dining table, but was surprised to see Monica on his side.

Priya- Hey Monica

Mon- Hello Priya, how are you?

P- Good and you?

Mon- Great, as always!

Maya- It's nice seeing how good of friends you and Angad are, ....right Kripa?

K- .....hmm

Maya- But unfortunately not as good friends as Angad and Sahil

Sahil- Bhabhi, why do you care who's friends with who? Anyways, if we're done with this conversation can we start dinner?

Angad and Monica sat down. Everyone started eating.

N- Angad tomorrow is Kripa's check-up, so be sure to come early tomorrow

Mon- But Angad is supposed to come to my house to meet my dad tomorrow

A- I totally forget Monica, I'm sorry---

Mon- But we've had this planned for---

Karan- Monica, Angad can meet your dad another day

Mon- But Kripa can go with someone else too can't she?

Rohit- Calm down Monica, Angad has made his desicion

A- I'll meet your dad another day

Mon- .....fine

N- Good

Priya- Shweta, be a good girl and eat your vegetables

Shweta- I don't like them mama

Priya- But don't you want to be healthy and strong

Shweta- .......i guess so

Angad- If you finish your vegetables then I'll take you out for ice cream afterwards

Sh- Really Chachu!

A- Yes, but finish your vegetables

Sh- Ok!

Priya- I should have known that was the only way she would have ate them, thanks Angad

A- No problem bhabhi

Naina- Kripa honey, your really quiet, anything wrong?

K- huh, oh no mom

N- ok

After dinner everyone went their separate ways. Monica left.

A- Kripa let's go for ice cream

K- .....you go Angad, I don't feel like it

A- Come on, how can you not feel like ice cream

Shweta- Please chachi!

K- .........ok

Shweta- Yay! We're going out for ice cream!

At the ice cream parlor Shweta was busy with her ice cream.

A- Kripa, why are you so quiet?

K- I just don't feel like talking and nor do I have anything to say to anyone

A- ok, now I know your mad, did I do something?

K- No Angad, how can you do something wrong, your just a saint!

A- at least let me know what i did?

K- nothing, just forget it please

Shw- I'm done!

K- hun, let's go the restroom, ill help you wash your hands

Sh- Ok

After reaching home Kripa went straight to bed. She wondered why Angad would have to meet Monica's dad. She wondered how he could even be friends with such a person. Kripa heard her cell phone ring, she quickly picked it up when she saw Alliya's name pop up on the screen.

K- Hey alliya

Al- Kripa! How are you my darling?

K- good, how are you and hows college?

Al- boring of coarse. Anyways how big is your stomach now, hmm?

K- very big

Al- Awwww! I bet Angad is taking full care of you and doesn't let you be along for even a second

K- Something like that

Al- Kripa remember that time I told you to look for a boy for me

K- ......yeahh

Al- And you said yeah

K- ........yeahhh

Al- Well......don't

K- Why, did you find someone!

Al- ......sort of.

K- oh my gosh, who!

Al- I won't tell you yet, I'll tell you when we meet, besides I don't really know where things are going right now, so I'll tell you when I'm more sure of the relationship

K- Oh my god Alli, are you serious about him?

Al- yes, but .......I'll tell you everything in full detail when you come to London, ok?

K- ...alright

Al- So hows Angad?

K- fine I guess

Al- What happened, you sound low?

K- I don't know...., theres this girl Monica......she likes Angad, loves Angad to tell the truth

Al- That *****

K- I don't know if Angad loves her too, I mean they spend a lot of time together and.....I don't know.....

Al- Kripa, don't worry, Angad loves you and only you, and your worried because you love Angad too

K- Alliya your too much! Anyways, I'll call you back later, I'm tired

Al- Ok, good night and take care of the little one

K- bye Alliya, and you take care of yourself too

Kripa hung up and put her cell phone away. She saw Angad come in the room. She saw him get go the bathroom and change his clothes. He then came towards the dresser and took off his watch. Not once did he look at her and without looking he sat down by the desk in the corner and got on his laptop.

K- Angad......

A---------------

K- Angad, Angad

A---------------

K- I know you can hear me Angad

A- What is it?

K- I just wanted to say you don't have to go with me tomorrow, it's just a check up,..... I can manage.....

A- What are you talking about, why wouldn't I want to go?

K- ...Well........wouldn't you rather meet Monica's----

A- come on Kripa, it's not like I had to meet him to go ask for Monica's hand in marriage or anything

Angad laughed at his own comment.

A- I just had to talk to him about some business stuff, nothing important

K- ....So your ok with going to the doctor with me

A- Of coarse, I mean it's my responsibility as much as yours to go, anyways was this the reason you were upset?

Before Kripa could respond there was a knock on the door. Kripa got up to go open it.

She saw Sahil there.

K- Hey Sahil

S- Sorry for disturbing you so late

K- not at all, anything important?

S- Actually I was just wondering if you had someone to go with you to the doctor, because if Angad is busy then I have no problem taking you

Before Kripa could say anything she saw Angad come to the door and respond.

A- don't worry Sahil, I can take care of my wife

S- I'll see you tomorrow Kripa

K- Goodnight Sahil

Angad closed the door.

K- Why'd you have to be so rude to him?

A- I wasn't rude, but why the heck did he have to come here and ask, even if I couldn't go with you, I would never send you with him, I can't even believe your friends with that man

K- Angad I can't believe your saying all this, epically when you yourself were once friends with him! Besides, who are you to decide who I go with, I'm not your wife nor do you own me, understand!

A- You know what, there's no point in ever talking to you, so better we just keep to ourselves from now on, ok?

K- If you feel that way then it's fine with me too!

4 MONTHS LATER

Kripa was due for delevery any day now, so she was admitted in the hospital.. Everyone was excited to the extreme, espically Angad. Kripa and Angad only talked when necessary, due to even more misunderstandings of Angad and Monica ,and Kripa and Sahil.

Kripa's labor pains started. Naina and Sahil were with her at the hospital, but Kripa wanted Angad by her side.

K- Mama, where's Angad?

N- He's at work, I just called him honey, he should be here any moment, you relax

When twenty minutes later Angad still wasn't there, Naina went outside and told Sahil to call him.

Sahil got his cell out and called Angad, but it wasn't Angad that picked up, it was Monica.

Sahil- Monica can you give Angad the phone?

Mon- Sahil, Sahil we got into a car accident, Angad is being taken the hospital, I'm scared Sahil

S- What! Oh my gosh, what hospital?

Mon- It's a private hospital, St. Mary's

S- That's where we're at too, are you alright?

Mon- Yeah, I just have some scratches, I'm worried about Angad, I'll be there soon too

S- ok, bye

Naina- What happened Sahil?

Sahil- Chachi, Angad and Monica got into a car accident, Monica is fine, but Angad, I don't know, he's being brought here

Naina- What Sahil? How, oh my gosh, go check if he's here

Sahil- Ok chachi, but don't tell Kripa, she'll be under too much stress

N- ....your right, you go Sahil, I'll call Karan and Rohit

S- yeah

Sahil went and checked on what room Angad was. He found out and went there.

Sahil- Doctor, hows Angad, I'm his cousin?

Doc- I see, we stopped the bleeding on his head, he's unconscious right now, but he'll be fine

S- Look, his wife is in labor, she wants him by her side, how long till he gains consciousness back?

Doc- Look, right now we're still working on him, I don't know how long.

The doctor left. Sahil went back by Kripa's room.

Karan- Good your here Sahil, how's Angad?

S- He got hurt on the head, they've stopped the bleeding and he should be fine, but he's still unconscious.

Rohit- Take me there, Maya you stay with mom and Kripa

Maya- Sure

Priya- I'll stay here too

Kar- Ok, lets go Karan

They left.

Naina- What will I say to Kripa

Priya- Say he went to go pick her a present

Naina- Yeah, that'll work

Naina went inside the room.

K- mama, has Angad came yet?

N- Honey, how could he come here without ballons and a gift, he said he'll be here soon, don't worry

K- .......

After a while, Kripa gave birth to a baby.

Doctor- Congratulations, you've given birth to a beautiful baby boy

Kripa smiled as the doctor handed her her baby.

K- hello handsome

He was so cute. The first thing she noticed about him was his blue eyes. She wondered how that happened.

K- Blue eyes? Your daddy doesn't have blue eyes and nor does your mommy, so how'd you get them? hmm?

Kripa smiled.

Naina came in with the family.

K- Mama, has Angad came yet?

Naina couldn't lie to Kripa any longer.

Priya took the baby out of Kripa's hands.

Naina- Actually......Kripa honey, Angad......Angad.....

K- Where's Angad mom?

N- He's here....but.......

Maya- Kripa, Angad is in another hospital room. He was coming here with Monica, when they got in a car accident. He's fine but still unconscious.

K- What?! Mom, she's......shes lying right, Angad is fine right, Sahil you tell me, Angad is on his way right?

Sahil- Maya's right.......but don't worry, he's fine now

K- oh my gosh, I want to see him.

Kripa got up out of bed.

Priya- What are you doing, you need rest---

K- I have to meet Angad

Naina- But honey---

Sahil- Fine Kripa, come I'll take you

Kripa went to Angad's room. She saw Monica, Karan, and Rohit outside the room.

K- Karan bhaiya, Angad---

Kar- He's still unconscious

K- I....I want to still see him

Mon- What don't you understand, he's still uncon---

Kar- Sure Kripa

Kripa went inside. She saw his forehead band aided and wrapped. She went and sat next to him.

K- Angad.....how could you do this, you were supposed to be with me today, not here. Wake up, dont' you want to see your son. Ang-----

Right then something hit her. Kripa got up and went outside. She saw the whole family there, this was her chance to tell them the truth.
