Part 8 - Gearing up for Sangeet

After their photoshoot, the family had lunch together.. then after half an hour of rest, they started getting ready..
But the bride and groom were so excited, that despite a tiring photoshoot in the morning, they didn't even rest for a second, they started getting ready immediately after lunch..

Devika was chilling in Anu's room, while Anu ran around the room getting her outfit, jewellery make up ready..and Mukku was chilling in Anuj's room, who was just pacing the room getting his clothes ready.. and worrying about his dance steps..

Mukku called Devika..
Devika:"Hello..bol Mukku"
Mukku:" Yaar main na bohot bore ho rahi hun.. bhai bas yahan se wahan chakkar laga raha hai ek second ka rest nahi kiya iss bande ne isko dekh ke main thak jaungi"
Devika:" Haan yaar.. ye Anu bhi na.. aise hi kar rahi hai.. lunch ke baad ek minute baithi bhi nahi hai.. isse dekh ke mujhe chakkar aa raha hai"
Mukku:" Toh chalo na hum dono mere room me jaake kinjal ke saath chill karte hain thodi der.. phir ready hojayenge"

Devika agreed and left Anu's room..
Mukku left Anuj's room
GK was with Bapuji and Mamaji..

So maan were alone in their rooms..

Anuj decided to go to Anu's room since she was alone..
He went to her room and was about to knock when he saw that the door was slightly ajar.. he opened the door without making noise and smiled, seeing his Anu facing the mirror, trying out her jewellery..

He slowly walked up to her.. she was surprised when she saw him in the mirror.. and she blushed looking at his smirk and slow, deliberate steps.. he came up to her and stood behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his chin on her shoulder, he lovingly watched her in the mirror..

Anu:" Aap yahan kyu?"
Anuj:" Maine socha tum thak gayi hogi subhe se baar baar kapde change karke.. toh main zara help kardu" and winked at her
Anu blushed a deep red as her jaw dropped open at this remark from her besharam bholuram..
She hit his arm which was wrapped around her waist, and tried to get out of from his grip

Anu:" Chodiye ne Anu"
Anuj didn't reply, he just tightened his grip as much as he could without hurting her and nuzzled his nose at the side of her neck..

Anu felt a current of pleasure run through her.. as she slowly whispered.."Anooj"

Anuj placed his cheek against hers, his stubble tickling her

Anuj:" Hmm"
Anu:" Anuj jaiye ne aap bhi taiyaar ho jaiye, hume der ho jaayegi.. sangeet mera favorite function hai ne.."
Anuj:" Anu rehne do na.. tumhe chod ke jaane ka mann nahi kar raha"
Anu:" Anuj aapke bina toh mera bhi mann nahi lagta..par ab bas 2 din aur.. parso toh humaari shaadi hai ne.."
Anuj's smile widens..
Anuj:" Mujhe toh abhi bhi believe nahi ho raha ki yeh sapna nahi sach hai"
Anu smiles and pinches his hand..
Anu:" Ab hua yakeen?"
Anuj yelps and leaves her... Anu starts laughing
Anuj:" Accha ji.. ab dekho main sangeet me sabke saamne iska badla lunga..sabke saamne stage pe tumhaare saath romance karunga"
Anu:😳😳
Anuj turns her around, leans forward and kisses her neck, making her gasp, winks at her
Anuj:" Taiyyar rehne meri jaan"
And smirking, walks out of the door
Anu smiles to herself, and starts getting ready..  but her mind and heart were still thinking about Anuj.. she could still feel his touch on her arms, face, waist.. she wondered what he was planning to that evening..
Thinking about all this.. her mind wandered to  their sangeet rehersals..
As they were practising their couple dance, they had held hands, touched each other, hugged each other multiple times..
She recollected how each touch of his made her blush as if it was the first.. how she would be out of breath every now and then- not because of the dance, but because of his proximity.. 
She blushed even more as she recollected that one incident.. after their family group dance rehersal, as she had walked up to a table to drink water, Anuj had followed her and stood in front of her.. trapping her in between the table and himself..
Anu:" Kya hai"
Anuj:" Kise"
Anu:" Aapko"
Anuj:" Mujhe... tumse pyaar hai"
Anu:" Pata hai.. par abhi yahaan pura parivar hai"
Anuj, raising his eyebrow:" Toh tum batao kaha chalna hai"
Anu:" Mujhe jaana hai.. Mukku aur Devika ka dance choreograph karne.. aap hatiye"
Anuj:" Nahi hata toh"
Anu:" Toh main chillaungi"
Anuj:" accha, kaise?"
Anu, screams:" BAPUJIIII"
Anuj is scared and quickly steps aside..
Bapuji:" Kya hua Anu beta?"
Anu:" Kuch nahi main puch rahi thi aapko paani du?"
Looking at Anuj, she laughs and runs away..

While thinking about all this.. Anupama realised she had accidentally picked up nailpaint instead of eyeliner.. she hit her head lightly and said to herself, " Pagal Chokri, abhi thodi der Anuj ke baare me sochna bandh karne.. jaldi jaldi taiyaar hoja warna der hojayegi"

Meanwhile, Anuj was lost is similar thoughts too.. as he was buttoning up his kurta, he was thinking about their dance rehersals too..

After Anu had run away to choreograph Mukku and Devika, the others had left for home as it was getting quite late.. only the 4 of them were left in Anu's Dance Academy, where they all were practising. As she showed them the steps and danced with them to  "Chunari Chunari" he looked on..

🎶Aaja na chule meri chunari sanam
Kuch na main bolu tujhe meri kasam
Aayi jawaani sar pe mere
Tere pe kya karu jawaani pe rehem🎶

As Anu danced to these lines, she looked at Anuj, teasing him..
And Anuj smiled at this bold version of his girl..

This was noticed by the two ladies, and them being them, could not leave the chance to tease them..
Mukku:" Bhabhiiiiiii.. hume sikhao na dance.."
Devika:" Haan.. hum dono ko jaldi jaldi dance sikhade phir hum chale jaayenge.. phir tum dono yahaan dance, romance jo karna hai karlena"

Anu and Anuj blushed  and Anu concentrated on the dance.. and Anuj, on his Anu
After learning  their dance steps, Devika and Mukku decided to go to Anu/Anuj's apartment and spend some time with Anu's mom till the two lovebirds came home.. and  spend the night there itself..

As they left.. and Anu saw them off at the door.. before she turned around, she felt a pull on her pallu.. she hurriedly closed the door

Anu:" Anuj.. ye aap kya .."
Anuj:" Tumhi ne toh kasam di se chunari chune ki.. ab chunari toh hai nahi.. pallu hi sahi.."
He gently tugged at the pallu.. and Anu turned around, blushing..
Anu:" Aap bhi na"
Anuj:" Mai bhi kya"
Anu:" Anoooj mujhe chidhaye mat ne"
Pouting and blushing.. she went and hid her face in his chest.. and smiling, he lovingly enveloped her in his embrace..
As they slowly parted.. Anu saw Anuj's forehead was covered with sweat, and his white shirt was completely  drenched too.. sticking to his body.. and she was sweating too.. owing to the dance practise they all had together before the two girls had left..
She wiped his face using her pallu.. and he wiped hers using his handkerchief..
Anu:" Chaliye.. ab ghar chalte hain.. mujhe bohot garmi ho rahi hai mujhe saree badalni hai"
Anuj:" hmm.. waise.. tum kaho toh main madat kardu?"
Anu:" Aap aaj kal bohot besharam hogaye hain"
Anuj:" Apni honewaali biwi ki madat karne me kaisi sharam? Accha chalo koi baat nahi.. tumhe madat nahi chahiye toh kam se kam shirt badalne me meri madat toh kar hi sakti ho na.. main bohot thak gayi hu"
Anu:" Bas Anoooj.. bohot mazaak hogaya chaliye ne.. ek toh mujhe bohot bhook bhi lagi hai"
Anuj murmuring to himself:" Main mazaak nahi kar raha tha..main toh serious tha"
Anuj, to Anu:" Accha chalo ghar main tumhaare liye kuch bana dunga
Anu:" Aap kyu.. aap bhi toh thak gaye hain ne"
As they were quarreling over this.. Anu's phone rang- It was Devika ..she picked it up and put it on speaker
Anu:" Hello"
Devika:" Kaha ho tum dono... yahaan aunty (Anu's mom) ne khaana bana ke rakha hai.. hum wait kare yaa khatam karde khana? Agar tum dono date pe jaane waale ho toh?"
Anuj:" Nahi Devika hum nikal hi gaye hain bas jaldi se aate hain.."
They both locked up the academy, took an auto, and went home.. all the way, they were holding hands.. Anu had rested her head on his shoulder, and he had rested his head on it..

The ringing of his phone interrupted his thoughts... it was Mukku, wanting to know whether he was ready.. he said he was.. and cut the call..

Anuj thought to himself.. that day and today too, he'd asked Anu the same thing, whether he could help her get ready.. and smiled.. that day, they were practising for the sangeet...and today, was their sangeet...

He looked at himself in the mirror one last time.. he was looking super handsome in a golden kurta and off- white pyjama

Anu was ready too, in a royal blue lehenga with0 golden embroidery and golden jewellery

As they all left their respective rooms, while everyone was excited, Anuj was nervous too, because he didn't want to forget any steps or do anything that would spoil even a moment of this evening.. which was so special for his Anu..
There were 2 people who were looking forward to the function the most- One, was Anupama, as it was another one of her dreams come true, and the second was Samar..

Samar thought to himself :" Aaj mummy ko main surprise dunga.. Iss surprise se toh puri family bohot khush hogi.. par sabse zyada mummy... aur unke saath Anuj ji bhi" as they all headed towards the huge open lawn garden where the sangeet was supposed to be held..
