Sh: (seriously) mujhe uss din ke baare koi baat nhi karni….aaj bhi teri uss haalat yaad karta hu toh ……….

FLASHBACK

Around 5 months ago, shivi’s dushmani was at full swing. Shiva hated raavi for being his mami ki behn ki beti whereas raavi never hated shiva in that way, but the way shiva treated her made him her dushman.

Once, it was a bright sunny day. Raavi went to pandya store and found shiva there. He was alone at shop doing work. Though she was here to meet dev but she thought not to miss this opportunity. Teasing him was her favourite pass time. Shiva notices her at the entrance and his anger grew. Already he was annoyed today because of maami as he heard her insulting his family while returning back from mandir. Thanks to dhara who controlled him other wise shiva wouldn’t spare maami today. First maami then this mami ki behn ki beti.

Sh: (breaking her thought process) aee mami ki behn ki beti……yahan kya kar rhi hai tu?

Ra: (irritated) kuch bhi karu tujhse matlab…….(goes inside the store)

Sh: (angrily) aee dekh mera dimaag vaise hi garam hai……tu nikal yahan se samjhi…..chal…..(pulling her)

Ra: (realizing that he was not in mood of fighting) acha acha thik hai……bas itna bata de dev kahan hai….mujh milna hai usse…..

Sh: (gritting his teeth) kyun milna hai usse?......kaha na tha durr reh mere bhai se……bheje me gusti nhi kya ye baat tere….

Ra: (losing her patience) dev dost hai mera….usse kisko dur rehna hai kisko nhi vo dev decide karega tu nhi samjha…..

Shiva held her wrist tightly and pulled her near himself. In this process, some of raavi bangles broke pricking shiva’s palm.

Sh: (furiously) teri fitrat bhi uss maami jaisi hai….dard dene ke alawa kuch nhi aata dono ko(showing his cut)

Ra: 😥

Sh: (sarcastically) wah yeh talent kaha se sikha…..maami me toh nhi hai ye talent(indicating towards her tears)……..ek baat kaan khole ke sun le dev se durr reh…..main nhi chahta mera bhai ek naagin ke saath reh kar uski tarha hojaye…..toh dev dosti tod de samjhi…..

Ra: (angrily yells) hn tod dungi….lekin marne ke baad….

Sh: (retorts angrily) hn toh mar…..aur apni iss dosti ko saath leke mar…. kyunki yeh shiva pandya abhi zinda hai jo tujhe dev ke aas paas bhatak ne bhi nhi dega……

Raavi ran away crying. Shiva too went back home after handing over the store to kaka.

As soon as, raavi returned back her house, she straight went to her room and locked herself. She cried her heart out remembering Shiva’s hurtful words.

Raavi’s POV

Kyun lagti hu main tujhe itni buri shiva……kyun…..agr maasi ne teri family ke saath kuch galt kiya toh isme meri kya galti…..tu mujhe itni nafrat kyun karta…..maasi ka saar gussa, saara frustration tu mujh pe hi nikaalta hai...... main hi paagal hu jo teri inn baato ko dil pe leti hu…..kyun teri baatein seedha dil ko chubhti hai….kyu teri baato ko main ek kaan se sun kr dusre se nikaal nhi paati……kyu……10 saal ho gye hai…..par main abhi tak mere liye tere khayaalaat change nhi kar payi……pata nhi kab tak tu mujhse bewajha nafrat karta rhe ga…….

Raavi’s POV ends

Raavi was crying thinking all this, when she received sneha’s call.Raavi composed herself before picking up the call. Sneha called raavi to invite her at her birthday party. Raavi happily agrees to attend. She decides not tothink much about shiva and his words but that day she just can’t get herself out of it.

Party was at XYZ hotel and it was decided that all the friend would stayback in the hotel overnight so raavi took one pair of casual clothes with her.Prafulla reluctantly agreed to it. Raavi got ready by 7:30 in evening. She looks at mirror the last time before leaving and proudly says ‘haaye kisi ki najar na lage somnaath ki sabse sundar ladki ko’. She smiles widely at herself but suddenly shiva’s words echoed in her ears ‘main nhi chahta ki mera bhai ek naagin ke saath….’. she felt her eyes filling up. ‘aaj mujhe ho kya gya hai…shiva ki baatein dimaag se jaa kyun nhi rahi……nhi main uske baare me soch ke apni friend ki party ka maja spoil nhi karungi…..’ she thought and left for party.

In pandya niwas, shiva was checking over the bills of the store. Once he was done with one set, he searched for the another one. As he didn’t find them,he thought to ask dhara who was chatting with suman in her room. He was about to enter the room but stopped after listening their convo.

Dh: …..raavi toh hai hi aisi…..sabse itna pyaar karti hai, izzat karti hai…..

Su: kaun kahega ki uss maasom si bachi ko uss kaagdi ne paala hai……bikul ulti hai……

Dh: maa bhale hi maami ne humare saath bura kiya hai…..par raavi aur anita se bahut pyaar karti hai vo……

Su: har maa apne bache se pyaar karti hai……aur uss bhachi ko toh duniya ka saara pyaar milna chahiye……bechari ko samjh bhi nhi thi aur bhagwaan ne maa baap ko cheen liya…..

Dh: kaun kahega maa ki itna bada dukh jhel ke baithi hai….jab dekho tab hasti rehti hai, hasati rehti hai……

Su: sahi hai……isliye hi main usse ghar me aane jaane se mana nhi karti…uss kaagdi ki galtiyon ka karj vo bachi kyun bhare….

Dh: sahi hai maa….par ye shiva ko samjh hi nhi aati…..jab dekho tab uss bechari se ladta rehta hai…..

Su: ek na ek din vo bhi samjhe ga…….jis din raavi ki achaai dikhegi na…. apne aap samjhe ga….

Shiva went back to hall and sat on sofa thinking about raavi and his behavior towards her.

Party was going well. Cake-cutting was done and everyone was dancing. Raavi didn’t like such crowded place so she decides to sit alone near the counter. After a while a man came to her asking for dance but raavi politely refused. Suddenly the dj played song naagin dance nachna making raavi remember shiva’s hurtful words. She felt hurt and her ager came back. She picks up a glass nearest and drink it in one go without realizing that it was alcohol. She found it wired but anger was blocking all her senses. She took 3-4 more glass and drank them.

That side, in pandya niwas, shiva was lieing on his cot thing about his and raavi’s fight and then about dhara’s words.

Shiva’s POV

Yaar ye chipkali dimag me aise chipak gyi hai ki ja hi nhi rhi…..kya Bhabhi sahi hai…..vo maami jaisi nhihai?.....sayad…sayad nhi……par usne aaj tak koi aisa kaam nhi kiya jo usse maami jaisa banaye…..kya main maami ki nafrat ka gussa uss par nikal ke galt kar rha hu?…..oh god…shiva tu kyun uske baare me soch raha hai…….vo maami ki behn ki beti hai……..uske baare me sochna band kar aur soja……

Shiva’s POV ends

There, in hotel, as this was the first time raavi was consuming alcohol,this much was enough to make her talli.

Ra: (full talli mode) kya yaar….kitna kadwa juice tha….par uss shiva ki batao se jayada nhi….aisa lagta hai ki karela kha ke paida hua ho…. Huh......par main aise khud se bolti rahungi toh usse kaise realise hoga….hnn…main usse call karti hu……

Raavi took her phone out, went to silent place and called shiva subconsciously. On other side shiva’s phone rang. shiva cursed the person and looked at the phone. He got shocked as it was chipkali calling him in midnight.At first he ignored but raavi called him again. This time shiva got worried and picked the call.

Sh: (signature tone) aee mami ki behn ki beti…..kya hai tujhe?....aadhi raat ko meri neend kharab kar rhi hai…..

Ra: *fake cries* tu kitna bura hai shiva….pucha bhi nhi ki kyun call kiya bas chillane laga….tu tu tu bahut bura hai……

Sh: (sensing her state) aee chipkali..tu kahan hai?....tune pee rakhi hai?.....

Ra: nhi bataungi…..phele mujhe tujhse baat karni hai…..

Sh: (angry and worried) aee…shaanti se bta kahan hai tu?.....

Ra: (pouting) ok….XYZ hotel me…sneha ki bday party me…..tu aaja….. mujhe tujhe gussa karna hai…..realise karna hai ki tu….tu galt hai….

Sh: (to himself) ye toh puri tarha se high ho rakhi hai……isse aise akela chodna thik nhi hai……(to raavi) tu jahan hai vahin reh…main aa raha hu…….(worried)

Before shiva could cut the call, voice of some boy came. He didn’t cut the call and listened to there convo.

There, in hotel, as soon as raavi finshed her talk with shiva, a man (the same man who asked raavi for dance) came to her. but raavi being talli mistook the person as shiva. His height and body structure was a bit close to shiva and this made raavi think it was shiva.

Man: (holding her hand) tum chalo mere saath….idhar aao…

Ra: (subconsciously) shiva tu aa gya…..itna fast…..par tu mujhe tum kabse bolne laga….

Man: (taking her upstair without coming in notice) hn hn…chalo…..

The boy dragged raavi to the hotel room and locked her inside with him

Ra: (subconsciously) tune door kyun lock….tu..tu ajeeb harkatein kar rhahai shiva……

Shiva heard their conversation and immediately rushed out for the hotel without thinking once.

There, in hotel room, the boy tried to take advantage of raavi’s condition. This person was none other than sneha’s cousin, ritik. He pulled raavi near him tightly griping her hand and started kissing her neck. His hand reached at her back and he started pulling the zip of her dress downwards. Raavi protested. She pushed him back. When he tried to hold her, she scratched his arms with her nails. As she was protesting, ritik tore a sleeve of her dress. She continued protesting a lot but got unconscious due to alcohol and fell on the bed. Ritik smirked seeing this. He leaned closer to her face. But before he could do anything wrong, Thud thud thud, someone knocked the door of the room.

Rit: (panicking) ka-kaun hai?

Person: bhai main hu sneha……

Rit: (sighs) hn..hn kya hua bol?…..

Sn: hua kuch nhi…aap neeche dikh nhi rhe the…..itni jaldi kyun aa gye?

Rit: wo..woh mera headache ho rha tha….isliye aa gya tha…

Sn(concerned): aap thik toh ho…..medicine mangvau kya?…….

Rit: nhi nhi…maine le li thi mere pe….tu party enjoy kar….

Sn: ok bhai…aap rest karlo…….

Rit: hmm….

As Sneha left, ritik sighed. He again looked at raavi evily. He howered over her and pulled her one sleeves down. Suddenly, his phone rang. it was his wife. He cursed her and picked up the call as he has no other option.

(Changes in terms of shiva, raavi and sneha: shiva, raavi and sneha are of same age, studied in same school-same class. Shiva left his studies after 10th. Sneha’s terms with shiva were not bad. You can say they were knowns and medium is raavi. Shiva’s education story is same as in show but here raavi knows the reason and never blurt it out as she is not pet ki kachi here.)

Shiva reached the hotel in the soonest time. All through the way,shiva’s heart was thudding loudly in fear. This was different but he didn’t have time to explore this different. He immediately rushed to the party hall.He looked around for raavi but didn’t find her. at the same time, sneha was coming down. She noticed shiva and went to.

Sn: (going towards him) shiva, tu yahan?.....(amazed)

Sh: (facing her) hn….hi sneha..happy birthday…..(sneha smiles)….vo chipkali nhi dikh rhi kahi…

Sn: main bhi usse dhund rahi hu…..(surprised)par tu usse milne yahan aaya….prafulla aunty ne bheja kya tujhe?

Sh: vo….tu idhar aa ek min….(takes her to a side)….vo actually chipkali ka call aya tha aur…………..(tells everything to her)

Sn: (shocked) shiva ye kya……kaunsa ladka ho sakta hai…..saare dost toh yahan hai….

Sh: (worried) par raavi toh nhi hai na yahan…..aisa bhi ho sakta hai ki koi aur ladka ho…..

Sn: tune kisika naam suna….koi aisi hint jisse kuch pata chale nhi…..

Sh: nhi aisa ku……(suddenly he remembers that he has the call recording)…hn vo call auto record ho jaati hai mere phone…sayad usse koi clue….

Shiva opened his call recording and played his and raavi’s convo. Snehacarefully heard recording.

Sn: (as she heard boy’s voice)…bhai…..

Ritik finally cut the call and mentally curse his wife. he went back toraavi who was lieing unconscious. His hand reached raavi’s back and pulled downthe zip of dress down. As he leaned down to her, when the door opened. He immediately turned around and found sneha and shiva standing there. they used a spare keycard to do so. sneha was so shocked that she wasn’t able to utter a word whereas shiva’s blood boiled as he saw raavi disheveled condition. Shiva,without wasting a moment, started beating ritik miserably. Sneha rushed to raavi and covered her with blanket. She then saw shiva beating ritik like anything. She rushed to him.

Sn: (stopping him) shiva, ruk jaa…..ladayi ki aawaj sunke koi bhi aa sakta hai…..aur ye raavi ke liye thik nhi hoga…….

Shiva understood what sneha was trying to say. He left ritik.

Sh: (furiously) agr baat raavi ki izzat kin hi hoti toh main aaj teri….

Sn: (angrily) aapko apna bhai bolte hue sharam aati hai…….aapne jo kiya hai uski saja aapko milegi aur saza aapko Bhabhi dengi...iski harkat ki nhi toh dhokadhadi ki complaint likhwa hi sakte hai…….abhi aap chale jao yahan…..

Ritik picked his phone and bag before leaving.

sneha too left saving 'main abhi aayi....'.

Shiva turned his gaze. His heart ached remembering her condition when he entered the room.

Abhi mujh mein kahin,

baaki thodi si hai zindagi

A lone tear escaped his eyes seeing her in this state. He remembered their morning argument. ‘ha toh mar…..aurapni iss dosti ko saath  leke mar’. though he said these words, but never meant them. Infact, his heart squeezed seeing her in pain.

Jagi dhadkan nayi,

jaana zinda hoon main to abhi

And he was feeling this today. He himself didn’t know why.

His thought process break when sneha came back.

Sn: shiva…tum kuch derr ke liye bahar jao….vo actually…..

Shiva saw clothes in sneha’s hand and understood the matter. He silently went outside. He rested his head on the wall.

Kuch aisi lagan

is lamhe mein hai

Yeh lamha kahaan tha mera

Shiva’s POV

Manta hu ki chipkali ke saath galt hone wala tha…..par main itna kyun bechain ho rha hu….ab sab thik hai….itni bechaini toh kabhi nhi hui…..aate hue bhi aisa lag rha tha jaise jaan nikal rhi ho…..kaisa ajeeb sa ehsaas hai ye…..kuch samjh nhi aa rha……

Shiva’s POV ends

Shiva’s thought broke when sneha came out of the room.

Sn: (pleading) shiva….vo kya tu yahan raavi ke saath ruk jaaoge? Koi hona chahiye na.....main ruk jaati par neeche vo guests…….I know tum dono ek dusre ko pasand nhi karte ho…par please….insaaniyat ke naate….

Shiva noded in assurance. Sneha smiled back before leaving. Shiva went inside.

Ab hai saamne, ise chhoo loon zara

Mar jaaun ya jee loon zara

His legs automactically guided him towards her. he sat beside her looking at her face. He observed some dried tears near her eyes. Then his eyes fell on her hand wrists. They had marks on them. He clenched his jaw thinking what could have happened if she didn’t call him or if he just denied the call.

Khushiyaanchoom loon

Ya ro loonzara

Mar jaaunya jee loon zara.

He gently caressed her hairs. He leaned down to her forehead and kissed it. On realizing, what he just did, he got up with jerk questioning his doing.He was confused with his own emotions. He took deep breath to calm himself down assuring himself, or may be lying himself, that it is just humanity.

Ho abhi mujh mein kahin,

baaki thodi si hai zindagi

He sat on the couch and kept looking at her as if his sanity depened onher without realizing this himself.

Next morning, the sun rays fell on raavi disturbing her sleep. Raavi woke up with heavy head. She slowly regained complete consciousness and then her eyes fell on shiva, who was sleeping on the couch. Slowly all the flashbackof last night came in front of her eyes. Everyone dancing-then she drank something- felt awkward-called shiva-complaint him and asked him to come-taking her upstair-locking of door-trying to get close-pushing and pulling-……after this, she didn’t remember as she fell unconscious. After this her eyes widen realizing that her cloth was changed and the marks were also there on her wrist. She found her party dress kept beside her folded. She took the dress and found that one of it sleeves was toren.After connecting all the points, she concluded that a person took advantage and that person was none other than shiva. Tears started flowing down her cheeks. She felt the emotion of betrayal, anger and disgust for shiva. She got up frombed angrily, picked up a glass of water kept on table and splash, threw it on shiva’s face. Shiva got up with jerk and adjusted his eyes to the vision. He found raavi standing infront of him. he stood up and before he could say anything, tadaak….his face was welcomed with a tight slap from raavi. He was shocked to see this activity of raavi. He was confused at this. Before, shiva could react to her slap,

Ra: (holding his collar) kyun…kyun kiya tune aisa….bol shiva…..sharam nhi aayi ek baar bhi…(shiva still confused)….meri haalat ka fayada uthaya tune….iss tareeke se apna badla liya hn……(pushes him back)

Now, shiva realized what she was talking about. He remembered her words on call last night. She thought the person to be shiva.

Ra: (crying yelling) sharam nhi aayi shiva tujhe….mera chod….dhara di aur kaaki ke baare me soch kar hi ruk jaata…..itni giri hui harkat…. Humari dunsmani ka toh lihaaz kar liya hota….Aree mere saath ye sab karne se acha toh tu mujhe maar daalta…..

Saying this raavi fell on the floor crying.

Shiva felt numb at this point of time. He just couldn’t digest what shesaid. He took advantage of her. okay fine, she assumed the person to be shiva in that state but didn’t she know him since childhood? Though he fought with her everyday and hated her a lot, but still. Did she thought so low about him? after hearing her words, something inside him broke, didn’t know what but something broke into millions of pieces.He felt like someone stabbed his heart and was now rotating the knife. He sighed thinking ‘tujhe samjhna hota toh tu khud samjh jaati….lekin ab main tujhe nhi samjhaunga.’ He picked up his phone and called sneha. Raavi lifted her head looked at him. his eyes showed hurt in them. She could see that but the anger and hurt in her was much more and they only overpowered the voice of her heart.

Sneha reached the room in couple of second. Shiva went outside leaving both of them alone. Raavi hugged her and cried her heart out. Sneha tries tocomfort her.

Ra: (crying) kyun sneha…kyun kiya usne aisa…..

Sn: (patting her back) kuch galt nhi hua raavi…..kuch galt hota usse phele tere bhoothnath ne tujhe bacha liya…..(raavi breaks the hug)…pata nhi vo time pe nhi aata toh pta nhi kya hota….(raavi is confused)….(sneha holds her hand) sorry raavi…meri zimedari thi tu….aur mere hi bhai ne tere saath aisa…..

Ra: (wide eyes) bhai?...

Sn: hn mere cousin……ritik bhai….raavi main bahut embarrassed hu….. please mujhe maaf kar de…….maine kabhi nhi socha tha ki vo aisa kar sakte hai…..vo toh tune shiva ko call kar diya……….(tells her the incident briefly)

Ra: 😲😨😢

Sn: (seeing her shocked) kya hua raavi?….tu thik toh hai….dekh tuparessan mat ho…..sab thik hai….

Ra: (fumbling) vo sne..sneha main vo….

Sn: kya hua raavi?.....tu kal raat ki baat ko leke ghabrai hui hai kya?...jayada mat ghabra, sab thik(raavi nods her head in no while crying)…..toh phir….

Raavi told everything to sneha. What she thought, what she said to shiva, everything.

Sn: (shouts angrily) tu paagal hai raavi…..bin soche samjhe jaane kyakya bol gyi…..tu naashe me thi….toh tu kaise itni surety se shiva pe illzamlaga sakti hai…..ek baar toh dimag laga leti ki shiva turant kaise aa gya……(raavibows her head down in guilt)….raavi tune na apne bachpan ke dushman shiva pe illzam nhi lagya…..uss shiva pe illzam lagaya hai jo tere ek call pe aadhi raatko yahan bhaaga chala aaya, uss shiva pe jo kis ladki ki tarf aankh uthke dekhta tak nhi……bhul mat raavi chahe shiva ne tujhse kitni bhi nafrat ki ho…..lekn jab jab tujhe kisi ki zaroorat thi vo humesha tha(raavi 😭 after realising what she did)….ye tune sahi nhi kiya…..bilkul sahi nhi kiya……

Suddenly, a message popped on sneha’s phone. it was shiva’s that read ‘usse neeche le aa…ghar bhi jana hai….’.

Sn: chal neeche shiva wait kar rha hai…..(raavi looked at her with I can’t face him look)…koi fayada nhi….maafi mangle…maaf karde na woh toh lucky samjhna khud ko……aur ye baat sirf chaar log jaante hai…tu, main, shiva aur bhai……shiva ne kaha hai ki ye baat hum chaar me hi rahe gi……so follow it……

Raavi nods her head in yes and both went down.

As raavi went towards the door, she saw shiva standing there talking to someone.

Raavi’s POV

Ye kya kar diya maine…..bas ek baar socha aur chaldi usse baatein sunane…ek baar bhi dil ki sunna zaroori nhi samjha…..jisne mere liye itne kuch kiya main uss par bharosa bhi nhi kar paayi…..kitna naaraj hoga… ab shiva bhi mujhse durr ho jaye….maine apni bebkoofi ki wakha se apne bandar ko kho diya kya?.....nhi nhi…main usse samjhaungi….voh samjhe ga meri condition…..maine apne bhoothnath ko mana ke rahungi…..

Raavi’s POV ends

As shiva finished his phone convo, he turned around only to find raavi standing behind him. raavi misbalanced due to his sudden movement, but caught in nick of time. Their shared an eye contact on which shiva’s eyes showed hurt and pain whereas raavi’s showed guilt and request for forgiveness. Shiva immedialtey steadied her and turned away. Raavi felt hurt but she knew she deserved this. Sneha came back and handed raavi her bag. She bid goodbye to raavi and asked her apolozise shiva.

Shiva started his bike but raavi was nervous this time. Shiva gave race to his bike indicating her to sit fast. Raavi sat and kept her hand on his shoulder but shiva jerked it away in anger. Raavi looked down in guilt.

After that day shiva started ignoring raavi. He stayed away from her and communication was almost negligible.
