Zubeen Garg’s second autopsy announced by Assam CM amid foul play allegations

On Monday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced a new autopsy of legendary singer Zubeen Garg, as part of the ongoing investigation into allegations of foul play in his death.

During a press conference, the Assam Chief Minister stated that a second autopsy of the singer would be performed tomorrow morning at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), with a team from AIIMS Guwahati overseeing the procedure.
Sarma announced that Zubeen Garg's mortal remains will be transported to GMCH at 7:30 AM, with the examination anticipated to last one to two hours. He confirmed that the family had given their consent for the procedure.
Death reports of Zubeen
The celebrated Assamese singer, who was 52, passed away in Singapore last week following a seizure while swimming at Lazarus Island. Initially, reports had indicated that the singer had died in a scuba diving accident.
According to the death certificate issued by Singapore authorities, Zubeen Garg's death was confirmed as drowning while swimming. Speaking to the media on Sunday, Sarma mentioned that the death certificate, provided by the Singapore High Commission, listed drowning as the cause of death.

"Zubeen, along with seven or eight others, including drummer Shekhar and Sidhartha , went to the island on a yacht. They swam together and returned to the shore on the yacht. All of them were wearing life jackets. But Zubee News18 on Google G swim again and suffered a seizure attack," Garima had said.
Zubeen- a legendary musician
Zubeen, a multi-instrumentalist proficient in 12 instruments including the anandalahari, dhol, and guitar, was Assam's highest-paid singer and a celebrated musician. He married Garima Saikia, a fashion designer from Golaghat, Assam, on February 4, 2002.
Just a day before he was set to perform at the North East India Festival, Garg's passing has created a void in the music industry. His soulful voice, iconic songs like "Ya Ali," and larger-than-life personality had endeared him to millions.
