Yukti Kapoor: It was a dream of mine to have my film recognized and showcased in Cannes

Actress Yukti Kapoor's New Film "Break The Silence: Evil Within Us" produced by Minara Films premieres at Cannes ( Festival De Cannes Marche Du 2024). Directed by Hemant Chauhan the film also stars Anupriya Goenka, Rohit Phatak and Priya Raina. 

Renowned actress Yukti Kapoor, celebrated for her stellar performances in popular television shows such as "Keh Doon Tumhein," "Siya Ke Ram," "Agneephera," and "Madam Sir," is thrilled to announce the premiere of her latest film, "Break The Silence: Evil Within Us," at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Yukti Kapoor's portrayal in this film marks a significant departure from her television roles, showcasing her versatility and depth as an actress.

Talking about the film, actress Yukti says: When I got a call from the casting director, Sabir, he mentioned that the character had a mental disorder. Normally, characters are bubbly, revengeful, or agitated, but this one was different. I knew that if I acted too exaggerated, it would come across as funny, which I wanted to avoid. I approached the role carefully to ensure it felt authentic and elicited empathy for the character's struggles. I put a lot of thought into striking that balance. Now, seeing the recognition we're receiving, I'm thrilled. I can't wait for the film to be available on an OTT platform so everyone can watch it and share their feedback. Working with Hemant sir was an amazing experience. He's a fantastic director who really gives you space to perform. When a director makes you feel comfortable, it makes all the difference. So overall, it was a rewarding and enjoyable experience." I would also like to thank Minara Akter for giving me an opportunity to play this character.
