Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Five-month leap sees Abhira and Ruhi’s baby bumps shine

In tonight's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode, Ruhi questions Rohit on why he kept Abhira in the dark. Rohit reveals that Ruhi's greatest fear—of being left by everyone—might become a reality someday. Realising her mistake, Ruhi softens, and Rohit tries to lift her spirits. 

However, Ruhi harbours resentment, blaming Abhira's mother for ruining her own childhood and vowing revenge. She feels that Abhira's baby should not receive more love than her own child. Abhira, sensing Ruhi's bitterness, confronts her about holding onto grudges. Ruhi, in turn, blames Akshara for her unhappiness and asserts that Abhira does not deserve joy. Refusing to share prasad with Ruhi, tensions flare, leading to an argument between them. In a heated moment, Abhira raises her hand against Ruhi, who, in anger, wishes ill for Abhira's baby. Armaan later checks with Abhira to see if she shared the prasad with Ruhi, but the situation has left Abhira feeling uneasy.

Five months leap:

Five months later, both Abhira and Ruhi are seen with noticeable baby bumps. Kaveri invites Armaan and Abhira to inaugurate their newly decorated room, sparking joy in the couple. However, Abhira is haunted by a dream where her son and Ruhi's daughter are locked in conflict, causing her to worry. Sensing her unease, Armaan asks if everything is alright. 

The couple then admires their new space, and Abhira notices Kaveri has placed a childhood photo of her and Armaan, symbolising their wish for their child to inherit qualities and cuteness from both parents.

Meanwhile, Vidya hands down some old clothes to Ruhi for her baby. Upon learning that old clothes are sometimes preferred for newborns, Ruhi asks for more. However, Vidya informs her that some clothes are saved for Abhira's baby, which sparks Ruhi's frustration.

Rohit advises Ruhi:

Elsewhere, Charu brushes off Sanjay's attempts to talk and decides to manage one of Abhira's clients. Armaan comments that Charu will soon step into Abhira's role in the firm. Charu mentions she joined the company five months back, and Abhira expresses her support for Charu's growth. Kaveri plans a baby shower for both Abhira and Ruhi, while Vidya secretly intends to give Abhira's baby the old clothes. Armaan, noticing this, calls Vidya out on her insincere behaviour.

Rohit advises Ruhi that her hostility towards Abhira is harming their relationship, but Ruhi remains firm, believing her fears are justified and refusing to listen. Meanwhile, Aryan and Kiara grow suspicious of Krish's constant focus on his phone, but Krish dismisses them, urging them to mind their own tasks.

Abhira and Ruhi's baby shower preparations:

Manisha asks Manoj for money to buy jewellery for Abhira and Ruhi. Manoj feels burdened, wondering how he will manage the finances. Abhira and Ruhi get ready for the ceremony, each harbouring their own thoughts. Abhira feels joy knowing that Vidya will lead the ritual for her and her baby, while Ruhi believes she will only feel content if Vidya begins the ceremony with her. As Vidya starts the ritual with Ruhi, Kajol steps in, asserting that since Abhira is the elder daughter-in-law, the ceremony should begin with her. However, Vidya explains that Ruhi, being nine months pregnant, should go first, while Abhira is still seven months along. Vidya takes charge of overseeing Ruhi's baby shower but hesitates when it comes to Abhira's, unsure how to proceed. Eventually, KavRuhi'seps in, conducting the ceremony for Abhira aAbhira'sing her child, leaving Ruhi feeling neglected. 

As Abhira and Ruhi prepare to step onto the cloth, Ruhi stumbles, causing Abhira to quickly catch her and reassure her with a gesture of support. The two women, now leaning on each other for strength, proceed together to leave their footprints on the cloth as part of the tradition. Suddenly, Abhira grows anxious when she notices her baby isn't moving and immediately calls Armaan.
