Recently, the show made headlines with the news that Shivam Khajuria, who played Rohit, has been replaced by Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si actor Romit Raj.

In the upcoming episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Abhira stands up for Armaan in front of Kaveri, arguing that while the family has given him love, upbringing, and support, they have not allowed him the freedom to make mistakes and learn from them. She highlights that their intolerance towards his first mistake is causing them to pressure him to sever ties. Meanwhile, Rohit feels dizzy, prompting Ruhi to support him, and he greets her warmly, calling her "wifey." This unexpected gesture leaves Armaan and Abhira in shock.

In tonight's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Armaan acknowledges that Rohit  might question why he kept his affair with Ruhi secret, though he insists he had no ill intentions. Despite Armaan's attempt to explain, Rohit dismisses his clarification, expressing regret for leaving his family for Armaan and labeling him as his stepbrother.

As Abhira prepares to speak, Armaan interrupts her. Rohit reveals that Armaan's betrayal has ruined his plans for a fresh start and blames him for his failures. Madhav defends Armaan, but Rohit accuses him of never loving him due to his allegiance to Armaan. Rohit also regrets sharing the Poddars with Armaan and sides with Kaveri, who views Armaan as an outsider. A confrontation nearly leads to violence, but Kaveri stops Madhav from hitting Rohit, pleading with him not to leave.
