Year Ender 2022: From Celesti Bairagey to Neeharika Roy; actresses who debuted this year

Year 2022 was filled with many new projects. Various production houses as well as the channel welcomed many new faces to play leads in their projects. 

Many young and talented females bagged the lead roles in various TV shows.

Celesti Bairagey

Celesti was initially considered as the look alike of Alia Bhatt but Star Plus show ‘Rajjo’ gave her a new identity. The actress is playing the titular role in the show and winning hearts with her stint. Her chemistry with actor Rajveer Singh is also quite loved.

Ayushi Khurana

Ayushi Khurana was initially playing a negative character in Dangal TV show before she bagged Star Bharat’s ‘Ajooni’. Ayushi plays the titular role in the show who is strong headed and takes a firm stand for herself against the wrongdoers. Ayushi is too good with emotional scenes and her on-screen and off-screen bond with co-actor Shoaib Ibrahim is quite appreciated.

Twinkle Arora

Twinkle Arora entered Colors’ show ‘Udaariyaan’ as new lead post Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Ankit Gupta parted ways from the show. Twinkle plays the character of Nehmat in the show. Currently, the track of the show revolves around Nehmat and Ekam facing a major turmoil in their love story.

Samridhi Shukla

Samriddhi plays quite an unconventional role that of a female rickshaw driver in Colors’ TV show ‘Saavi Ki Savari’. Samriddhi has captured the hearts of the viewers with the simplicity and innocence that she brings onboard as Saavi. 

Neeharika Roy

Neeharika started off her career quite young. She played the character of a teenager in Sony SAB’s show ‘Tera Yaar Hoon Main’. She bagged the lead role in a big ticket show ‘Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan’ helmed by Pratiek Sharma of LSD Films. The icing on the cake was that Roy got to play a character opposite seasoned actor Shabbir Alhuwalia.

Apart from the above, other actresses that debuted this year in the lead roles include Kritika Singh Yadav (Dharam Patnii), Tanvi Malhara (Muskurane Ki Wajah Tum Ho), Kangan Baruah Nangia (Sab Satrangi), Prachi Bansal (new Thapki in Thapki Pyaar Ki), Sayli Salunkhe (Bahot Pyaar Karte Hai), Rachana Mistri (Na Umra Ki Seema Ho) and Niharika Chouksey (Faltu).
