Sridevi loved both her daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor to the core. The late legendary actress left no stone unturned in their upbringing, from spoiling them with her unconditional love to schooling them with the right values and manners.

In return even her darling daughters, Janhvi and Khushi, loved their doting mother to bits! And till today, there has not been a single occasion when her elder daughter and actress Janhvi Kapoor didn't remember her mother! More than Khushi it was Janhvi who was the closest to her Mum and now as well she continues to keep her alive in the beautiful memories.

Recently, while following the nationwide lockdown that has been imposed due to the on-going Coronavirus pandemic, Janhvi kick-started a whole new series titled ‘Quarantine tapes’ that gives fans a sneak-peek into her quarantine routine.

In the first episode of her quarantine tapes, Janhvi shared a glimpse of mom Sridevi.

Now, we got our hands on a story about why Sridevi named her daughters as 'Janhvi’ and 'Khushi'!

According to reports in Lehren, Sridevi decided to name her elder daughter Janhvi after her favourite character from a 1997 hit film.

For the unversed, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s first child - Janhvi Kapoor was born on March 6, 1997, and at the same time Sridevi’s film Judaai produced by husband Boney Kapoor and co-starring Anil Kapoor and Urmila Matondkar had released and turned out to be a huge hit at the box-office. With the film featuring Sridevi and Urmila Matondkar as leading ladies, Sridevi was in love with Matondkar’s character named Janhvi.

So the couple named their elder daughter and first born, Janhvi!

While Janhvi Kapoor’s name was inspired by Urmila Matondkar’s character in Judaai, younger sister Khushi Kapoor’s name too has a Bollywood connect.

During Khushi’s birth in 2000, as Boney Kapoor had produced Kareena Kapoor Khan and Fardeen Khan's film, titled 'Khushi', the producer named his daughter behind his film that released three years later on her birthday.
