Over the years, crime as a genre has gained immense popularity amongst the Indian audience for its gripping narrative. And, Sony Entertainment Television’s longest running crime docu-drama ‘Crime Patrol’ has made an irreplaceable mark in this space. Showcasing compelling cases with gritty storytelling of the criminal activities from across India with a resolve to make people ‘Satark’, the channel brings back the marquee show in an all-new avatar with Crime Patrol 2.0.
Taking up the thrill a notch higher, the new version will revolve around the lives of the men in uniform who investigate gruesome criminal activities and have close encounters with criminals that is beyond our imagination! Taking the viewers on pursuits with the police as they attempt to solve the crime cases, the show will make the viewers understand the anatomy of a crime while also highlighting the unseen facets of investigation, usage of new-age tools, the chase; the anticipation and drive to find an answer.
Having worked in the Indian entertainment industry for around two decades across films and television, popular actor Gireesh Sahdev will be seen playing the role of police officer in Crime Patrol 2.0. Bringing alive these gripping real life-based crime stories as PI Ajit Pratap Singh, Gireesh will be a part of the cop squad solving some of the most spine-chilling crime cases in the city of UP.
I have been an avid fan of Crime Patrol and I am aware of the popularity the show has garnered through the years. I just couldn’t let go of the opportunity to be a part of Crime Patrol 2.0. Whenever I wear the uniform, I feel a sense of responsibility attached to it which makes me work harder to do justice to the role. While the core of the show remains the same, it will now delve closely into how the cops go about solving these crime cases.

Elated to be a part of the show, Gireesh said, “I have been an avid fan of Crime Patrol and I am aware of the popularity the show has garnered through the years. I just couldn’t let go of the opportunity to be a part of Crime Patrol 2.0. Whenever I wear the uniform, I feel a sense of responsibility attached to it which makes me work harder to do justice to the role. While the core of the show remains the same, it will now delve closely into how the cops go about solving these crime cases – their thought process, the tools that they use and how it impacts them personally as well. I would urge the audience to watch the show to understand their own surroundings better and be satark in identifying the tell-tale signs of a criminal activity brewing.”
Naye Andaaz mein, satark karne aa raha hain ‘Crime Patrol 2.0’- every Mon-Fri at 10 pm, starting 7th March only on Sony Entertainment Television
