Vivek Agnihotri CHALLENGES Bollywood to boycott Ranbir Kapoor due to THIS reason: 'Aukaat hi nahi hai…'

In a scathing assessment, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has launched a direct attack on Bollywood's leading producers, leveling accusations of hypocrisy and a lack of courage when it comes to addressing prominent figures like Ranbir Kapoor. During a recent interview, Agnihotri asserted that behind closed doors, the industry is rife with criticism of its leading actors. However, he claims that no one in Bollywood has the nerve to voice these criticisms openly.

Speaking to Digital Commentary, the Kashmir Files director said, “Aukaat hi nahi hai inki, himmat hai karne ki, kar ke dikhayein." Agnihotri's remarks were prompted by the ongoing debate surrounding "Animal," Sandeep Reddy Vanga's controversial film, and the lack of public criticism towards Ranbir Kapoor's role in it.

Agnihotri questioned why no one in Bollywood publicly criticizes major stars, despite private negativity. He stated, "Do they have the courage to say anything in public? They don’t. So they deserve to suffer," and added, "Do phir Rs 150 crore ghatiya kaam ke, sadi hui acting ke." He believes the industry's reliance on star power has lowered creative standards, leading him to distance himself from mainstream Bollywood.

Meanwhile, "Animal" director Sandeep Reddy Vanga discussed post-release reactions, expressing frustration over the film's backlash. "Everybody said Ranbir was brilliant, but the writer-director was criticised. I understood they want to work with Ranbir," he said. "It’s easy to make a comment about me because I am new for this place."
