Veteran actress Ava Mukherjee passes away at the age of 88
The actress was Shah Rukh Khan's grandmother in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film "Devdas".

Veteran actress Ava Mukherjee has played many memorable roles in movies. Not just the movies but, she had also had also been a part of the commercials. She passed away at the age of 88 and breathed her last on January 15 in Mumbai.
As reported by a leading portal, the cause of Ava Mukherjee's death is yet unknown.
She made her debut in the film world in the year 1966 with a Bengali film "Ram Dhakka." and post that continued being a part of many Bengali films.
Talking about her Bollywood career she was seen in films like, "Darna Zaroori Hai", "Detective Naani", "The Firm Land". Ava Mukherjee played the role of Shah Rukh Khan's grandmother in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas (2002).
The film also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit in the lead role.
While her work has been memorable but, her death is a loss to the Indian film industry.
We hope Ava Mukherjee's soul rests in peace.
