"Veera occupies an empty space of my life": Digangana Suryavanshi

The young and cute looking Digangana Suryavanshi, who is currently playing the bubbly Veera in Beyond Dreams' popular show Veera is very happy to play this character. The pretty actress doesn't have a brother in real life and this is what excites Digangana to be a part of the show. 

TellyBuzz spoke to her to know more about how it is being a part of the show, about playing the character of Veera, her rapport with her brother Ranvi played by Shivin Narang on-screen and off-screen.  

The character of Veera has different shades - "It's really amazing because the character Veera is a much layered character with different shades - full of sadness and happiness. Playing Veera is a challenge because it's a complicated character. It is projected on-screen with a realistic approach which generally doesn't get portrayed in TV serials. It's very exciting and new for me to play this character. It feels amazing to play this character." 

Veera occupies the empty space of my life - "I was busy with my novel and I got a call from the production house. They asked me to give an audition. The other day, I got a call from them as they wanted to sign me for this role. They really loved it and were looking forward to cast me as Veera. I was even more excited because the story is about the relationship between a brother and a sister. I don't have a brother in real life and here it's going to occupy the empty space in my life. I was very excited and overwhelmingly happy to play this character. We play with the emotions of brother and sister which viewers can connect with the same very well and it is also different from saas bahu sagas."  

I used to follow Veera before too - "Yes, of course! I used to follow the show before also as I said that it's a story about the brother sister relationship which is portrayed in the show and the kids did a great job. My mom also used to follow the show; even if I used to miss out watching the show sometimes, but she never used to miss out on any episodes of the show." 

Harshita calls me Cutie pie - "Harshita Ojha is a lovely kid. She came on our sets on the first day and we had a lot of fun. We were playing and dancing together. She calls me Cutie pie and I call her Sweety. We share a very different relationship apart from being actors. She is a cute kid. Whenever she comes on our sets, I just lift her up and show her around the sets."

Punjabi is a new accent for me to adopt - "I wouldn't say that I rehearsed before playing this character. I discussed everything with our writer Raghuvirji as how she walks and how she talks. I don't speak that way in real life. I have a different tone of talking and have an American accent. I was little scared and worried about speaking Hindi. I know Hindi, English and Marathi but Punjabi is a new accent for me to adopt and carry forward it in a very realistic way. We discussed things and noted points as how she used to say Moti Chaiji which has to be carried forward." 

I am little bit similar like Veera - "I am very emotional person in real life like her. I am similar like her except the way she walks and talks. I have a really long hair and she has short hair."  

I and Shivin share everything together - "It's an amazing bond that Shivin Narang and I are sharing with each other! We share a lot of things together. Whenever he is not on the sets, I call him up and ask him to come on the sets and we sit together and share things. It's one of the best bonds which anyone else could have. We share and discuss everything together."
