Varun Dhawan dedicates his award to Sonu Sood: Sonu Sir inspired me

At the most recent ET Agents of Change award ceremony held in Mumbai, Varun Dhawan was awarded the "Gamechanger of the Year" award. However, Varun did a sweet gesture that won hearts across all quarters. The JugJugg Jeeyo actor dedicated his "Gamechanger of the Year" to actor-philanthropist Sonu Sood.

Sonu Sood serves as Varun's motivation, and he wasted no time in dedicating his honour to the man who is cherished as the nation's hero.

Dedicating his award to Sonu, Varun Dhawan said, "Sonu Sir inspired me with especially what he did during the time of Covid lockdown... the way he went out of his way to help people. He was also down with Covid that time but still, he stepped out and helped people."

He further added, "I actually want to dedicate this award to Sonu Sir from my heart. You inspire me and so many Indians and taught us how can we use our privilege to help others in such trying time," Varun adds.

Sonu Sood has often demonstrated that humanity still has hope. The actor, who has been rightfully recognized as "Nation's hero," has helped thousands of people during the most trying time in Covid and has never once given up.

The actor-philanthropist frequently donates his support and money to numerous initiatives that shed light on the struggles of the average person and enable them to live better lives.
