Varun Dhawan Celebrates Director Atlee’s Birthday with Unseen Photo from Baby John Sets

Varun Dhawan is excited about his upcoming movie Baby John, set to release on December 25, 2024. The film was initially scheduled for a May 31, 2024 release but was delayed. Varun has been actively sharing photos from the film's set, and today, he posted an unseen picture to celebrate director Atlee's birthday. Along with the photo, Varun praised Atlee as the “hardest worker.”

Sharing the photo on his Instagram stories, Varun is seen hugging Atlee and wrote, "With the man who always keeps his promises. The hardest worker in the room, but above all, a leader who stands with his people. Happy bday sir @atlee47.” 

This marks Varun’s first project with Atlee, an action-packed thriller produced by Atlee himself, Jyoti Deshpande, and Murad Khetani. The film is all set for a grand Christmas release.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Varun Dhawan talked about Baby John, saying, "All I can say is it's a mass-action entertainer. There's a lot of fun in the film, which is something I enjoy. I'm going to give it my everything." Besides Baby John, Varun has other projects lined up, including Citadel India with Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

Directed by Raj and DK, Citadel is the Indian adaptation of the popular international series created by the Russo Brothers. According to reports, Samantha and Varun are involved in several high-action sequences. Fans are excited to see how the Indian version will compare to the global hit.

Rumors have been swirling about Varun teaming up with his father, David Dhawan, for a new romantic comedy. Reports suggest the movie is titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, and it’s expected to hit theaters in October 2025. However, an official confirmation is still awaited. According to media sources, this family entertainer is centered around a love triangle starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Sreelela. David Dhawan is confident about recreating his signature comedy magic with this fresh concept.
