Vandana Lalwani To Be Seen in Jay Mehta's Upcoming Show

Actor Vandana Lalwani, who has been on the tube for a rather long time has now bagged her upcoming project and it certainly is an interesting one to look forward to.

Lalwani has bagged producer Jay Mehta's upcoming show, where she will be seen playing the role of a stepmother to the female lead. Mehta's upcoming show is said to be a finite series with an interesting storyline that is said to be shot overseas for the maximum chunk, mostly in London.

Apparently, the show is inspired by the Bollywood film English Vinglish where the male lead's mother (played by Suchitra Trivedi) will be determined to learn English.

News about actor Akshay Mhatre playing the male lead has already been out for a while now, and Balika Vadhu fame Sunil Singh has been signed on to play the female protagonist's father who will also be the villain of the show.

Coming to Mehta, the producer is an acclaimed entity who is responsible for presenting popular shows like Rab Se Sona Ishq, Ekk Nayi Pehchaan, Jeet Gayi Toh Piya More, Jiji Maa, Gathbandhan among others.
