US Ambassador Eric Garcetti's meeting with Shah Rukh Khan: Everybody in my office went nuts

US Ambassador Eric Garcetti recently opened up about his memorable encounter with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan during his initial days in India. Speaking on the ANI podcast with Smita Prakash, Garcetti revealed the astonishment among his colleagues when they learned about his meeting with SRK and also opened up about how he became aware of the love from fans across the country for Shah Rukh

Recalling the rendezvous, Garcetti shared, "I think when I visited Shah Rukh Khan during my first couple of weeks here, we talked cricket because, of course (Shah Rukh owns the IPL team KKR)… Everybody in my office went nuts." He further expressed his surprise at the widespread adoration for Shah Rukh across the nation.

Their meeting, which took place last year at Shah Rukh's opulent mansion, Mannat, in Mumbai, delved into discussions about Bollywood's immense cultural influence worldwide. Garcetti even took to social media to share his experience, pondering if it was time for his Bollywood debut.

Back then Garcetti wrote, accompanied by pictures of their meeting,"Is it time for my Bollywood debut? Had a wonderful chat with superstar @iamsrk at his residence Mannat, learning more about the film industry in Mumbai and discussing the huge cultural impact of Hollywood and Bollywood across the globe."
