#ThrowbackThursday: A movie worth REMEMBERING - Black Friday {2007}

Anurag Kashyap's directed Black Friday is one of the best Bollywood movies based on true events and it EXPOSES the real cause of 1993 Bombay blasts.

The 2004 Bollywood crime thriller Black Friday is directed by one of the most talented directors Anurag Kashyap. The movie is based on 1993 Bombay Bombings and is inspired by S.Hussain Zaidi's book 'Dongri to Dubai' which showcases six decades of Bombay underworld.

The movie received a lot of appreciation around the globe but the Indian Censor Board did not allow the movie to be released in India for three years and the movie was later released in the year 2007.

This movie is one of the best Bollywood movies based on true events which showcases all the facts about the blasts.

However, the important aspect of this movie is the direction of 'Anurag Kashyap' and also the actors who played their roles brilliantly.

1. Vijay Maurya as Dawood Ibrahim:

There are many Bollywood movies which were based on Mumbai underworld and many actors have also played Dawood Ibrahim whether it be Akshay Kumar in 'Once upon a time in Mumbaai Dobara!' but no one can still match the intensity of Vijay Maurya as Dawood.

2. Imtiaz Ali as Yakub Memon:

Well, we have seen Imtiaz Ali as a talented director of Bollywood but in Black Friday he plays the role of Yakub Memon. Though not a big role it's worth watching.

3. Aditya Srivastava as Badshah Khan:

Aditya Srivastava is popularly known for playing Abhijeet in the TV crime show CID but we don't know about his great performances in many movies including Paanch(2003), Gulaal(2009) and many more Bollywood movies.

He also impresses us as Badshah Khan in this movie. He is definitely an underrated talent of Bollywood.

4. Pavan Malhotra as Tiger Memon:

Tiger Memon who is considered as the mastermind of the blasts is one of the darkest characters in the movie and is very well played by Pavan Malhotra.

5. Kay Kay Menon and the team:

On the other hand, Kay Kay Menon and other actors who play the investigating officers also impresses us with their stellar performances.

Black Friday is one of the very few Bollywood movies which has all the material that is required for an epic movie and it is considered one of the best movies based on true events.

Best direction by Anurag Kashyap along with an impressive performance by all the actors is a treat to watch.
