Throwback: Salman Khan screamed in pain listening to Tadap Tadap after split with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan?

While Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s love story ended years ago, the topic is still a fascinating one for many Bollywood lovers. The two had met on the sets of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) and fallen in love. Their chemistry in that film is still one of the best in Bollywood romances. But like Salman Khan’s former relationships, things did not progress to better heights. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan broke up with him saying that it was tough to deal with his alcoholism and temper. She admitted that she had undergone mental and emotional abuse. There were also reports of how he would speak badly to her parents. 

In 2001, the affair ended on a bad note. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan suffered professionally as she was replaced from Shah Rukh Khan’s Chalte Chalte, and even lost out on few movies from big banners. The incident where a police complaint was filed against him for creating ruckus outside her door is widely documented. The superstar admitted to the incident saying he was upset and emotional, which is why this happened. Sohail Khan had later said that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan did not make Salman Khan feel secure with her love. 

He was quoted as saying, “Now she (Aishwarya) weeps in public. When she was going around with him when she used to visit our home so often like part of the family, did she ever acknowledge the relationship? She never did.” He said that made Salman Khan very insecure and he would act too emotionally. It seems he wanted to know if she was as invested as he was in their love. Sohail Khan further said, “She would never let him be sure of that.” It was often reported to be more of a one-sided affair. The actress had also said that he had a possessive and suspicious nature. It seems he would link her with almost every male co-star. 

Later, composer Ismail Darbar said that Salman Khan was so affected by the split that he would scream whenever he would hear Tadap Tadap being played anywhere. He would tell people to just stop the song. It seems he saw it with his own eyes. 

Salman Khan said that he has often reflected on what could have gone wrong in his affairs. He said that after four to five break-ups, he began to self-introspect a lot more, and realized even he could have been wrong.
