Little munchkin and the internet's muse Taimur Ali Khan turned 1 on 20^th December. To celebrate the chote nawab's birthday, his family were gathered at the Pataudi Palace in Delhi. In attendance were Taimur's parents Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, Grandma Sharmila Tagore and Babita Kapoor, Grandfather Randhir Kapoor and Masi Karisma Kapoor with her kids.

While the internet couldn't hold their excitement after looking at the adorable pictures of the birthday boy, a lot of them also questioned Ranbir Kapoor's absence from the event as it is known that Mamu Ranbir is fond of Taimur.

According to a report in a leading daily, Ranbir was very much a part of Taimur's personal invite list for his birthday party and he wanted to go but his prior work commitments didn't allow him to do so. The source revealed, "Ranbir is very fond of Taimur and that is also one of the reasons he was invited for Taimur's celebration. Ranbir was keen to go, but a few important work-related things came up and he could not make it".

On the work front, Ranbir has two big upcoming projects - A biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt and Brahmastra.

Ranbir is caught up with Dutt biopic where he plays the role of Sanjay Dutt. The movie also stars Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Manisha Koirala and Dia Mirza in pivotal roles. The release date of the same is unannounced.

With this Kapoor is also busy preparing for his role in Brahmastra which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles and is slated to release in 2019.

How we wish Ranbir was present at the party so that we could see the adorable pictures of the strikingly good-looking Mama - Bhanja pair.
